MINI Cooper S (235/40 R17) on mostly country roads for 6,000 spirited miles
Lasted about 6k on the front. Great grip in the dry, not so great in the wet, corners very well, would buy again

Given 80% while driving a Nissan 350z (265/30 R18) on a combination of roads for 0 spirited miles
i run these as a daily on my car 265 rear and 235 front.
apart from the road noise, which is quite loud, the grip levels are awesome, relative to the price of these. i drove last year from Johannesburg, to Durban, 7 hours in heavy rain and had zero issues. on the track i enjoy them, very progressive, i find you need to run them very hard on the track, tire pressure wise. Way better feel than the TOYO i had on the car before.

I do not agree with these being in the trackday category. I har Toyo R888s before and I am loosing 4 seconds a lap with these. As a road tire they are far better in the dry than any road tire.

Given 66% while driving a Volkswagen polo gti 1.8t (215/45 R16 W) on mostly motorways for 12,000 average miles
Pros: When they get hot the dry grip is absolutely amazing!
Cons: they are really hard, would not recommend them for daily driven cars
Bottom line: a great value for money

Nissan (255/40 R18) on a combination of roads for 5,000 spirited miles
These are just the perfect tires for anyone who has a fast street car. Decent wet performance, very grippy in dry conditions and especially in low profile form very communicative.

For mostly track use they are the perfect fit for budget minded people who are looking for extra performance but do not wish to spend 4 times as much for 888 for example. Those cost nearly double and wear twice as fast. They are obviously the better tire, but in no way 4 times as good or even double.

Tire preasure however is very very important with these tires. For me the sweetspot is @ 2,9 bar. If it drops only 0.2 bar the grip and handling deteriorates very quickly. At 2,6 bar they heat up quickly and loose their direct feel, probably due to the walls loosing stiffness. They where pretty much undrivable.
I suspect most people posting here reporting issues with them probably are running not enough presure in their tires.

I also had the issue with the cracks across the thread where the moulds came together, but this isn't a problem for safety and it doesn't affect performance at all.

All and all a good tire for the price and especially well suited for faster street cars which are driven fast. Much better then toyo proxes or bridgestone potenzas etc. Fitted to hot hatches driving on the street these will be a riot i imagine.
For track use they are a decent budget choise, but there are obviously better tires outthere for that purpose, but they all do carry a different pricetag.

cheap - I have or had these on a mini cooper S JCW - they are very good street tires particularly for the money - bit noisey but safe and fun - but - they are no R spec tire - on hill climb and circuit they sound like a hollywood sound effect, the car will not just to turn in with them no matter what pressure is run - I was blaming myself but a guy with a Toyota 86 and a guy with a golf gti both volunteered the same problems - I think the compound is maybe a bit hard so they will wear well - but for track and hillclimb I now use the Toyo R888-R

Given 90% while driving a Renault Renault Sport Megane 225 (225/45 R17) on a combination of roads for 1,000 average miles
I bought these as a substitute for Yokohama Parada Spec 2 and some average Bridgestone tires and all I can say is wow. The grip is phenomenal even in cold weather. They simply grip and grip without any hesitation. The steering feedback is also good and they are way more comfortable as the yokohamas.
I use them for road use only. I do not find them noisy, but the downside is that because of their composition, they pick up every little tiny rock they walk over. So if you plan using them, take my advice and do not use wider wheels or these tires will sandblast your car. Now that I am using them, I feel the need to buy some mud flaps to protect the paintwork of my car.

Given 67% while driving a BMW M3 (225/45 R17) on track for 10,000 spirited miles
I've ran these tires for a few years now on different cars. On my 400bhp focus RS (with 18" wheels) they transom the car. Night & day compared to the 19" wheels fitted with conti 3 that come with the car. Excellent tire for a high performance FWD car.

I run them on my E36 M3 track also, and again, I think they are great tires for the money. They do get a bit warm & squirm on the M3, but only after some hard laps.

For the money you won't do better. There are better tires out there - 888, V70 etc etc, but you pay near double.

Given 81% while driving a Subaru Impreza WRX STi (215/40 R17) on track for 1,500 spirited miles
Use these on a Classic shape Subaru Impreza STI (280bhp) and have done one track evening at Snetterton and 3 / 4 track evenings and one day at Brands, which probably equates to about 1500 miles (including on road use there and back too) and they are near to half worn but in great shape still.

To be honest when I had an instructor in the car could not believe how fast I could go round the corners at Snetterton, the grip is tons better than other road tires i've used on track (obviously) and they resist fade for about 15 laps of Brands Indy before needing a cool down too, but then 20 minutes later there as good as new.

As for wet grip, my last track-day evening was the wettest day of the year and at one point I aquaplaned on my right side tires, on the way to Brands, at 60 mph, and I had enough control to pull the car the way I wanted. So I would say as good as normal road tires in wet and better in the dry. Highly recommend.

I should point out this is a weekend only / track day car, so less than 3000 miles a year and I have another set of road wheels with Eagle F1's, which I can drift on, these its harder too.

If you can afford go for R888, but you can get through two sets of these for one set of them and only lose out on 5% grip level / fade resistance.

Given 100% while driving a Mazda 323F BA V6 (225/45 R17) on track for 3,000 spirited miles
Had these on my Mazda 323F Track car now since April and they have been absolutely superb! The side wall and compound of the tire gives you so much confidence on the initial turn in phase of the corner and the grip is fantastic! I will admit they are slightly less grippy in colder conditions and could do with some warming up on track to get maximum grip levels.

I wasn't expecting much in the wet due to reading all the reviews online but my god they are brilliant! I've never used a tire this good that gives you so much confidence in wet conditions even on normal roads.

Wear wise I haven't seen much at all over the 3000 miles I've covered in these since fitting them along with 2 track days. They just dont seem to wear at all! Fantastic tire for the price of £70 a corner....cannot reccomend enough!

Given 73% while driving a Subaru (225/45 R17) on track for 100 spirited miles
Best cheap semi-slick training tire. They are much better grip on dry compared with nankang ns2R. On wet they do pretty much the same. I use these tires for training days. They are not competitive as Kumho v70a which i use in competitions. I give 9 stars for 595RSR for training day.

good tire gives you confidence to push harder, not so good if weather is cold, some times cracking appears across the tread but it does not affect performance.
