Fitted today to my 3rd generation Audi allroad (A6 C7) as I wanted precisely this mix (10% offroad) in an all-season tire with an "open" pattern (lower land/sea ratio verging towards "M+S").
The originals were 255 section Dunlops and there was noticeable aquaplaning in the current very wet UK weather. 235s are the entry level size and better for these wetter wintry conditions, but I can at least use them throughout most of the year refitting the 19" wheels over the summer.
I'm happy to accept the compromise of all-seasons as my other cars have winter tires/CWTs so will be used in more adverse conditions.
Previous allroads have been awesome in all weathers (excepting ice) on 245/45 18" Goodyear Wrangler AT/R but these are not available in the right size for the latest A6 allroad and production ceased c.2008 anyway.
It will be interesting to see how these Coopers perform in comparison (I've only done 50 miles so far), but A4 allroad, Octavia Scout and Insignia Country Tourer drivers will need to look elsewhere.
Update with scores to follow.
