Solid, dependable and Michelin are the best you can buy.

Given 87% while driving a Volkswagen Golf GTI Turbo mk4 (225/45 R17) on a combination of roads for 10,000 spirited miles
Early mk4 Golf GTI Turbo with no traction control, and you could launch it hard, wet or dry, with very little scrabble. Even situations like accelerating hard out of tight T-junctions where the car used to just light up the fronts on its previous P6000s, these Primacys just grip and go. Very little road noise, good life (mild feathering of shoulders only after 10,000 hard driven miles), and gave a level of steering feedback that I didn't think the car was capable of delivering.
Very good tires. Expensive, but worth it.

Given 64% while driving a Jaguar X Type 2.2d (225/45 R17) on a combination of roads for 13 easy going miles
Bought 2 Michelin Primacy HP at 14,517 miles for my 2009 X Type 2.2 saloon; replacing the original Pirellis. At the first MOT at 27,699 miles I got the following report: "Tire worn close to the legal limit" for both new tires. My driving style is not aggressive and consists of 50% town and 50% motorway so just over 13,000 miles from the Michelins was not what I had expected and is very disappointing.

Given 96% while driving a Audi A4 (205/55 R16 V) on mostly town for 5,000 average miles
I am using those tires on my Audi A4 8E. My driving experience is about 14 years. Primacy HP is the best tire I have ever had. It is stable, quite and comfortable. I do not feel road paintings any more!

Given 39% while driving a Honda Accord CTDi (205/55 R16 V) on a combination of roads for 10,000 spirited miles
Came with the car I bought second hand from a dealership, all four tires looked new.

Absolutely lethal in the snow, bad in the wet and only mediocre in the dry. Very noisy. Winter Nokian tires are better all round and more fuel efficient, even at 15c.

Winter tires now due to be swapped over. Changing for Hankook Evo v12 k110s, that seem to get excellent reviews with a more reasonable price tag.

Given 66% while driving a Volkswagen Passat 1.9 TDI Sport Estate (B5.5) (225/45 R17) on a combination of roads for 70,000 average miles
Great for summer use, especially on larger vehicles. Quiet and comfortable. However, totally gripless on snow and ice even when new - you are better off walking in severe winter conditions. Have got through a set of fronts about every 17,000 miles and rears perhaps 25,000. I don't drive particularly hard but do have to accelerate confidently to join a main road safely each weekday morning.

Given 89% while driving a Vauxhall vectra 1.9cdti sxi (215/55 R16) on mostly country roads for 17 average miles
A good all round dependable tire. Good in nearly all situations wether carrying a load and passengers,or on my own. Braking, cornering and wet performance more than adequate for nearly all needs. If you want a sports tire with ulta grip and short life span, look elsewhere.
My car is very long and I do drive quite fast when situations allow and the tires are well suited to the car.I do not think I could have chosen a better general all round tire. I live in a very rural area and the roads could be better.
!7,000 miles so far and about 35%-40% of life left on them on the front and the car has a heavy engine, being a diesel.
Will definately buy again, wear and all round performance very good.

Given 69% while driving a Peugeot 3008 exclusive (225/50 R17 V) on mostly country roads for 0 spirited miles
My Car
peugeot 3008 with these has great roadholding and confident swift driving but as car has NO driver appeal and tires are worn after 3100 klm I'm going to replace car instead of tires , and loningly waiting for Mazda CX5 to launch as my last two mazda 6's were brilliant.

Given 86% while driving a Audi A3 (205/55 R16 W) on mostly motorways for 100,000 average miles
Driven mostly motorway miles in all weathers.
True emergency stopping power which was seen on at least one occasion saved me from accident.
Never had a puncture in 3 sets of tires, each set lasting approx 35k (fronts) and 45k (rears) miles. FWD car and calm driver!
Highly recommend for longevity and safety performance.

Given 87% while driving a Ford Galaxy (225/45 R17) on a combination of roads for 27,300 average miles
These came fitted on the Galaxy bought from new in 2008. Just had the first MOT test at 27300 miles and it passed with flying colours even on these original tires. I did swap the front and rear around at about 18000 miles. I have an MoT test advisory for all 4 to be replaced and I am almost certainly going to go for these again. I have only done a little bit of driving in the snow so cannot really comment on this aspect of performance, but wet/dry/cold have been no concern for me.

Given 89% while driving a BMW 530d (235/55 R16) on a combination of roads for 12,000 average miles
Michelin Primacy HP fitted to 2002 E39 530D. Tires, although at top of price range, suit car admirably with excellent combination of grip, ride comfort and low noise with very good wear in true Michelin tradition! I have been a fan of Michelin for many years - their excellent wear properties compensate for initial high price outlay - providing you intend to keep the car! Highly recommended.
