Top 3 Michelin Alpin 7 Reviews

Given 92% while driving a Audi A3 Sportback (225/45 R17) on mostly country roads for 1,300 average miles
i got this tire 1 month ago (91h), a bit early for a winter tire and there was no reviews or test. my car came with nexen n fera sport su2 91y, so i can compare, and i got wintercontact ts 870 on my old car .that tire was really good dry/snow/wet but i got 2 bubbles on sidewall with wintercontacts so i decided to try michelin this time . first impression is change in comfort . car was ok in big ondulations but in small cracks it was harsh. car felt really harsh with nexens. in alpin 7 you can easily tell the difference in soft sidewalls . (summer uhp vs winter touring obviously). i’ve done night drives in dry cold weather(2-3 celcius) in country roads. tires are less direct but gain in comfort easily neutralizes this. dry grip is ok. in wet felt really similar to nexens . and in noise alpin 7 is louder at >130 kph, but different pitch (and actually more tolerable. ) the weather is cold and dry at the moment and i will update with snow/ ice grip. my recommendation rating is 10/10 for those looking for a user review. change in comfort and refinement shocked me too much , nexens did only 25.000 kms but i am right now considering sell nexens and get pilot sport 5/ primacy 4+ for this summer. if you drive on smooth tarmac all the time maybe it is not important for you but in my country definetly we need a bit soft sidewalls with this pot holes cracks and bumps even in spirited driving :D

Given 90% while driving a Audi A4 b9 2.0 tdi (245/40 R18) on a combination of roads for 1,000 spirited miles
I had only recently bought these tires. There were no reviews since they are brand new, but I had Alpin 3 and 4, plus this is Michelin, so I figured they are good. And indeed they are. Much sofer and offer more comfort than my summer Goodyear F1 Asymetric 6. Thats the first impression. They offer more comfort. Noise is the same as F1, handling is fine, as you expect. Still waiting for a below zero temperatures and snow, but for now - you get what you pay for. Excellent tire

Given 92% while driving a Audi A6 Avant 3.0 TDI Quattro (255/40 R18) on a combination of roads for 10,000 average miles
Ok, so I had these tires for 3 months, but I did 10 000 km already. In the city they are fine. But few days ago I was in a heavy snow on a highway, almost all cars drove slowly,, but I decided to test Alpin 7. Left lane, through snow, no problem. Slight undersreer only. Excellent tire, top marks for snow. Ride comfort is fantastic. On dry roads they are a bit softer, but for a winter tire, it is just fine.

Given 83% while driving a Volkswagen Passat B6 2.0 tdi 103kw 4motion (205/55 R16) on a combination of roads for 1,000 spirited miles
Compared to my old Nokian WRD4s these are night and day comfier and grippier. Generally, it feels like a safe and balanced tire, and I very much like the comfort improvements, given that the summer set I am currently running is a Bridgestone Turanza T005, which is bad for a touring tire. Since I've mounted them, I have had no chance to test snow and ice, but I'm expecting good performances, especially when combined with the Haldex my Passat has.
Dry braking feels a little long, but the overall grip is generally good, and wet is especially good for this type of tire.

The only thing I don't like about these tires, but I'm fine with it given the positive factors, is that the sidewall is very soft.

Pricy but overall happy with the purchase.
