Top 3 Accelera X Grip 4S Reviews

Given 57% while driving a Ford 05 Mondeo 185 (modded) diesel (235/40 R19) on mostly country roads for 25,000 average miles
Accelera X Grip 4S tires purchased from new. Recently replaced after 25k miles and fronts still had 4mm and rears 6mm, which was surprising. Tires were starting to crack on tread and were nearly three years old. I paid £300 for the set on line then got them fitted locally. They balanced up pretty well and didn’t need too much weight and don’t lose their shape at all. Dry handling was fine as was braking. However they screeched going round and corner or roundabout- not at speed! It was embarrassing because people would stop and stare thinking you were speeding. Wet handling they were scary with the whole car would slide sideway or under acceleration lose grip. It was the wet handling performance that made me want to replace them for Michelin Cross Climates. Snow handling (when we had it) was amazing and ok in slush and ice. This was the only time the car felt truly safer than average. I accept they were cheap and affordable all season tires were not widely available in my size. All I can say is don’t put a price on the safety of your vehicles occupants, buy the best you can afford and avoid these, if you can.

Given 70% while driving a Ford Mondeo Titanium 2.0 TCDI (235/40 R19 W) on for 8,000 miles
I usually fit summer and winter tires but decided to opt for all seasons due to living in a remote rural area. The car I drive offers very few all season options so I chose these which cost £61 each opposed to £160 plus per corner. In the warmer weather they are ok and on par with any other slightly higher end budget tire. They do lose a little grip in the wet when accelerating, but generally ok. They have mud and snow markings and have waited to try them during bad weather. Today in about 5cm snow they performed admirably. I was quite surprised as I could almost drive as if there was no snow. This was definitely the tires strong point. Stopping in the snow was the same as my previously fitted Dunlop tires. I would recommend these tires if you are confined to a budget but want that assurance during the winter months.

Given 91% while driving a Audi A6 Avant 2.7Tdi Quattro S Line (245/40 R18 V) on a combination of roads for 2,000 average miles
Swapped over from my Goodyear Eagle Asym3 summer tires to these as a more cost efficient winter tire solution as it gives more benefit being all season. After 250 miles of bedding in, they are very sure footed on my 280Bhp remapped A6 Quattro Avant in the dry and equally in heavy wet weather. Overall MPG is fractionally lower than the GY but that goes for any winter tires. I’m impressed with the low noise of these tires and they are very comfortable. The only small negative is that on the limits of a good B road there is a tendency for some floating but the Quattro system brings everything in-line; not sure how it would play out on a front drive car. Braking performance has been excellent in all conditions and with some cold icy mornings they have been reassuring on the back roads into work. Will update if I get opportunity to drive in the snow as we head in to winter. After 2,000 miles no visible wear, great value and would happily recommend and buy these tires again.
