These tires have been a pleasant surprise. Continental is, after all, synonymous with a guarantee of quality. The tire has excellent grip on both dry and wet asphalt, the feedback is very good, and they provide a good sense of confidence. The tires performed very well even on the track (although they are not trackday tires), with excellent grip up to 85 degrees before they start to slide. They are very easy to manage at the limit. On the road, you have a good feeling with the front axle, especially compared to the Michelin Pilot Sport 4S which were always a bit vague on turn-in.Tire wear and degradation are quite rapid. You need camber or the shoulder will degrade very quickly.

Tire is very good on dry roads but must slow down in wet weather. Hydroplaning happens on standing water or heavy rain.
Tire is pretty good for warm weather autocross but typically run 3 is fastest as the tires need heat for peak grip. In cool weather, it is difficult to warm the tires sufficiently for competitive times.
Tire is quite good for track use, handles heat quite well. Might not be the fastest tire but definitely is consistent for multiple laps.

I had these on my rear-wheel-drive Jaguar when I left the Uk in January 2024, as soon as we hit France is started snowing, the snow settled by the time we were in Holland and increased in intensity, the snow was sometimes Icy, slushy and deep as we drove across Europe. In Germany on the autobahns the snow was preyty heavy and the car always felt stable and grippy. Hitting Poland, it was very snowy, ended up off the motorway and headed south into the mountains. Google took us on every little windy steep hill road it could find, I was worried the car would not cope, but it did. The tires worked and we got safely to my destination. Definitely will buy the tires again, oh I have.

Notice very bad wear on the inner rear wheels .posted my concern on Facebook and received many responses.some even posted photos of the exact problem I am having with these tires

Michelin Pilot Sport 4 S rated 84% while driving a BMW M4 Competition

My BMW M3 Competition xDrive had Pirelli's from the factory. They were ok... but after having read some reviews of the Michelin Pilot Sport 4S * (the M3/M4 version of it), I opted for these ones after 27.000 km (around 17.000 miles) on the Pirelli's.
The Michelin are even better on dry roads, even better than Michelin Supersport (more relaxed as far as temperature is concerned).
In the wet, I would say that I feel the PS 4S* a little bit better than the Pirelli's. Not really for 'surprise' slides, but for basic wet grip. Anyway. With tires like these ones, when your car is feeling 'happy', it means you are driving like a maniac.
I did not notice a difference in road noise and in comfort.
I did notice a difference in control and feedback. It seems like you get more information from the road and the car and, therefore. A better control.
I have not yet tested the Michelin on Spa-Francorchamps or the Nürbürgring, so I cannot comment the trackday part of the joy.

Michelin Pilot Sport 4 S rated 93% while driving a Audi RS 5

The other tires I've had on the car are Pirelli P zeros and Conti DWS. The PS4S works better on the RS5 than the Pirelli or Conti in all conditions I've driven them in. I was surprised by the other reviews talking about the lack of feel because these have given what was generally a fairly numb steering feel its best feel so far.

Not many reviews of these yet, but based on the excellent review from this site, I decided I would give them a try when my Michelin Pilot Super Sports came to the end of useful life. The M4 is a demanding car on it's tires to say the least and I came very close to going with Michelin again. I am SO glad I took a chance and went for it....the Continenal SportContact 7 has been astonishing since the day they were fitted. In every single way these tires are superior to the PSS! Dry grip and traction is exceptional, but what is noticeable is how much more grip they give when cold. The PSS's main issue was always that they needed a bit of heat before you could lean on them. Wet grip is astonishingly improved over the PSS....it literally feels like a different car in the wet. Both these things I expected based on the review, but what I wasn't expecting was a tire that is also significantly quieter, handles perfectly and still manages to exceed the steering feel I had with the PSS. There literally isn't a downside to these tires so far. I've even got a sneaking suspicion that my MPG has gone up also. Oh and finally I managed to get a complete staggered set of 4 of these for £100 less that the PS4S would have been and 100s less that a new set of PSS tires....for the performance you get these are a bargain! The only thing I can't comment on yet is wear....to be fair the PSS was excellent in this area. Will report back once I have run them longer, but so far these tires are quite simply the best road tire out there.

Pirelli P Zero rated 70% while driving a Jaguar XKR

On the upside lots of grip, rollover a penny and I could tell you whether it is heads or tails, it's the Jaguar specified OEM tire for the early XKR and it does a good job. That is assuming the P Zero itself is the same as 25 years back, tech moves on and OEM tires aren't necessarily the same as the same model aftermarket ones. On the downside road noise is loud enough to be distracting, it's about as comfortable as a hobnailed clog, seems to take some time to warm up and whilst cornering grip seems to be very good in the wet I'm less convinced about it's grip in acceleration. Wet roads result in lots of traction control under heavyish acceleration. Though no issues with braking. On the major downside... I cannot detect any advance warning that the limit of grip is approaching or reached. No squeal or feel, just grip, grip, grip, hedge. I'm currently running mine at the comfort setting of 28 psi as the XKR just doesn't feel like a GT car at normal recommended pressures. Ride is too harsh otherwise, tramlining too frequent to be an enjoyable. Though at 28psi I worry about potholes with those 20" rims on. I've just bought some 18" rims so will try something else on those, save the 20s and the Pzeros for a track day or two and put them back in when the weather warms up a bit. It is afterall a summer tire. Note however that I live in rural Wales, so dry days come about one afternoon per year, the roads are often potholed and I probably haven't got the best out of the tires in relatively cold conditions. However on motorway runs where you merely want an easy life the tramlining is an annoying issue. Reducing the pressure helps but doesn't eliminate this. You'd be hard pushed to reach the tire's limits on back roads so long as they're warm, though on the sort of twisty A roads which epitomise much of Wales finding the limits results in a trip to the body shop after being assaulted by the undergrowth. So thus far it seems like a strange fit for a Grand Tourer but will add a review in the supposed summer to see whether it's merely not mong friendly.

Must admit I am very impressed. There is not a single aspect in which I can fault these tires. Excellent dry grip and progressive at the limit, settled in the wet with good aquaplaning resistance which is important on 285 section tires. Quiet on poor roads and consideration how much I like to turn the traction control off they are only showing minimal wear. It is difficult to comprehend how much better the Michelin PS4s could be to warrant the astronomical price difference. Car is a '13 Jaguar XKR 500bhp

I bought two new Pace Alventi's for the rear of my XKR. As our speed limit is only 100km hr, no point in buying over engineered tires to do 275khr.

They have worn reletevly quickly nearly worn out at 15,000km. Dry road grip is good, wet road use needs some care, but this is also down to the house of the car.

Quite a lot of tire noise and after a good inspection found a bulge on the inside wall approx 100mm along the tire wall.

I'd say the tires lived up to expectation due to the price, however I'll be replacing with a different brand.

Cheap tire. Expect to replace in a short period of time, inspect inner side walls for bulges.

Dollar for dollar ill buy a more expensive tire next with better lifespan.
