Three A Farroad FRD 26

Tried these after recommendations from work colleagues. In the dry the felt a little vague in feedback... Noise levels ok.
However in the wet they were dangerous. Let go easily at low speed cornering.... Like roundabouts. No confidence in higher speed cornering. Felt like they were struggling for grip.....Understeer... To the point I wouldn't let the family drive my car.
I was spoilt with my original tires being Michelins but they had better road manners and grip in the wet even when they were at the end of their life with almost being bald ! No good for my car.... Maybe I was too light....
Went back to supplier who swapped them out.... Cant recommend them.....

One of the worst wet grip tires on the market. If you have a rear wheel drive car avoid at all costs.

Best BUDGET TEMPORARY tire in my opinion. Good to use as temporary tires or for drifting. But not very good for long term use. Grip was good in dry and decent in wet while new, but the performance drop off once worn is very drastic. They are down to their minimum markers after less than 2 years of driving. About 20,000km total. Once worn, they easily aquaplane while in the wet, and understeers like crazy when pushing to the limit. I don't care much about noise or comfort, but they are decent enough to not bother me. Buy to get you from A to B, and don't push them, tbh the performance is slightly worse than a regular touring tire.

Ok in dry conditions. Absolutely horrible cornering on wet surfaces. Nice for drifting: predictive, the grip is ok, good wear (in drift). Comfort is ok, wears out quite quick.

These came already fitted to second hand car so can't comment too much on longevity. Fine in the dry but downright dangerous in wet / cold and break loose very easily. Car is tracking fine and tires around 70% tread left so should be still okay. I couldn't recommend these purely on safety I have had budget tires before (Tourador, i-Link) and never felt unsafe driving on them. I think I will be replacing them before they wear out.

Bought a car that had these fitted just before purchase. They really are awful. Shame to do it but they are going to have to be replaced, wet grip is non existent, dry grip is patchy. My car is a diesel with a lowly 150bhp, and in the damp the traction control often kicks in leaving roundabouts.

used this on my Mitsu ASX with adjustable suspension and uprated ARB. Tire have about 50% tread left. This tire shine provided you gave it abit more air pressure ie 1-2psi cold.
dry grip is excellent, raining can have confidence to drive around 100kmh ( I can speed more if I want but prefer to be safe) Will definitely buy again.

Bought this 4 pcs tires on Nov 2023 - Drove less than 5k km. 1 of the tire swollen. Lucky able to claim under warranty.
Found the road vibration is rough, center console is vibrating slightly. 3 times done tires balancing but doesn't help.

Inflate the tires to 28 bar pressure to lessen the roughness and vibration.
Car is push and pull to left and right when roll over the patch road ( need to hold the steering wheel tightly )

Driving the the highway on hot day with temperature at 36celcius, able to feel the tire road noise much obvious. Suddenly when the sky open up , the tires less vibration and noisy.

For budget tire this is the best. Quiet and gripping in both wet n dry are good. But wear is little too fast especially after 50% in use. Both sidewall will worn faster. And mechanic said a bit pumping when get into balancing machine make it hard to get perfect balance when after 50% using. Otherwise all good.

Absolutely awful tires, even in 70hp Corsa manage to spin the wheels when pulling away in the wet, and lost the front end driving at a safe speed in the wet around a round about, bearable handing in the dry but awful in the wet. Replaced with Falken ziex eco-run's, still mid range but worlds better.

Put on my car all 4 corners at the same time.After 1000 miles tires become dangerous on wet,loose traction quite fast,steering not anymore good like should be.For dry time,yes.But when rain comes,are fine but not enough safety.

Campare with Continental MC6 70%~80% Same

Tires I replaced were Yokohama Cdrives...These were awful in every area. Fitted the Farroad FRD26s as they had good reviews on here. They have not disappointed. Absolutely best bang for your buck tire on the market. Good handling wet or dry, excellent turn in and good road feedback. This said, my car is set up extremely well for fast road and has additional chassis bracing. I would definitely buy these again given the price. Wear rate is good, noise is low and straight line stability excellent. With a tire like this being available on the market then I'm not too sure why you would buy something 3 or 4 times the price. Unless of course you're one of those that needs the high end branded name on your car. $75 EA from Tyroola plus shipping.

These tires perform great during spring-summer-fall weather. I daily drive on these tires through all New York terrain. Not great in snow. Quiet on all speeds. They withstood all potholes and bumps. No sidewall bubbles, cupping, or unusual wear and tear. They amaze me during my backroad carvings. Gripped phenomenally. I still have 6/32 of depth.

Normally wouldn't have bought these, but money was tight and my last set of tires were balder than Jeff Bezos. Read some reviews from other users and decided to bite the bullet and give them a shot. First off the price is essentially unmatched for the tire size that I needed. While I would have gone with a more established "budget" tire brand like the Nankang NS-II or Sailun, my size was unavailable due to shortages. Ultimately, I came across the Farroad FRD26 in stock and in the size that I needed. 4 tires at 235/40/r18 came out to $420 CAD. That's almost the price of a single Michelin Pilot Super Sport. As good as the Super Sports are, I had my doubts that they are roughly 4 times better as these tires. After having used these tires for about 2000 miles, I can say these are pretty fantastic tires given their price. I would recommend anyone who looks at these tires to manage their expectations as they will not outperform the top tires like the Super Sports etc., but rather they will perform up to 80-90% of their abilities at a quarter/third of the price. For my car (Nissan 350z), dry grip is excellent, the tires can handle the 300hp and rarely if ever, spin or lose traction on launch. Handling is fine, potentially one of the weaker points of the tire, but at this point I am uncertain whether that has to do with the tire sidewall or my current suspension setup as I'm still dialing it in. I will report back at a later interval to confirm. I had read previous reviews stating it had excellent wet grip and I held off on this review until I had the chance to put that to the test. I can confirm these reviews to be true now. Wet grip is rather amazing when considering tire price and place of origin. Without driving like an idiot, the tires can maintain good wet grip under moderate acceleration and turning but I wouldn't push these too far. When compared to my last set, it was like driving on ice, so this was a very pleasant surprise. I even attempted to put the car sideways in an empty wet parking lot and the tires really fought the slide. In terms of wear, these are very soft tires (tire tread rating is 320) so once again manage your expectations. Personally, I will feel blessed if they manage to get to 10000 miles, but I'm skeptical. For the purpose that I bought them, they were supposed to last me a season with decent performance on a budget and they have far and away exceeded that goal. To expect any kind of longevity out of them is to expect too much. Comfort is surprisingly good as well, but I think that has to do with the softness of the tire. Very little road noise is generated by the tires. Overall, I would buy these tires again if I found myself in the same situation. While there are definitely better tires out there, if cost is an issue, these are top contenders. Being completely honest, the next set of tires I'll buy will be an established "quality" budget tire such as the Firestone Firehawk Indy 500, which commands a premium over these tires but offer increased longevity, as the long-term feasibility of the FRD 26 is questionable at best having to potentially buy a new set of tires every season. The FRD 26 excels in a pinch offering an inexpensive tire option for those who just need a short-term throwaway ultra-performance tire without racking up the credit card debt.
