Peugeot 306 Tire Review Highlights

Writing about the Kumho WinterCraft WP71 given 68% (195-45-16-)
Driving on a combination of roads for 1000 spirited miles
Surprisingly good in the snow we had recently, they dealt with it flawlessly compared to GoodYears on my Saab which were terrible in comparison. They are fairly good in the wet as well, but their weakness is definitely dry roads. Handling feels vague compared to my previous tires on cornering. Quite noisy but these tires weren't designed for extreme comfort, they were designed for a job which they do satisfactorily. I'd buy them again if I needed a cheaper set of winter tires for occasional or seasonal use. Wouldn't keep them fitted all the time. Can't yet comment on wear.

On my third set of Imps on three different cars. First set were changed from Michelin Crossclimates (225/45 17s) and hardly any difference between them - no way enough to justify Michelin's silly prices. Grippy and last really well.

Definitely a really good surprise on dry roads, I've tried to find the limit on corners going very hard, and I've struggled to find it. On wet roads, you have to be more careful, maybe the aquaplaning limit is slightly low, and when braking downhill, depending on the pavement, sometimes my car (no ABS) locks very easily. Going to change to an all-season premium brand soon for peace of mind and snow capabilities just in case. Given its pricepoint and performance, there is no need to ride with more expensive overworn tires, as these tires are not dangerous, at all. TL;DR more than good enough tires to transport you safely. Just a little bit careful on wet, wou won't find the limit on a regular daily driver

Amazing handling on wet as well as on dry tarmac, quiet and responsive. The only drawback was rather quick wear, as you would expect from very grippy tires.

I bought these as a budget option from my garage. They ended up charging me Michelin money for them, but that's beside the point. They're an overall good tire. The grip in the dry and wet is good. As well is the grip on snow. The handling inspires confidence. Road noise isn't too bad in my opinion. You hear them, but not annoyingly. I can't say much about wear yet, since I have had them for just 5k km.

Great tires in the dry, and better than budgets in the wet. These lasted about 20,000 miles so not bad on the front of a peugeot 306 either. Much better than the Rikens I had before, and we shall see how they were compared to the Yokohama Paradas I have replaced them with!
