Driving on a combination of roads for 1000 spirited miles
There's really not much to like about these tires! If anything, they are solid under breaking, and aren't too adversely affected by wet weather. However, in every other aspect, I can't wait to move them on!

Performance is mediocre at best in dry weather, with large amounts of understeer, and they struggle to get power to the road. Feedback through the steering wheel is wooden, as though there's not enough give in the sidewalls to allow the tires to bite into the road surface, which isn't inspiring in the slightest. In wet weather they don't seem to be too much worse, but coming from a low dry standard, I wouldn't be trusting these on a spirited wet weather drive.

Perhaps my least favourite aspect of these tires are the road noise, they have the loudest tire drone I've ever encountered! It's distracting, and takes away all the enjoyment of conversations, music, engine noise, and basically driving in general. I might as well be driving a truck!

I'll be moving on from these tires sooner rather than later, even though there is still plenty of tread onboard.

Driving on a combination of roads for 1300 spirited miles
So I've put them in a golf gti 6. the price is absolutely amazing, they're really not too bad on wet, but best tire I've had so far for the track (I've only tried PS4 and PS4s, so not much experience) but miles better on track than a Pilot Sport 4s, not just with grip, but also they go for 5 or more laps without overcooking. very pleased with them on track.
however, terribly noisy on road, anything above 70kmh I get this horrible wheelbearing noise (trust me I've spent 1200euros changing all 4 wheelbearings only to then find out it was the NS2R) and not the best when cold. wouldn't buy this for spirited road driving or daily driving.
If you have an extra set of wheel for road use and you want something good for the track 100% go for it.

Driving on a combination of roads for 150 spirited miles
Using the Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 6 on my gti mk6 255bhp Pros = wet and dry grip is good off the line & plenty of grip levels,Braking is 5 star ... Comfortable quiet tire but only slightly sporty i think Cons = driving at motorway speeds+ i feel soft sidewalls, initial turn in feels slightly numb, mid corner they feel floaty & personally i think the tire feels heavy weighted Overall= Good Tire it offers a bit of everything, where as my previous michelin ps4 were sporty as hell but ps4 didn't brake as good & only lasted 4k miles and the comfort level wasn't as good, goodyear feels like boots on car michelin ps4 feel like boxing shoes on car goodyears f1A6 Compared to michelin ps4 felt a little lazy Goodyears very similar to continental premium contact 6 tires i think not sure what i will try next maybe pirelli to get my own opinion on them. i wouldn't buy michelin ps4 again for daily use because the tread didn't last long at all that's only reason here. best of the bunch i've tried for overall use would be continental premium contact 6 so far

First season on them, they are absolutely amazing. I believe that this is the best investment ever - great value for money. Phenomenal grip in snow and ice, an absolutely amazing winter tire, ive been driving them on steep roads in snowy conditions with ease, ive had many other tires previously - some of which were more expensive i find that these tires even outperform some high end brands in proper winter conditions.

Driving on a combination of roads for 8000 spirited miles
Got them for new on my Golf 6 GTI which is a tuned Stage 2 FWD Hothatch. They handle the power amazingly, dry and wet, really surprised with the wet grip. Pilot Sport 4S were not available in the 18s when I got these, but these are amazing in the performance department. Comfort is what you would expect, is fine overall nothing to complain about considering the setup. Wheelspin is very little on ideal conditions, really puts the power down and in the wet as well, they just fly. Wear could be better but considering the spirited driving I've done, is not too bad. Ran them for two season, but sold them These tires are real good for their price point, definitely above the competition in this price range. Keen to try the 4S now as I upgraded to 19s for the summer, but might not happen as I've got them with Hankook Ventus V12 Evo2, 6 tires, so might take a while to go through all of them. Gonna run them and see how they behave.

Driving on mostly town for 3000 spirited miles
Really solid tire overall. Running 225/40/18 on a Stage 2 Golf 6 GTI, pretty heavy on the fronts, but copes amazing with cold weather, wet surfaces and slime on the winter roads. Dry grip is also good on low temps and they perform great in the bends, really sharp and precise. Wheelspin is not bad at all, was really impressed with how the tire responds to a tuned FWD hothatch. Had Dunlops on winter before and they were really disappointing. Wear is fine, one season passed, gonna swap fronts and rears and there are at least 2 more seasons left in them, considering spirited driving, no track days though in the winter. Not an issue with comfort, considering the setup, not too harsh, just right. Really pleased, strong sidewalls, copes great in the snow and mountain drives, also a bit of off roading here and there and handles the car fully loaded with no issues. Would buy again if presented with the opportunity, but would go for the newer and improved LM005 over the LM001.

Writing about the Pirelli P Zero Nero GT given 47% (225-40-18-)
Driving on mostly country roads for 1000 average miles
Not happy! I’ve just swapped from Bridgestones to 4 new P Zero GT’s on my mk6 gti.
They have quite simply ruined any sportiness the car had. Even at low speeds on roundabouts the car flops sideways, front first, followed by the back.
They sport setting on the dynamic chassis control feels softer than it used to on comfort!
They grip fairly well and braking is good. I presume they have a good compound rubber, but with a very soft side wall (as if it were a soft winter/snow tire) so the whole experience utterly shocking.
I feel if turn too hard they would fall off the rim. I’ve lost all confidence in the car in any cornering.
Do not buy these if your car is even half as sport as a gti. I can only imagine these working on a soft family mpv. Total disappointment.

Fitted to a modified MK5 GTI, these tires are as well rounded and damn near as perfect as you've heard. Very high grip limit in the dry and wet, simply superb feedback. Wear has been the biggest downfall with 2000kms per mm of tread for me, to be fair that is with pretty aggressive driving. I would be happy to use them on a trackday or autocross and definitely buy again. My biggest complaint but not really an issue is that they are quite a bit noisier than I thought they would be.
