In another month I going to replace the type I will like to purchase a primary 4 plus which installs in another's car in Elantra overall primary 4 plus is great tires and is quiet, or get pilot sports 5. But after another two weeks, my new board baby came into this world. I will pursue primary 4 plus for my next comfort tires

First set of tires to fit on a BMW M140i after the factory tires needed replacing. Ordinarily had the Pilot Super Sports which regularly would set off the traction control when moderately accelerating in the wet. These are a great all round tire. Very quiet on machine laid asphalt. Less so on emulsion spray and chip which is common on regional roads in Australia. I'd say the tire suits someone who has a performance car, who doesn't track it and is more looking to do GT mileage, over track days and spirited country drives on a Sunday. Amazing wear, fronts are looking near to replacement after 45000 km. Probably could get another 5000 km out of them but they are starting to show a few nicks and chips in the tread. Have done a lot of km recently on rain affected highways in SE Australia (so coarse chip roads, potholes etc)

Near on 40,000 on the front before replacing, the back still have some wear left. On my Renault kadjar, best tire and definatley the longest mileage tire I've ever had the pleasure of driving.

I suppose these are not a bad tire, but I don't class them as a great one either. In fact I would go as far to say that they are overrated. I find grip in the wet average, they are noisy once more than half worn and they give a hard ride.The wear rate is also very high, the rears have lasted only 5000 miles of mostly average driving with the odd blast. I will see how I get on with the replacement Goodyear Assymetric 6 that I have just had fitted, but so far they seem a huge improvement.

I switched from Michelin Primacy 3ST to the Pilot Sport 4 in 2019. The Primacy was a terrible tire in comparison. The compound was harder, so there was a lot more road noise. It also discourages spirited driving, as the screeching sound comes in way to early. The PS4 was so much better in terms of ride & handling. Most of my driving is a combination of higway & city. When I do find the right road, driving tends to be spirited. I am semi retired now so the annual mileage tends to be a lot lower in comparison. However, I was disappointed to see that after clocking slightly more than 20,000 km, the front tires needs to be changed. Thread wear seems to be quite high. Apart from that, I have noticed that the noise levels have increased from Year 3 onward. Apart from those 2 issues, I am happy with the tire. I am looking for a new set of PS4s now & realized that the prices have increased by more than 30%. No one can give me an exact answer as to the reason for the increase, but I am guessing that the pandemic and supply chain issues have played a role.

After the tires are bedded in, they handle really well on the start and round the corners. Just about anything you throw at it and the prices for them aren't too bad for what you get. I have paid far more and had far worse tires the only thing about them is the road noise, I bought these for a mini so it's not really a comfortable car to begin with but for someone putting them on for a comfortable car it's probably be better buying something not as noisy but baring that I can't complain what so ever.

Used up to 65000km Pros - great dry/wet grip..short braking distance Cons - chipping on side...seems cannot withstands pressure after 40000km...

The only real downside to these tires is they wear very quickly, although that isn't surprising considering they are a soft compound. For this reason they probably wouldn't be suited to a round-town all the time car purely based on cost, but for anything that involves slightly spirited driving or good cornering, these are definitely a safe bet. I would have another set of these, although there are equally good tires out there for less.

Overall an excellent performance tire for warm / hot hatches, saloons, coupes, etc. Handling is very secure in all weathers, though naturally it prefers the warmer weather. Wear is pretty good for a sports tire.

Buy this tire, there will be no regrets in any segment.

Got the pair of PS4 around 2 years ago, replacing the worn F1A3 in the front axle, and now rotated to the back since last Nov. At new, the PS4 were not as responsive as the part-worn F1A3, often a little-bit too numb in the feel, and a bit too much understeer. After ~5,000 km (3,100 miles) the feeling has improved to what I expected at the purchase, being sharper and more direct in the feeling, understeering also improved. Much less aquaplanning in the wet comparing to the part-worn F1A3, which was the reason I chose Michelin over Goodyear. (Now the mid-life PS4 are rotated to the back with the front replaced with new PS5)
