Writing about the
Pirelli P6000 given
56% (195-65-15-V)
Driving on
a combination of roads for 6000
spirited miles
I bought these to compliment the rear 195 65 15 flavour p6000s the car came with. Unfortunately, a worn out lower arm meant that the inside edge of the offside front ate itself after 3000 miles, so the worn rears went on the front and the good pirelli found its way onto the back with some 'Komet' ditch seeker on the other side.
I cannot therefore give an accurate picture of the whle life of a p6000, but I estimate that they will cover 12000-15000 on the front if driven sensibly.
When the fronts were new, the car resisted understeer up to a point then broke into understeer gently. The back snapped into unwanted sudden oversteer in the wet(think scandinavian flick) because the tires were old and hard.
These are not performance tires, they are good at covering high mileage quietly at a legal pace, they are a safe, all rounders choice.
I will soon be binning all of these tires in favour of some 205 60 15s, but due to my driving style, they won't be p6000s
