Hankook Dynapro A/T2

The Hankook Dynapro AT2 comes with a particularly robust design as its predecessor Dynapro AT M, which has been very successful worldwide for many years. This covers the needs of all those customers who require high traction and safety with their off-road vehicle both on and off paved roads. Thanks to the 3PMSF symbol on the sidewall, drivers can now drive legally all year round with this tire. The line-up covers all popular sizes in this category from 15 to 22 inches.

I was talked to getting Hancock Dyna Pro AT2 tires from Bob Jane and I wish I'd never heard of them.
The tires have good traction and all the things that you desire, but the road noise from them in the cabin is just a terrible drumming noise that drives you nuts. I've driven about 40,000 km on it and enough is enough I can't stand it anymore.
I'll either go to Toyo's that I've had for years on our other vehicles or Pirelli's but not Hancook anymore.

Given 73% while driving a Land Rover Freelander 2 (235/65 R17) on a combination of roads for 15,000 average miles
First of all, after the regular summer tire, Hankook turned out to be very comfortable. I enjoyed driving both on asphalt and off-road. Unfortunately, I only had the chance to use them for one season. During winter, a Russian missile hit the storage where I kept the tires. So, for the next season, I purchased different tires that were available at the time. I highly recommend them and think I'll return to them someday.

Given 39% while driving a Suzuki grand vitara (235/60 R16) on mostly country roads for 10,000 average miles
Nothing really stood out with this tire in use, it performed as expected for an AT tire, until it was destroyed on a gravel road by a case puncture. A stone passed through 6mm of tread and case. Have had case punctures in gravel on occasion, but generally when tread was near minimum. Will not buy again.

The Hankook Dynapro AT2 are marketed as a all-terrain tire but behave much more like a highway tire. My grip when doing light off road work (mostly loose gravel, pulling a 5000 lb. boat uphill on a steep boat landing) is poor when compared to the grip my Buick Enclave's Michelin Defender LTX's have (while pulling a 2500 lb. boat, a similar load considering the towing capacity of both vehicles).

The MPGs I get and the road noise are very good - but its performance on a variety of terrains, literally what they are marketed to do, is subpar.
