Methodology & Configuration
Scoring Process
  1. Collect Test Data: Gather results from professional tire tests across multiple publications. Minimum 1 test(s) required.
  2. Normalize Positions: Convert test positions to percentile scores using exponential weighting (factor: 1.2).
  3. Apply Recency Weighting: More recent tests are weighted higher with a decay rate of 0.95.
  4. Incorporate User Reviews: Factor in user review data (minimum 5 reviews). Weight: 15%.
  5. Bayesian Smoothing: Apply Bayesian prior (score: 7, weight: 1.5) to prevent extreme scores with limited data.
  6. Calculate Final Score: Combine all components using normalization factor of 1.1. Max score with limited data: 9.5.

Top 3 Bridgestone BATTLAX SPORT TOURING T30 Reviews

Given 71% while driving a Honda CB900F Hornet (180/55 R17) on mostly country roads for 4,700 average miles
These were on the bike when I bought it and were almost new. No major issues in wet or dry, steering a little slow and steady, very stable on brakes. Reasonable mileage - rear worn to TWI bar, front would still have gone further but was losing shape. Replaced with T32's

Given 71% while driving a Honda vfr1200 gt (190/55 R17 W) on a combination of roads for 4,300 spirited miles
I've been a Bridgestone fan for years but have to say let down by the wear rate of the T30. 4300 miles and both tires done on my VFR1200, nothing like the hype. Maybe should have gone for the Gt version.

Given 74% while driving a Honda ST1100 Pan European (160/70 R17 W) on mostly country roads for 6,000 spirited miles
I have used several tire makes over the years as i am a high mileage user average 10k a year, I look for value, grip and longevity.
I tend to ride in a progressive style with a mix of solo and pillion.
The T30`s give excellent grip on both wet and dry surfaces with no dramas.
However they are expensive to buy and only lasted 6000 miles, but are very stable.
In summary, good gripping tires but do not last so are not great value, but this is my requirements, if grip was my only concern then these would be near the top of the list.

Given 70% while driving a Yamaha FZ6 (120/70 R17 W) on a combination of roads for 6,400 spirited miles
Tire wore into a funny "V" pattern that made cornering feel weird for the last 1000-2000 miles. Not sure why. Cords were showing on the right side today after 6,400 miles (I had expected more out of a sport touring front tire . . .).

Replaced with T30 EVO today. Will see if it lasts better.

Given 81% while driving a Kawasaki kawasaki z800 (180/55 R17 W) on mostly motorways for 12,500 average miles
I need to replace stock tire which is Dunlop Sportmax, dont remember what model. using my bike to travel about 500 miles in every 2 weeks. so, I need sport touring tire that can have a good mileage. my friend suggest this tire and i give a try.

first impression, this tire have a good grip in hot day, but during rain it slip especially at road marking. didnt push too much on corner since i know its sport touring tire. but i did get about 20000KM (12500 miles) by average ride at speed of 140-160km/h (86-100mph).

now i'm using same tire with different size. 190/50, this tire even more stable during cornering. and this time i install bazzaz to increase performances and now my average riding speed about 160-180km/h (100-110mph). now already at 20000km (12500 miles), but still have about 40% thread at center.

front tire i use T30 120/70, i lose count of the mileage, but its about 18000 miles or 30000km.

definitely will buy as my next tire.

Given 87% while driving a Honda VFR 800 (225/45 R17) on mostly motorways for 6,400 spirited miles
Having now covered 6000 miles 10k km. Riding a VFR800 IN ALL weathers both single and two up with luggage on high-speed long distance motorway trips and shorter A and B road thrashing, these tires have been excelent. Grippy and stable even at 0 degrees Celsius in heavy rain. A bit squared of on the rear after repeated motorway use is all, still have 3-5 mm tread depth and am confident they'd be good for another 1500 miles, with more balanced riding. Almost S20 performance but with more than double the life. Can't fault them.

Given 61% while driving a Honda VFR 800 (225/45 R17) on a combination of roads for 2,500 spirited miles
I've had the T30 on my VFR 800 Vtec for 2 months covering 2500 miles (4000KM).
In that time they have covered "fun" rides and commuting on a mixture of roads with and without luggage, both in and out of town.
The grip levels are fine in the dry for a tire with expect high mileage capability, compared to the S20 Evo Tires fitted before, the bike squirms and slips a little more in both wet and dry conditions on surface changes in corners, noticeable mostly on the rear, it's not accident causing, but noticeable. In the wet the tire is good and holds on nicely, metal covers should be avoided though. Recently on a 240 mile wet run on the motorway 60 - 85MPH (100 – 140KM) in heavy rain and spray, I had no cause to doubt the tires; the T30 is stable and comfortable at speed even with running water on the road. Good wear rates observed so far; starting to notice a little wear, this tire should see me through the winter at 1200 miles a month.
