245/50 19 Tire Review Highlights

Michelin CrossClimate 2 SUV rated 86% while driving a BMW X3
Driving on a combination of roads for 250 average miles
When these tires were fitted to my BMW X3 I could noise the difference straight away. The car was noticeably quieter at motorway speeds and handles lumps and bumps in the road much better. My previous tire to this was a Pirelli P7 Run Flats.
These tires are a much better all rounder. They don’t appear to be manufactured with the minimum tread wear indicators. The Michelins also come with 7mm tread when brand new. I would recommend these for our British climate.

Yokohama Advan Sport V107 rated 53% while driving a BMW I7 xDrive60
Driving on a combination of roads for 3000 easy going miles
These tires came on my 2024 BMW I7 xDrive60 that I ordered with 19” wheels. This is an all electric drive car for those who may not know. Honestly, on ribbon smooth, relatively newly paved roads, the tires are nearly silent. However, on a recent 1200 mile road trip to Northern California, when worn pavement surfaces were encountered, at highway speeds of 60 to 75mph, the tires absolutely ROARED, making the interior of this very luxurious sedan VERY uncomfortable. I’m not talking about hitting a “rough patch,” I’m talking about areas where the noise was constant for MILES on end! If I encountered such roads on a daily basis, I would immediately replace these tires with another brand. However, where I live in South Orange County, I rarely encounter such road surfaces. I believe that these tires were not fully vetted by BMW and should not have been chosen as standard equipment for this marvelously quiet sedan. BMW should have Pirelli or Continental produce a “bespoke,” ultra premium tire for this very special, ultra luxurious sedan of theirs.

Bridgestone Alenza 001 rated 94% while driving a BMW X3 2.0d Sport
Driving on a combination of roads for 25000 average miles
Replaced original Michelins. Quieter, more comfortable and good all round performance. Wear has been good, currently at 3.8mm after 25k mikes.

Pirelli Cinturato P7 C2 rated 82% while driving a BMW X3
Driving on mostly motorways for 3000 average miles
Feeling good, though a bit numb. The price for a well rounded, very comfy tire, that grips confident. No insecure feeling at all. But, of course, not for pushing it on the edge... remember, it's a touring tire.
It is BMW OE equipment, I well consider to refit next time.

Bridgestone Dueler HP Sport rated 10% while driving a BMW X3
Driving on for 0 miles
came on my 2021 X3 30i BMW, these are the most dangerous tires I have ever driven on on the highway. BMW should be ashamed of putting these on the X3 for sure. I have searched the internet to find out what the heck is wrong with my vehicle. Dealer says "VEHICLE DOES FOLLOW ROAD RUTTS. NORMAL" I am almost 70 years old and have never driven anything like this in my life and apparently I am not alone. check out these websites : https://www.carproblemzoo.com/bmw/x3/2021/steering-problems.php https://www.tirerack.com/survey/SurveyComments.jsp?&category=tire&additionalComments=y&commentStatus=P&tireMake=Bridgestone&tireModel=Dueler+H%2FP+Sport+AS&fromTireDetail=true&partnum=45HR9HPSASXL&tirePageLocQty=%26partnum%3D45HR9HPSASXL In case I left any doubt, NO I DO NOT RECOMMEND THESE TIRES

Pirelli P Zero Runflat rated 53% while driving a BMW 730d
Driving on mostly country roads for 5000 average miles
Absolutely shocking - I have had 7 of these tires now in 18 months - all punctured. As a result I will never by a BMW again - nor will I buy a run flat tire again.
