A garage stuck these on my car so it would pass it's MOT before I bought it. I was chuffed at the thought of having new tires up front but that feeling soon went away when I discovered how poor these tires are in the rain. In the dry, they perform pretty well, never had an issue with it. The problem starts when the road is wet, I had to do an emergency stop when someone pulled out of a junction in front of me and I can honestly say I've never been so scared as I braked from about 25mph, the car just seemed to keep on going. Another experience would be motorway driving with these tires, there was heavy rain and I noticed my traction control light blinking on several occasions if I so much as changed lane or proceeded to overtake.
In terms of handling, these tires grip fairly well however understeer is definitely an issue.
After doing 6,500 miles on these over 4 months, I can say there is no drone, noise or loss of comfort and no problems with balancing.
I can't see myself ever putting these on a car and will endeavour to get them off the car before the snow comes.

As per all other reviews, the tires are not bad in the wet, but I attempted to set off from some traffic lights whilst it was raining, and the wheels simply spun. I have a 1.8 Corsa and I was using next to no throttle, the car was just inching forward as it struggled for traction, I thought I left the handbrake on or something. Im writing this review because I had to slam on the brakes hard on the motorway (raining) and nearly ruined my trousers, I have abs but it was just not stopping. Stay away!

These tires nearly killed me! I bought my car with 2 of these on the back, firstly the car's suspension has been professionally set up and the tire pressures are checked weekly.

The tires are ok in the dry, never worried me at all.

Then it rained, now my car is powerful but it is like driving in snow. After a few wobbles I decided to re-brief myself a bit in case I was driving like a tit. So I made sure not to be clumsy with the throttle, but when I got sideways at 1/4 throttle in fifth at 70mph on the motorway I got worried. I am so glad I am not alone in hating these tires because I thought I was simply out of my depth with my car when I spun on a roundabout at 15mph. Now I have never come close to spinning a car, having done over 100 000 miles between a 2.8 turbo Capri and an mx5, including 2 track days.

I was going to sell my car before I hurt myself or someone else then I read these reviews. To the people understeering in hatchbacks you have my sympathy, but now you will understand if you see a 400bhp nissan reversing off a roundabout in the few days it takes me to order some pirelli p zeros.

These are the most dangerous tires I have ever bought.
I had these fitted in July. Early on, on wet days they scared me, but recently it's been wetter, it's been awful.
I have just paid to have them removed after 10 weeks - I have been terrified driving them over the last 3 weeks, with a slightly wet road and no rain, they are like driving on black ice (at 12C), roundabouts have to be taken at half the speed of all the cars around me.
Every time I hit the line on a bus lane, the grip vanishes.
I cannot believe these are legal, I have complained to the supplier who chose them.

All I can say is that these tires really are not suited to the UK weather! They are pretty good in the dry givng a fair amount of grip and reasonable feedback with minimal road noise but get even a slightly damp road and they lose grip without any warning whatsoever! I am an extremely experienced driver and hold a couple of advanced driving qualifications and I am having to be VERY careful in the damp and wet with these Event WL905's on the front of the car. Entering roundabouts in the rain has to be done with extreme care and significantly slower than normal to avoid understeer and if you touch a white line or road marking you are almost guaranteed to lose grip completely. I have got loads of tread left on these tires but am going to be changing them ASAP as I value my car and life!

I have to admit...I do rate these event WL905's, had two new ones fitted to the front when I first bought my Audi A3 up north in Sheffield, then straight after drove with them for over 300 miles back to London. I broke them in proper though, first 150 miles kept to 60 to 70mph on motorway, after I couldn't help it but put my foot down a bit! Mainly because I wanted to test my cars TDI engine. The car was superb on the motorway, very quiet, smooth...then I remembered about the two new tires on the front! They must have played a part in my cars performance, smoothness and quiet running! Anyway after four hours of driving through varying weather conditions, yes it did have occasional downpours as well during that motorway journey...I found my car was excellent not to mention these budget tires...over the forthcoming six months since I've had my car I've done 5500 miles now...and what can I say?...tires are still as good as the day I bought them!..grip and wear is very satisfactory! Next month I'm going to need to replace another tire at the rear, currently there's a falken ZE912 on but il be shopping for another event WL905!..cheap and very cheerful!

These came on my MK5 GTi Golf when I bought it. They were as new and lasted 15k ish miles before needing replaced. Generally I would avoid budget tires but I found these to be actually rather good on the Golf. I also had them on a E46 BMW before-hand and thought they were OK. Continentals that replaced them were better though. Overall if you're looking a cheap tire I don't think you could go far wrong. Much better than the Wanli's my wife's MINI came with (they were down right dangerous!)

Bought these tires with some trepidation as the vehicle was fitted with a combination of Continentals on the rear and Bridgestones on the front.
Was spinning all four wheels on the wet and it was not good.
Thought about fitting quality rubber but my tire guy sold me 4 Event WL905s.
I said I did not want rubbish and he said these were what he honestly reccomended, Adding that he fits about 100 a week to taxis etc and has had no problems.
Sold to the skinflint in the Audi!!
At £250 for all four fitted I was dubious at first but having now driven in all conditions (Except snow) with these tires for 1500 miles, I can find no fault with the performance of these tires.
No more spinning all four without meaning to and no more ESP light under hard acceleration, I dont drive my car like I stole it but do occasionaly grab it by the "scruff of the neck" and these tires are not letting me down.
I can only imagine people who are having "handling/grip" issues are employing some very advanced/questionable driving techniques and would do better investing in racing slicks and some tire warmer blankets!

When these tires were new they were quite reasonable for a budget tire.
Dry grip was pretty good and wet grip wasn't as bad as some people make out in my opinion. However, now they're down to about 3mm they have become proper scary in the wet,they aquaplane for fun and induce really disconcerting amounts of understeer.
I can only assume that the compound has gone off, and so these tires going off before I have an accident, and by the way the wear rate is rubbish.

bought a pair of event tires had them on the car 5 days they arnt good .Grip in dry and wet seems ok but the noise they give off isnt good as other people have mentioned on this site it sounds like your car wheel bearings need replacing ! replaced them with a pair of Avons fantasic tires trust me spend alittle more money or you will regret it

THESE TYRES ARE ABSOLUTELY RUBBISH BUY AT YOUR PERIL THERE IS NO GRIP IN THE WET AND NOT MUCH BETTER IN THE DRY, I HAVE ONLY DONE 8000 MILES AND THEY ARE NEARLY WORN OUT. I AM 60 YEARS OLD AND NOT A BOY RACER. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!

Can only agree with previous comments,reasonable dry performance for the price but attempt to negotiate a corner in the wet at your peril,you'll understeer into the nearest tree, they even manage to lose all traction when they encounter lane marking paint, utter garbage leave well alone.
