Volkswagen Bora Tdi Sport Tire Review Highlights

I purchased these tires as i had some budget constraints and couldnt really afford to go with anything else, prior to these i had Goodride SV308 which was not a great tire, a friend of mine told me to try the Linlong's as he was also using them so i gave them a shot expecting a mediocre tire and instead i was pleasantly surprised..the car changed dramatically, cornering was now excellent, overall ride quality much softer and there was considerably less noise whilst on the highway, The roads here in Chile are terrible but these tires have surprisingly escaped intact from some pretty vigorous driving and potholes. my car is lowered on H&R Sports suspension and the ride quality remains comfortable. havent really tried them in the wet as it doesn't rain often here. overall very happy with the purchase and performance of these tires.

Excellent all rounder, brilliant grip in snow,it seems a lot of people blame the tires for their driving incompetence. As a professional driver I find the P6000 among the best tires I have ever used.

My advice - consider something else if you can. Changed from old favourite Dunlop SP2000E to Goodyear Excellence and difference was immediate on my Bora. Changed all 4 and as I couldn't get usual brand I was recommended to go for these by local independent supplier, but on reflection I think he was just trying to shift stock. Fuel consumption went up by 10% - yep, you've read it right, and that's despite v. careful driving. So dramatic was the change that I had diagnostic check to see if car had changed in any way, but checked out 100%. Only when researching tire did I find reviews that gave tire poor rolling resistance. Beware.

I had a full set of these on my old Bora as winter tires. I thought they were excellent tires. Dry handling was good and even acceptable for spirited driving. The rather flexi tire walls and tread blocks made the car squirm quite a bit when cornering quickly. Wet handling was superb - the aggressive tread pattern evacuated very large volumes of water, making the car feel very planted. I drove once in snow and they were very good. The car had very good traction and were controlled under braking. In my final year of ownership of that particular car, I left the tires on through the winter, spring and into June. They are classed as "all season" and they certainly did the job. They held up to temps in the low 20s and the handling in the dry did not really degrade either. The wear on them was also very good - for over 6 months of motorway and town driving, over 300 miles a week, shaved off about 4mm.

Highly recommended but I think you will be hard pushed to get a fitter to fit them without asking if you are sure of fitting tires that look like they belong on the Alps.
