Pirelli PZero Nero Reviews - Page 7

Given 60% while driving a Alfa Romeo MiTo (215/45 R17 W) on mostly town for 21,000 average miles
Hard compound which is difficult to warm up so in short distances or slow speeds grip is not ultimate. However when warm grip is very well and the response is immediate. In the wet they are underperforming. I will change them in a few months either for the Goodyear Assymetric or Michelin Sport. The only reason to buy them again is because they are a good and trustworthy alternative. But I think there are better options in the market.

I have ran these tires for around 8 thousand miles they are now ready for changing ive had them on for 7 months at £102 per tire i definatly will be changing my choice of tire next time around. i read the subaru wrx sti comment up top and i think he doesnt take his car out often. amazing tire but useless if its your everyday car and you like to put your foot down a little. If you have a car you take out on nice days these are most definately the tire to have!

Given 77% while driving a Toyota Celica VVTLi (225/45 R17) on mostly country roads for 1,000 average miles
I have had these tires on for about 1K miles now. They have significantly better wet weather grip than the Pirelli Asymetrics I had on before. They turn in well but perhaps not quite as well as the asymetrics.

I have already noticed they like to be run at high pressure as they didn't feel right till I increase the pressure to the max rating for the car. (38 PSI normal is 32PSI)

They do seem to be a bit more noisy that the asymetrics but not that significant.

Car feels very stable and predicatable on these tires the inspire confidence.

Can't really comment on life yet.

Given 57% while driving a Honda Civic Type R (225/35 R19 W) on a combination of roads for 7,000 average miles
great tires, good grip - but only lasted 7000 miles (less than a year) of average daily use (no racing or excessive driving speed/conditions). Cost not justified for how long they last.

excellent tires for performance all wheel drive cars. These tires were recommended by Prodrive to compliment their suspension and wheel package I have on my WRX STi and so far not only have they proved top notch in summer dry & wet, but kept on for past 2 winters with excellent grip in the snow/Ice, and all of this with 310BHP/475Nm Torque running through them.

Pirelli have always used a softer compound but by changing pressures for the different seasons has proved this summer tire can be an all season choice without having to sacrifice performance by switching to much lower rated winter tires.

after two years this summer i will then be replacing with another set, not sure how some people have had such poor performance & life from these with tires and with them on non performance cars, must be just the way they drive

Given 70% while driving a Volkswagen Passat 2.0TDI (235/45 R17 W) on a combination of roads for 68,000 easy going miles
I am just replacing the front tires which have done 68000 km, the rear have at least another 10000km left on them. I have run them at 48 lbs as advised by Pirelli and it worked. Too many people run them at low pressure and they wear out in half the mileage. I would not buy another set though, as they are too noisy which is a shame. I drive a VW Passat Diesel 2006TDI

Given 83% while driving a Fiat Grande Punto TJet (205/45 R17 V) on a combination of roads for 18,750 spirited miles
Unbelievable grip on wet, very good grip on the dry, very progressive and great braking. In the other hand Wear very fast and must be improved on aquaplaning.

Tested on both track and public roads and both wet and dry on track, in 2 cars with stock suspensions:

For 10.000km on Fiat Grande Punto 16v Starjet 95hp
For 20.000km on Fiat Grande Punto T-Jet 200hp

Have had these on my Renault Clio Sport 172 for a couple of years. Very pleased in general. Excellent dry grip. Great combination for the Clio's go-kart like cornering abilities. Also, don't get the tramlining I've had with other tires. Haven't really ever 'tested'them in the wet. On the down side, they haven't worn that well - the inside and outside edges both wore down before the middle, so had to replace them early but may not be the tire's fault. I am putting the same ones on again, mainly because I feel confident about their cornering and stopping ability, so why risk something different?

Came as standard fit from newand the car has always handled excellently on the P Zero Nero in both the wet and dry. Have chosen to replace like for like on the car to date.

There are several negatives. One being that these tires don't seem to have a long lifespan, and the cost doesn't help. Although the handling is excellent wet and dry, I stay of the road in the snow, when they feel like trying to grip a metal pole covered in grease.

Good grip and feedback, driven alot of motorway miles but also driven harder over country roads. Tire wear is very poor,on front tire, done 30k miles and having to buy third set of tires on second set at the back.
