Bought a new set to replace worn out PZeros on my wife´s 230hp 4WD BMW X1 25i Sport (gas, not diesel), currently with 48K/km. The car has L-IIIA armoring, thus 330lbs. of ballistic protection which puts some extra load on suspension, brakes and of course tires. Incidentaly, the PS4s are XL rated which gives a nice yet slightly firmer ride, perfect for the BMW considering the extra load. Car feels perfect, very pleasant to drive. Also changed original size 225/45R19 for 235/45R19 which increased ~5% sidewall profile, slightly above the 3% recomended by OEM. This made it much more comfortable and probably less prone to damage from potholes, in case we hit one which may happen a few times during its life really. But didn´t interfere with hodometer readings, handling, fuel consumption nor mechanics (shifting gear, the Haldex, etc.), so it´s OK. Looks great too, slightly wider than originals and still low profile enough to keep that sporty look with the 19" wheels. Original rubber was RFTs, too hard and terrible on our badly maintained tarmac. The profile was too low, nice for looks (though not exactly a sport car...) but awful for comfort, safety and performance. Almost ruined the rims. It´s weird because the X1 came with spare emergency wheel, I honestly can´t stand RFT tires and can´t see why BMW specs them here. It´s just not a good match for our terrible streets. Roads are better but still they´re too noisy and fragile. Michelins are great, but depends on model and size. PS4 is a high-end, high-performance tire no matter how we look at it. Maybe not the same feedback as some other sport tires, but in this case it´s a family car - I´m not taking it to the track nor doing crazy stunts with it so doesn´t matter. It certainly offers more performance than I´d ever need, and probably most normal driving people too. Absolutely much more than my wife will demand lol. I was looking for Hankooks but hard to find here in that size I wanted. These PS4s were in promotion and came for almost the same price or lower brands, certianly much cheaper than Contis and even Yokohamas here. Not all sizes, brands and models of tires are currently easy to find so I grabbed them. So far only a few thousand miles of city/road mixed driving, not spirited (wife´s a careful driver and the armoring takes the edge of it), but I´m more heavy footed and I like to accelerate it a little bit whenever possible. Perfect balancing, no funny behavior anywhere, just predictable, smooth handling and overall driving in all conditions (we don´t have snow here). Performance is impressive in both dry and wet. Can´t fault these tires for sheer high-level performance and safety. Can´t comment on wear, I expect them to last a good 20-30% less than normal due to the extra load but plan to sell the car before they wear out anyway so there´s that. But it just grips in wet, even under heavy storm. No acquaplaning, but that would be hard anyway because of the XDrive and also the extra load. They´re not super silent, though a sensible improvement on the worn out, hardened and beat-up PZeros they replaced. I´ve had better with Yokohamas and Contis and even SK and TW made tires, like Hankooks, Kumhos (also good tires). But it´s not a deal breaker, I still prefer the performance and safety over comfort but with all the insulation you still can hear the "rrrrrrrr" especially in bad asphalt. It has some sidewall protection, not too aggressive as with somer other sport tires but enough to give some peace of mind. Our sidewalk curbs are horrible and irregular and if you´re not careful, it can destroy rims and tires while parking. And 19" tires and rims can be expensive, so I´m always asking her to be careful lol. I´d say this also improve the looks and match the "familiar" style of the X1. Overall I´m very satisfied with the PS4, I´ve had Michelin on other cars (and bicycles and motorcyles too) including some sport ones and have always been impressed with their performance. Can´t really go wrong with top tires from top manufacturers really, and now there´s a lot of good offerings from other asian producers as well, with great designs, excellent rubber and matching performance. Sure, their price has also increased but still slightly cheaper than Michelins, Contis and similars. Anyways it´s great to have more options.

Best tires for summer that i had so far. Dry handling is amazing, wet grip and handling is impressive, almost no aquaplaning even if going high speeds (140-160kmh). Only cons are wear and comfort. Overall, impressive tires, for more sportier riding this is the best choice. Buy again for sure

Loved these tires. Transformed the car, way more agile than any 4 AWD saloon car has any right to be. Great turn in and lateral grip, made the car so much more fun to drive. The tires were absolutely abused and had 0 issues. I even got caught out in snow twice, before fitting winters, and they handles it better than I expected them to, but wouldn't make a habbit of using them all year round in Scotland. Would have bought them again if I'd been keeping the car, as I was super impressed with their perfomrance and longevity, even for a Michelin.

