Subaru Subaru forester 2.0 Tire Review Highlights

Driving on a combination of roads for 45000 average miles
These came fitted on a used 2005 Subaru Forester 2.0X I purchased a couple of years ago, they were just over a year old when fitted and were still relatively fresh (approx 6K Miles on them). I've not particulary noticed any issues with dry or wet grip, though this is probably more down to my average driving style and the Forester's AWD system. I've taken them on gravel tracks and a couple of pretty muddy forestry tracks and found their performance to be satisfactory. I've also driven them across Europe and Turkey as part of a 3 month road trip and had no issue with them. They are characteristically mundane, if you have have the turbo version of the Forester, I would look at other tires.

I forgot to rotate my wheels since I've owned the car, but after 2 years and about 40,000 Miles into my ownership, the fronts were worn down to 3mm (rears still had decent tread), which given the mileage and the cross continent road trip I'd been on was quite impressive!

While I still have some life left on the tires, I'll probably replace them with the All Season Hankook Kinergy 4S² H750 205/70 R15, which are currently £20 cheaper per corner and from what I can tell, perform better in overall UK conditions (including the rare possiblity of snow....).

Driving on track for 1 spirited miles
Awesome tires. I studies the various tires for my Subaru Forester eBoxer (2024), because of where I live, I need good AT performance, yet also good road performance and as winters get cold here in rural/inland Spain, also good winter and snow performance. And after thr Dana the Valencia area experienced, the track I have to drive daily (or twice a day) had become even more challenging. But these tires seem to have it all and perform outstanding. I also looked at the energy labelling of these tires. There are very few AT tires that have a C rating. On the tarmac, these tires are virtually as quiet as the original Bridgestone Dueller HP Sport, that the car came with. So I am super pleased!

Driving on mostly motorways for 10000 easy going miles
On roads in Singapore, Nothing to complain about the tires, except for road noise.
On Malaysian roads, under heavy thunderstorms the tires are really good over wet roads.

Overall, the steering is very precise and comfort is good.

Driving on mostly country roads for 20000 average miles
Just been through the so called ‘beast from the east’ in Devon with our Subaru Forester driving through 6” of fresh powder snow/slush/ice and through 2 to 3 foot snow drifts, country lanes, up hill down dale. Preformed brilliantly with tread thats a couple millimetres from the bar. Never felt them struggling even with hill starts.
As you would expect with a winter bias all season tire they do not perform as well as summer tires in the on dry roads, but are perfectly adequate as long as you expect the forthcoming understeer. Superb in wet weather and inspires confidence with no noticeable aquaplaning.
Getting rather noisy now as they are at end of life and need to be replaced within the next couple of months. No noticeable road noise whilst had decent depth.
Excellent tire, will be buying again, in combination with our Scooby they felt unstoppable in snow!
