Crap tire. Shocking in the wet. Even in the dry they spin. What a waste of money. Michelin destroyed them. No comparison at all. I hate to think if I was in a hurry and it’s raining.

This was my tire of choice after seeing some reviews on snow. I must say it delivered in snow as promised on a hill and slopes it really was good to drive with predictable control. I had to stop on slope and I managed to resume with not too much slip on a RWD off course DSC was OFF and gentle throttle control once it moves you can have some fun on snow. In a dry comfortable tire for long journeys a bit noisy over 160 km/h, also very stable at 210 km/h in dry. In wet it’s stable and very good under breaking. On twisty roads I was surprised how good it was for a winter tire, ton of grip and very stable on long fast medium corners and fast twisty roads.

On my second set of Michelin pilot sport 4s. Be careful on the potholes as these tires are prone to becoming warped over time. This however happened mainly on a very badly maintained motorway between Germany and Poland. Very happy with wear rate vs grip. An overall good compromise between sport and comfort at a reasonable price in my opinion.

Went from Conti Sport's on the rear of my E60 530i and it transformed the acceleration from a standing start, previously the traction control was cutting all of the time with the Conti's, now the DSC light never lights up, so i get all of the power down, seems to the same in the wet, great tires, one of the best i have tried, and i have tried a lot..

Writing about the Pirelli P Zero Runflat given 81% (255-35-18-)

I replaced these tires with Goodyear Eagle F1 Asy2 - 255/35/18 on the rear and 225/4/18 front. BMW 330d MSport
Hindsight is a great thing - people slag off runflats as harsh, uncomfortable, noisy, tramlining etc but it's noticeable how inferior the Goodyears are to this tire.
I got 30k miles out of the Pirellis, great feedback, instant and rock steady turn in. The Goodyears are washy and imprecise in comparison. Yes the ride is more supple but I don't get anywhere near the precise feel of this Pirelli. I chose the Eagles because everyone raves about them and says BMWs are great odd runflats - maybe that's Bridgestones they complain about because the Pirelli runflats are a much better tire.
Anyone want to buy some nearly new Goodyears?

I have had these tires on my car, a BMW 330, for a while now and feel I am now in a position to offer a review focusing on the positive aspects of these tires. These tires offer a very low amount of grip in wet conditions, they encourage the driver to be aware of the road ahead, looking out for water, damp corners, inspection covers and leaves. Normally you would take for granted that a tire would cope with these kind of road conditions resulting in the driver paying less attention to the road, failure to pay attention will result in a crash. The feed back and ride also make you more aware of what your car is doing and will make you very familiar with your suspension components and the local garage airline. This is due to the very firm ride, huge amounts of road noise and the extreme tram-lining experienced while running these tires. You will be examining your car looking for faults on the suspension, you will know where all your bushes are and how the tierods look and feel, after all, tires can't cause all that noise can they?

Wet cornering will introduce you to unpredictable understeer and oversteer, maybe even both at the same time if that is possible. Wheel balancing also proved to be a challenge, the amount of lead the tire fitters had to use will keep the lead mines in business for a little while longer. So there we go, a positive review of the Event WL905 tire fitted to a BMW. If your name is Ari, Juha, or Colin and you live on or near a rally stage (in a car with FIA cage, buckets seats and harnesses) these are the tires for you. If you are a normal person driving around the roads of the UK and like a challenge and have the reactions of a Formula 1 driver, these may be right up your street.
