Suzuki GSXR 1000 K5 Tire Review Highlights

Writing about the Bridgestone Battlax Racing R10 given 97% (225-45-17-)
Driving on track for 20 average miles
Awesome tires.
Fitted for the last session of a trackday at Rockingham, replacing Pirelli Diabli Rosso Corsas. I built up speed slowly but don't think I needed to. By the end of the session I was the fastest I'd been all day. I don't think I was anywhere near their limit - I need to learn to hang off the bike a lot more for these tires. Have been playing with the rearsets to try and help me get off the side. Looking at the wear I was right on the edge of the rear and they were absolutely planted. Felt like they had hooks on them.

They just felt good immediately. I think you'd need to be pretty good to want more in the dry.

Conditions were warm and dry. Think I was running 30F/28R and I think they are medium compound both ends.

Driving on mostly country roads for 1500 spirited miles
I think i will get 1700miles great tires, shame rear will still have 3/400 left on it but front shot, still loads better than BSB's only got 1000 and front was gone at 800 very poor when cold, great if smooth road and hot

Writing about the Michelin Pilot Power 2CT given 69% (180-55-17-W)
Driving on a combination of roads for 12 spirited miles
I've used the Pilot Power 2CT's on the road and on the track.
Moving from the BT014's to these transformed the handling of my 600 by giving me so much more confidence in the front end. Fast direction changes were handled with ease and they made you feel like you could really crank the bike over and still have plenty of grip left over.
On track is a different story, although all of the above still applies its the progressiveness that lets them down, you really will not know when your nearing the tires limit until it's too late and the back end wants to play a different game.

Tire wear, i would get about 4000 miles out of a rear and double that on the front.

Using them in the wet never gave me any issues on the road or on track, but then i didn't push them too hard
