SEAT Leon 5f mk3 2014 Tire Review Highlights

Writing about the Debica Presto UHP2 given 93% (225-40-18-)
Driving on mostly country roads for 28580 average miles
Bought them in april 2022 and i used them during spring, summer and autumn then i switched to winter tires each year so far.
The grip is amazing both on dry and wet roads, the braking distance is very little, the accuracy and feedback is very good, they are silent and comfortable.
There is a BUT, all that i said above was valid during the first 2 seasons of usage, after that, the grip became way worse and the tires are now slippery as fuck, especially on wet roads.
They are fantastic tires for the price but i strongly suggest to use them just during the first 2-2,5 years.
By the way, now they have 46.000km and the tire tread has 4mm left.

Driving on a combination of roads for 1000 average miles
Car came with these fitted on the rear with Michelin Primacy on the front. Dry grip seems ok but they are absolutely hopeless in the wet and even worse when the temperature drops.
Turning in to a bend outside my home town that I have taken a thousand times before, they completely failed to have any lateral grip and the car flashed its traction control light and threw its back end round. Wet weather, - yes but not standing water, temperature - probably around 9-10 degrees, "enthusiastically" chucked into the corner - NO. Feel the lack of grip in roundabouts to the point where it feels like I could quite easily flick the backend of a front drive car out with only mild encouragement.
Car is new to me and is more stiffly sprung that previous car (Mondeo) but the tires seem comfortable enough. Given the level of grip, I suspect that these tires will last forever... but not on this vehicle. My other half has H12's (205x55x16) on her golf and they are 100 times better than the U11's.
The U11's however will not be kept long enough for any mid life or end of life report. A pair of Bridgestones are on order and I expect this to make the car much safer to drive.

Driving on mostly country roads for 30000 average miles
Seat Leon 5f (mk3 2014).changed very noisy Dayton d320 with these Primacy 4 on 205/55/16.
Thoughts after 3.000km on various roads in Greece with more country driving.
-very quite and very very soft,in town is going over bumps like a charm.
-I’ve seen at the end of the bead small cuts from stones or bad road condition.didnt expect
-dry grip is good but wet grip is not as good as expected,it loses grip on BAD asphalt wet roads easily,but on new asphalt is really ok.
-worst,is that my steering now is a bit sluggish and off feeling with these versus the cheap precious Dayton wich has a softer sidewall.i consider better fuel economy with the Primacy but the steering was more aggressive and accurate with the previous..

Overhaul, 8/10 from me.
