Great tire!

I bought 4 Nexen SU1 for my Mondeo Titanium X ( 2014 Reg ) after having Goodyear Efficient Grip on all 4 and then Pirelli P7 on fronts. To be honest the handling, comfort and road noise on the Nexens is as good or even better BUT, and it's a BIG BIG but for me, I was getting in excess of 50 MPG before the Nexens but am struggling to get 40 MPG on the Nexens. I have had a full geometry test on the car due to excessive wear on the Pirelli P7. Although the Nexens cost £76 opposed to £98-£110 for Goodyear/Pirelli, the MPG will ensure i don't buy Nexens in the future.

Surprisingly these tires are very good. I was doubting them before i bought them, but after the sales man convinced me, i went for them. Plus they are a great deal cheaper than the Pirrellis that i had on my car. I have only had these tires for a day, but i am impressed already. immediately after the tires were fitted on i took the car out for a drive (dry road conditions) and performance of these tires is really good. Honestly there is no difference between these tires and the Pirelli, although i feel like the Nfera SU1 handles better in wet. Later at night it rained very hard, so i took the car out again to test the tires and i could comfortably do 180km/h - 190km/h in heavy heavy rain. Quite impressive !!

After much research, and after reading many reviews, I decided to give these tires a chance. I must admit that, for the price, I am more than happy with them. They have good grip in dry conditions and I have driven on wet roads and they have performed well. I don't push the car too hard so I couldn't comment on how well they would perform under more strenuous driving.
I had Pirelli tires on previously and I haven't noticed a great deal of difference. Road noise is a little more noticeable but not so much as to make driving uncomfortable. Good tread pattern and positive handling. I cannot comment on wear as they have only been on the car for around 400 miles.
To be honest I would say that for a mid range tire, within a certain price range, they are very good.

6000 km and half of the profile is missing. ( most km is made at low speed...to work and back )
Weak in curves because, it has too soft sides. Not for sport driving in sharp bends...

it is fairly quiet and comfortable, but I will definitely change them for something better.

I carried out a lot of research for 225/40R18xl and 255/40R18xl for my Lexus F Sport. The previous tires were Continentals and I could not get on with them as well as they were at 3.5mm. Someone suggested I look outside of the box re brands and hence NEXEN. The cost for a mid range was well received at £375 including tracking. The previous reviews were pretty good and in essence they were accurate. I have only covered 1000 miles so this is very much an initial review only. Wet weather journey over 250 miles in heavy rain was an eye opener as the road holding, feeback and braking were very very good! Dry weather braking and road holding were also very good the following day and 250 miles return journey. I cannot speak for the wear as yet given the mileage covered so far. If the last 1K has been an indicative example then it bodes well. The NEXEN warranty and service support is also excellent should I have to avail myself :-), have a look at their www site for details. More to follow in 9k.

Good tire in handling and grip, but bad quality sidewall, I had them for 10k miles and it has lots of deformation and holes in the sidewall, has to change them really quick

I have them for 20.000 km on a family car and the wear is much worse that it should be for in city routes, thats the major disadvantage.

The grip was good the first 10.000 km but after that it goes bad.

I have 20" wheels with low profile tires on an Audi A6 S-Line, and the Pirelli's PZero that the car came with offered good road feedback but were getting increasingly hard, uncomfortable and noisy as they started to get older. So when they finally went, I wanted to replace them with something more quiet and comfortable, but also good in the wet and with a decent handling level. The NFera SU1 is exactly the type of tire i was looking for.

Positives: very comfortable, extremely quiet for a 255/35/R20 tire (Nexen says 68dB), good wet grip, great price
Negatives: not so good road feedback and dry braking (compared to the PZero), handling is average

The wear level is nothing special, it wears a bit faster than the PZero, because the SU1 is a softer tire, but not by much. I have done about 12k miles and they seem to be about half their original thread height.

These are comfortable, quiet and grippy tires which inspire confidence in both wet and dry conditions, but even with a relatively easy going driving style like mine (I try and eke as many miles out of a tank of fuel as possible), these tires are just too soft for a heavy car like the Merc CLS and wore out way too quickly for me to ever consider buying them again. I bought them in April last year and they're already almost totally bereft of tread after only 10 months and 11,000 miles. With a deeper tread depth from new, the Nexen N8000's I had on before them seem to be slightly harder wearing and just as comfortable and grippy, but I think I'll give the (allegedly) longer lasting Barum Bravuris 3HM's next time as I just can't be done with the time, trouble and cost of having to replace my tires every year.

Have been using these on my A1 Sport Plus. 189hp in a light front wheel drive would generally be considered a recipe for serious wheelspin and understeer, but these tires transformed the car into an incredibly grippy hot hatch. Combined with lowered suspension, the car is totally transformed and I definitely would recommend them to anyone particularly with a high powered front wheel drive. Nitrogen filled, so fuel economy has seen slight improvements and tires are reasonably comfortable with little to no increase in road noise. In the wet, they can be prone to aquaplaning early on, this would be my only complaint.