I fitted these to the front of my Volvo V60, they have been excellent. The dry and wet grip, braking and handling is the best I have experienced. The road noise is ok and so is comfort (given the low profile side wall). The size I bought only came with 7.2mm tread when new, after 6000 miles they are down to approx 5.4mm - although I do run my tires at or just above eco setting which results in the central tread wearing slightly faster. So 1.8mm for 6k miles in a car with 300ft/lb torque, with these being a high performance tire I am very happy with this. Will definitely buy again.

I’ve switched to PS4 from the stock Michelin Pilot Supersports and it’s a huge improvement. The dry grip is limitless, wet grip is as good as it can be. Moreover, it made the Fiesta a much better car overall - ride is now way smoother, I’m not anymore afraid of driving on cobblestone and over bumps. On the negative side perhaps it’s a little less darty now, the sidewall is softer so it lost a little subjective responsiveness, but in the case of Fiesta it’s not necessarily a bad thing: the car feels much more grown up now, however still playful. In terms of wear, after 5.5k km of mixed driving (50% motorway / 50% spirited b-roads) the front tires lost around 1.4mm from the initial 6.7mm. Considering you should change tires at around 3mm, a simple extrapolation tells me they should last around 15k km of spirited driving, maybe 20k if rotated front to back. Overall acceptable wear for me. Factor in the additional safety and I say it’s money well spent. Highly recommend for a smaller sporty cars like Fiesta, Mini, MX-5. However, for a heavier car like a Golf GTI I’d look for something more aggressive like PS4S or Eagle F1 Supersport for additional responsiveness.

Hi all, The car came with Dunlop SP sport 2050 on the front, and Kingstar [?] on the rear. Who would do that? a death wish comming on.Fitted Michelin PS4's and took off on half a lap of Aust. towing a caravan. Well ,14000 Ks later all I can say fantastic, the car was in total control all the way . The rear end never stepped out off line 80--100 Ks per hour out in the sticks , thru the hills from Perth to Esperance. Even without the van it just goes around corners no fuss, noise, nothing. I haven't got the balls to push these tires to the limit. Pulling up the car and van no problem . Comfort was good until we got back to Adelaide roads,roads ? No tire is comfortable on these repaired,pot holed goat tracks. We had a little rain down Albany, no drama.

Coming from budgets on each corner to 4 PS4s was an incredible change, from comfortability to outright grip. Having a dragy I also did 0-60mph & 60-124mph on my tuned Polo GTI 6C before was a 6.2 with quite a bit of spin and a 60-124 of 13.2 seconds, after was a 5.7 w/ PS4s 0-60 and a 12.7 60-124 so definitely an improvement. I can’t fully specify the wear amount as I’ve only had them on for a short amount of time.

Generally a well balanced tires which is very progressive in dry warm weather, but is less so when wet with rear wheel drive. At low temperatures can be quite unpredictable even at lower speeds. They are wearing extremely well and still don't need changing so well worth the cost overall

My comments are for the ZR (XL) version, used on my 2018 e-golf. These are the first set of replacement tires I've bought and a huge step up from the energy saver original tires. The benefits have been huge, and the icing on the cake is the efficiency has not dropped on the "C' rated PS4. The lateral G on roundabouts feels very high and compatible to track day tires on previous cars. Its still possible to break traction on damp roads with electric car power delivery, but in general the tire limits are above what I'm going to get upto on the public road. can't comment on wear yet, but noise & comfort are what i expect from Michelin.

I write this review with mixed feelings, maybe all the prizes got me a little too hypped. Fact is, I've driven this tires for 10 thousand KM including some good 50 track day laps and now it's time to say goodbye (they are gone despite my belief that they shouId've lasted longer). I've never felt so confident whenever breaking or also when driving on wet roads, you just knew whatever was going on the road, but this amount of feedback would naturally lead to a caveat... feeling each and every pothole (and, believe me, there are plenty of them in Sao Paulo) makes cruising around boring and painful. The most disappointing thing about it was the grip. Don't get me wrong, It had plenty but, I expected much more from them and up until now I still can't believe in the amount of wheeI spin that a 115 hp car could get on these tires without that much effort. Good tires, but now I'm testing something else.
