The Best All Season Tires for 2024 / 2025
1st of 9 tires
  • Joint highest dry performance rating, top-rated wet performance, second-highest snow performance, above-average ice traction, high comfort rating, second-lowest rolling resistance.
  • None.
  • It's a strong win for the Pirelli Cinturato All Season SF3. Pirelli have been rapidly evolving their aftermarket line of tires recently, and the SF series has been through multiple iterations to get to this point, and it's been worth it. The tire was joint best in the dry, the best in the wet, second best overall in the snow, good on ice, comfortable and had the second best rolling resistance. It's a hugely impressive tire.

The Best All Season Tires for 2024
3rd of 7 tires
  • Best in dry with shortest braking distance and fastest lap time, very good in wet, best aquaplaning resistance on test, very good in snow traction and snow handling, best ice traction, low noise.
  • Slightly extended snow braking, highest wear resulting in lowest overall value.
  • The Pirelli Cinturato All Season SF3 would have been the test winner if I hadn't tested wear, and honestly, was my favorite tire to drive on. It was the best in the dry, one of the best in the wet, very good around snow handling and its rolling resistance was plenty good enough too. The fact it has high wear might not be an issue for some, plus it's not much higher cost per 1000km than the Michelin, but if wear is important to you, then this is not the tire to buy. Certainly the most summer feeling of all season tire which will be appealing to some.

Top 3 Pirelli Cinturato All Season SF3 Reviews

Given 87% while driving a Lancia Delta 1.4 Multiair (225/45 R17) on a combination of roads for 6,000 average miles
I’m going to leave this mini-review here, even though I haven’t tested them in the fall/winter. They have been on the car for about 4 months and 6000 kilometers.

These are absolutely incredible tires, especially considering the fact that they are all season. Dry and wet grip is really good, braking is safe and the handling is really nice.
I think they were the best decision for this car in the family and if they behave good in the winter, be it on snow or at low temperatures, I’ll get them for the other car in the family.

Been looking for more reviews for them in that aspect and I haven’t seen many, that’s why I decided to leave my (short) experience here.
Also, the wear is really good so far. I believe that if they last for 30.000 kilometers or three years, it would be a good deal.
Really safe and nice tires overall.
Will be back in the spring with the experience after driving them in the fall & winter.

Given 93% while driving a Volkswagen Golf (225/45 R17) on a combination of roads for 8,000 average miles
For an all season tire this thing is fantastic, it reminds me of the original crossclimate as it's really good in the dry and wet. The snow grip was more than enough, not tested it on ice.

Really happy with the purchase, wear doesn't even look as bad as some of the tests would have you believe.

Given 58% while driving a Volkswagen Golf 8, 1.5 TSI (225/45 R17) on mostly motorways for 100 average miles
This review is not focused on the performance of the tire, but rather serves as a caution for those considering this tire due to potential manufacturing issues.

Here's what happened: I purchased four tires that exhibited significant vibration problems. It’s unclear whether this was due to issues in production or storage. After having the tires mounted and balanced at a garage, I noticed my car vibrating at highway speeds, so I returned to the garage for further inspection.
The garage rebalanced the tires and discovered that they were not perfectly round, which was visibly noticeable. When the tires were rotated on the balancing equipment, the surface was uneven, with varying heights from the inside to the outside.

All four tires had this issue, ranging from minor to severe.

I contacted the online shop where I purchased the tires to arrange a replacement or return, but it has turned into a long and frustrating process. It’s been a waste of time! If you are considering buying these tires, I strongly recommend consulting a local tire expert and avoiding the complications that come with ordering and mounting them through different parties.

I trust TYRE REVIEWS, which is my favourite auto-related website as a petrolhead. I genuinely believe that the Pirelli Cinturato All Season SF3 offers top performance in its class. However, this experience has been so disappointing that I will never, ever consider purchasing Pirelli tires again.

For reference, these tires were produced in Romania during the 14th week of 2024.

Given 95% while driving a Honda ZR V SPORT e:HEV (225/55 R18) on a combination of roads for 4,000 spirited miles
Amazing tires. Absolute champions in the wet, great handling in the dry, sporty feel. Matched up with an FWD SUV vehicle you will not have any problems. One thing of note, they are less sporty in the dry than the original summer tires.

Pirelli cinturato all seasons SF3 tires replace Continental ecocontact 6. I am satisfied. Better handling on dry and wet. Less rolling, reinforced tire. On the other hand, more rolling noise.

Given 88% while driving a BMW 440i Gran Coupe M Sport (245/45 R18) on a combination of roads for 800 average miles
Had these to prepare for UK winter conditions for safety over my summer tires (Goodyear Eagle F1 5), and already can feel improved comfort and ride. It's hard to describe really but it just feels better to drive.
Wet is fantastic and I feel much more confident on such surfaces at higher speeds. Dry is the same, and I mostly drive on both country and town roads. Have experienced motorway with these too and the same feeling of confidence and comfort. So I couldn't be happier with the tires.

Yet to experience the tires on ice or snow but I've full faith in them.

Given 100% while driving a BMW 120i M Sport (195/55 R16) on mostly town for 5 spirited miles
Initial impressions: The tire is silent compared to 18 inch Michelin Pilot Sport 5's and takes bumps well for an XL tire.

Turning feels really nice at 15 degrees celsius in the dry, I am very happy with Pirelli so far, I'd even say that now my front wheels turn too quickly, I have to get used to smaller tires. Some of the tires were lightly bulged out of the factory, but still in spec for a small car. (Balanced with Hunter Road Force Elite)

I'll return with a winter review.

Given 85% while driving a Nissan Juke (225/45 R19) on a combination of roads for 2,000 average miles
It has definitely been a choice that improved the driving comfort of my car. I’m pleased with the road handling. I’ve had the chance to drive around 3,000 km without experiencing any issues. With my B-segment SUV, I can now take turns more easily, and I’m satisfied with the braking distance. Both dry and wet grip have shown a significant improvement for me. The performance and safety level of my vehicle have definitely increased. I haven’t noticed a difference in fuel consumption compared to my previous tires yet. Although the suspension of my B-segment SUV is medium-firm, I feel less impact from bumps and potholes on the road, and I can notice the difference in comfort. I haven’t had the chance to try it on snow or icy roads, but I’m confident it will perform well.

Given 82% while driving a Dacia Logan (185/65 R15) on a combination of roads for 0 spirited miles
Coming from Continental's Eco Contact6 to these Pirellis, first impressions after a couple hundred km:
-Even though the Continentals were 4 years old and only ran for about 13k km during their lifespan, the dry grip was better than the Pirrelis, which I was not expecting.
Even so, I am satisfied with their performance
-Wet grip has improved, they seem very good so far, but I'm waiting to "measure" the performance when it gets cold outside. So far the temps here in Romania haven't dropped under 15c where I live
-Comfort: Noise is very good, but not as comfortable as the Continentals. Even so, I prefer lower noise and a harder tire. Steering feedback seems to have improved, but given the Dacia's weird steering system, this may be placebo.
-Haven't had the chance to test snow yet, nor icy roads

Overall I am satisfied with the purchase, and I'm looking to update this review once I get to spend some more time on them.

I'm also debating switching to these on my 4motion Passat

The SF3 is one of the best all season tires in the dry, sadly no all season tire can match a summer tire in the dry yet, especially when you factor in new tread depth vs worn. We look forward to seeing how you like them in the cold and snow.
