absolutely superb tires , amazing grip in wet or dry , but where they really excel is in comfort , most 19 inch tires ive had are back breaking but these absorb the bumps and potholes , hugely impressive

To Mr Renault Megane... no wonder you only get 9000 out of a set of tires... any track day done properly will shred any tire you can buy... you probably should have a track day set of tires.. and use the CSC 5 P's for the road... I've already cracked 11,000 klm's on my 5P's and should get another 20,000 or more... easily ... and still loving them more and more...

Have been through two sets of 5P's. Great tire BUT they generate all of their grip from being super soft. 18,000 miles out of two(!!) sets of tires. They do everthing brilliantly but don't expect them to last long. 95% of my driving is freeway drives with one track day on each set and about 8 "spirited" weekend drives on each set. They are made out of plasticine. Probably won't be fitting another set.

Given 93% while driving a Audi TT S (255/35 R19) on a combination of roads for 7,000 spirited miles
Howdy from down under, what can I say, these tires have changed the charracteristic understeer that my quattro audi has, at speed when on the highway, country road or having a hoot around town, these tires give me real bite and turn in plus extra grip compared to what I had with the standard issue conti contact 3's it came with from the factory, they have totally changed the driving of the car.. fabulous turn in, grip is fantastic, favourite corners can now be taken at 10klm per hour or more faster than before.. :-D with NO SLIPPAGE...confidence level when driving has gone up up up.. side walls are "soft" as people say so noodling around town they seem a bit funny but when it counts at speed.. very impressive.. and my HP and torque are plus 20% than standard TTS from an APR upgrade, tires handle that with ease.. best tire on the planet? ..who knows.. am I a very very happy camper.. can't stop smiling.. will definitely buy again..

Excellent grip in the wet, great in the dry when they warm up. A bit silly in city driving and low speeds.

Given 91% while driving a Audi A5 (255/35 R19 W) on a combination of roads for 3,000 average miles
Took the winter tires off and decided to go with conti 5p after the good reviews they have had. As we live in the UK and the roads are not the best the choice was right as these tires have a softer side wall and cushion the bumps in the road making the ride better. Got a heavy V6 diesel up front too so it helps alot not to have a tire with too stiff side walls. Grips the road like no other tires i have had in both wet and dry conditions, come out of a cornerand put the power on and the car sticks the the road like glue. I am very impressed with them and have had Michelinn pilots sports before and the contis are way better! A touch more road noise perhaps but the performance of these tires out weighs this. Simply brilliant tires

Given 100% while driving a Volkswagen Passat CC (235/40 R18 W) on mostly motorways for 15,000 spirited miles

Just today fitted 2 off Conti Sport 5 to front wheels of Passat CC 2.00 tdi
140 bhp Blue motion (2011 model)
Replacing Conti Sports 3's which had covered 15000 miles in 9 months of mainly fast motorway driving.
Cant say anything yet as no miles covered, Hope they are better than 3's as never 100% sure with grip, and not really happy with wear rate, but on changing found that all 4 tires were 7 psi under inflated 32psi not 39 psi and tracking was out on front.
Putting the correct PSI in has certainly hardened up ride even on comfort setting, will be interesting when I switch to Sport (shake my fillings loose)

Anyway I will update when a few miles covered

Given 76% while driving a Alfa Romeo 159 (235/35 R19 W) on mostly motorways for 18,000 spirited miles
I used these tires for the last 9 months.

Grip dry and wet is supurb !

But the tires are noisy. (The professional reviews i have read all mentioned it)

I did not think the noise would bother me that much and i didn't.
Untill i just changed for the winter tires.
And now my car has a quiet ride. Now i think the noise does bother me.

When these tires are finished i am not sure i will buy them again. But only because of the noise they make.

If you don't drive long ends, it wouldn't matter.

Conclusion: Execellent tires, but noisy !

Given 80% while driving a Subaru Forester sti (235/40 R18) on a combination of roads for 5,000 average miles
Very grippy tires, confidence inspiring in the wet and dry. Currently lasting very well for such a grippy tire, were even performing well when they were improperly installed by the tire shop (they used regular Forester Settings rather than STI e.g. 0 camber at the front)

Now I have them setup correctly the feel is even better. Quite a civilized performance tire with decent road noise and comfort but...

Sidewalls definitely feel softer than the Bridgestone PZ-1 Playz which it came on, even with a lower sidewall (235/40 versus 225/45).

However, overall this is probably a good thing as I'm not on the track 24x7 and the car spends most of its time ferrying me to work and back.

Overall this tire will keep you safe in pretty much all conditions, won't irritate you and performs well on the track. Probably the tire I should buy again!

Given 81% while driving a Honda Civic Type R (225/35 R19 W) on mostly town for 10,000 average miles
I have put those contis on my Type R after replacing my old Yoko Advan Sport.
Look of the alloy together with the tire is not good...The tire stops the car better than any other tried before.Handling in corners is good but not best.I think Yokos were better and were given more confidence to me.This tire is very good in straigh lines -stucks like a glue on the road but DAMN! its very very soft .Side walls of the tire should be more hard.In general never put a tire made for German Cars on a Japanese car :-)). OK kidding, nice tire but I would go with Yokos-->Better handling in turns, harder sidewalls, more Kms /life and better look.In wet yokos are not the best..but who cares when you live in Greece? :)

Absolute heaven and worthy of the rave reviews they are getting. Amazing comfort, feedback and wet grip. I've used allot of tires over the last few years on many cars (Dunlop, Goodyear, Bridgstone, Michelin)

Like all Continentals expensive and I'm expecting them not to last quite as long as an equivalent premium manufacturer. But if you really care about your car you will buy this tire! I can see why Audi have now started fitting these as OE spec to RS3's and R8's.
