Have these fitted to a Peugeot 5008 Mk2. Got them at SGD105 a corner which is very price competitive with Chinese tires. They remind me very much of the first gen Goodyear EfficientGrip Performance in noise level (average) and grip. The two biggest negatives of these tires are the lack of steering feel due to a large dead zone and the comfort over bumps and expansion joints - they "ring" and you can feel the tire resonating. But for SGD105, you can't really complain. Would choose these again over Chinese-designed tires any day.

This is an excellent tire as used in icy conditions and also as a general all season tire as designed. However, in sustained periods of high temperatures in UK summer (our heat waves seem to be getting more frequent), the rubber must be literally melting as the tread wear appears terrible. I am down to 30% life left on fronts and 50% on rears after 11k miles/12 months. Tires are on a family SUV 7 seater and the tires have not been subjected to spirited miles to any degree. The tires are also XL. Previously had ContiCrossContact LX 2's which lasted in the region of 20k miles. Assuming that hot summers don't do the all season's any good? Switching to summer tires!

Very good handling on dry and wet roads, with real capabilties on light snow (but encountered some trouble climbing a hill with more than 5 cm of fresh snow). Good resistance: 40.000 km and still ok

I use these tires from end October to end April excellent usage on snow,very good in wet, and good in dry below 7c wear is good, comfort is good. I have covered 8k miles on them will buy again

excellent grip from these kumho tires they replaced factory fitted Michelin. they have been on my car 8 months 10k miles and have performed well in dry, wet, and all but heavy snow in both grip on cornering, and braking, will buy again highly recommended for this sector of tire.

I got these tires fittet as standard on my newly purchased Peugeot 5008 GT-Line SUV equipped with Grip Control, because of which these tires come as standard on 18" wheels.
I have driven on these tires for about 2000 miles, before the winter season arrived.
For the initial review I can say the following:

Dry Grip: Extremely good, especially on damaged tarmac, gravel and off road. These tires are designed to give a good grip on different surfaces and the achieve this extremely well.

Wet Grip: Wet grip is satisfactory, but obviously not the best in class of premium touring summer tires, because of specific threar patter designed to provide better grip on gravel/mud/rocky terrain, these tires do suffer from some loss on wet roads. And drivers should be aware of this when driving in heavy rain. But generally in 99% of the time you don't even notice this.

Road feedback/Handling: The provide actually very good road feedback, tires are sturdy and they seem to not deform too much on curvy roads, so the car stays in balance and where you want it to go.

Wear: It is too early to say after 2000 miles, but there was no noticeable wear&tear on tires after this distance driven.

Comfort: Low profile and 18" wheels do decrease the comfort somewhat, but this is to expect so no complains there. I suppose cars with more advanced suspenssion systems (adaptive and air suspension) can compensate even lower porfile tires today.

Final conclusion: I still have many mile to drive on these tires, but so far they seem like a perfect fit for a Crossover/SUV type of a vehicle. They provide excellent grip on many different types of terrain, while still keeping decent comfort and noise levels on Motorway spees and tarmac. So far I can say I would definitely buy them again for this vehicle type.

Driving on a combination of roads for 6000 easy going miles
Done 6000 miles on the front set so far and was very happy with them so also replaced the rears with same and these have done 3000 miles. Manufacturers' figures don't always reflect reality but these tires are much much quieter than the Bridgestone /Pirelli /Michelins that were on the car before. Tire noise at 60mph on a good road (even with windows slightly open) is now inaudible and exceeded by any residual wind noise. I have an easy going driving style and do not drive-to-the-limit, but these do feel refined and precise in handling. Wet grip in ordinary rain is fine up to motorway speeds. Have not pushed them to the limit in torrential rain or through puddles but any sensible driver would slow down for those! Fronts have worn about 1-2mm over 6k miles so extrapolating to a residual 2mm would give an estimated 18-20,000 mile life. Good for a FWD car. Rears may do even better. Overall impression -- comfort and refinement with adequately precise handling for any sensible driver who especially values their peace and quiet.

Fitted not for long yet as I bought the car used, low mileage with those tires already fitted. but if wear looks OK the grip on wet is not great. On round about if cornering is slightly too fast the car is under-steering. I had much better grip on wet with Michelin, Dunlop or Uniroyal on my previous car so I will most likely not buy Hifly again and go back to Uniroyal... I live in Manchester so we got a rather wet weather!!

Writing about the Goodyear UltraGrip Performance Gen 1 given 87% (215-55-16-V)
Driving on a combination of roads for 200 average miles
I chose these tires for Winter, based on other reviews and also because i really like the way Goodyear tires feel and handle on the road (my summer tires are Goodyear EfficientGrip). There is less feel than a summer tire, but that is to be expected with the big tread blocks, but it is really not a big issue. My bulky, 2-wheel drive Peugeot starts to handle less predictably in wet, cold conditions, particularly in snow, so i routinely fit winter tires. These Ultraprips are superb and like all quality winter tires are terrific when the temperature drops and it gets wet. Snow and slush on the road last night was simply no issue. Pulling out of snowy side roads was undramatic - no wheel spin if you're gentle. These tires simply glide through any form of snow build-up on the road and they are particularly predictable if they break-away on the limit, because they quickly regain grip. Also seem relatively good on ice - hit a patch and had to brake gently, and although they initially slide, ABS kicks in and the car quickly stops - seems to track in a straight line as well, so these tires are predictable and consistent - highly recommended.
