275/40 19 Tire Review Highlights

Continental AllSeasonContact rated 82% while driving a BMW X3 35d
Driving on mostly country roads for 1000 average miles
I recently replaced the runflat Pirelli P Zero tires on my 2017 X3 35d M Sport with Continental AllSeasonContact tires in 245/45 R19 front and 275/40 R19 rear sizes. My goal was to find all-season tires that would provide better ride quality with the M Sport suspension. The Continental AllSeasonContact tires have delivered on that, providing a relatively sporty ride while also being much more comfortable than the Pirelli P Zero tires. They offer a generally softer feel and a notably higher tolerance for potholes and expansion joints.

The grip levels are high on dry roads, and they also perform very well in wet conditions, although there is some loss of feel compared to the runflat P Zero. Overall, I am very satisfied with the Continental AllSeasonContact tires, as the car is now much more comfortable, considerably quieter, and generally delivers a more typical SUV feel than I experienced with the runflat tires. I have used Michelin CrossClimate+ and Goodyear Vector Gen 3 fitments on other SUVs, and I find that Continental AllSeasonContact tires are a very good alternative.

Pirelli P Zero rated 75% while driving a Ford Mustang gt
Driving on mostly town for 21000 average miles
All aspects of the tires are comparable to ALL my experiences with this type of tire ( specs ) through many years of different vehicles , from Mercedes , Porsche etc EXCEPT for the MILEAGE aspect. At some 18,500 kms I now need to replace ALL four tires on my Mustang GT. This is around 50% expected usage - NOT ACCEPTABLE.

BFGoodrich g Grip All Season 2 rated 44% while driving a Ford Unknown
Driving on mostly motorways for 542 average miles
I find that the wear rate is wonderful, no road noise and good comfort. I find that they are dangerous on any rwd car over 400hp. My car will chatter them in fourth gear under medium acceleration to highway speeds.

Accelera PHI 2 rated 27% while driving a BMW 530D Xdrive Msport
Driving on a combination of roads for 1000 average miles
I've driven alot of high powered rwd cars, yet now I'm driving a sensible 4wd diesel I've never been killed so much in my entire life, the person who put these on a car should be put away for attempted murder !! In the wet I've never experienced anything like it, no warning, the car will let go so you better be awake. Lots of tread left but I value my own life so will be changing these asap

Absolutely LETHAL! Do not fit these to any car that you care about. Do not fit them to any vehicle of any sort, unless you want the driver to die. Do not even bother to stock them if you are a dealer. These are truly one of the worst tires I have ever had the misfortune to be forced to drive on. Fitted to the car before we purchased it, previous owner thought they were being clever by fitting Grim Reaper rubber on the cheap to the back axle. Dont. Just dont! These are bad in the dry. They are UNBELIEVABLY TERRIBLE in the wet! Almost no notification before it breaks traction, very little feedback to the driver, noisy, poor ride comfort/quality. No redeeming features apart from the fact they are black and hold air. I am used to high powered cars and these were on a puny 180bhp X3 that we got for my other half as a family wagon for our little-un. After one drive in the wet, I parked the car and refused to give my other half the keys until we'd booked the car in for a replacement pair of tires. We fitted Hankook Ventus S1 Evo3 as a replacement and even when TRYING to upset the handling, the Hankooks refuse to let-go. The worst that I can force the Hankooks into, is a gentle and progressive slide.. and thats when I'm TRYING to be an idiot with them! Honestly, these Acceleras are about £90 each for 275/40/19..... for £150 you can get a truly fantastic tire. Your life depends on tires and brakes. Dont cheap-out on either of them! You deserve better than this tire. I will not even be selling these tires on - I will be puting a disc-cutter through the entire tire and it will become scrap. These tires are dangerous and should not be permitted to be sold in the UK. Genuinely as bad as a Wanli or a LingLong or a HappyGallop or Landsail tire.... and that's a big insult!

Radar Dimax R8 plus rated 10% while driving a Mercedes Benz CL500
Driving on a combination of roads for 1000 average miles
Tires installed on rear were very unstable and would not track well in the rear. The car was wobbling and un-safe. The mercedes shop could not find anything wrong with the car after 3 hours of checking and test driving. And looking for suspension or steering issues. It was recommended that i change the tires to see what happens . Had to finally replace the tires with P-Zeros which instantly changed the behavior of the car and made it stable as before the The Radar R8plus Very very disappointed - these do not work for luxury performance cars. I checked and others have had similar experiences on A7. I would never buy again. I am returning them and hope they don't give me the runaround.

Absolutely outstanding tires. I've had them all and paid for the best. These were recommended to me and I dubiously tried. I wouldn't use anything else. Wear quality is so good compared to pirelli, handling is great well done guys, à great tire.

Accelera PHI 2 rated 20% while driving a Ford Mustang gt
Driving on a combination of roads for 1000 spirited miles
Bought in an emergency and they tire was the only one available and we’re only fitted to the back axles. Drove the tires on various country roads and motorways in both wet and dry condition. The Back end would constantly drift. I had the car on several occasions drift out. I recall one occasion when entering a chicane at constant speed, the back end drifted unexpectedly. I’d say these tires are dangerous in terms of road feel.

Dunlop Sport Maxx 050 Plus rated 79% while driving a BMW 535i Gran Turismo
Driving on mostly town for 500 average miles
Generally a good value mid performance touring tire for summer. Cost 1/3 lesser than PZ4, about 10-15% cheaper, am satisfied with the car overall performance. Replace this over my Primacy RFT.
