2024 ADAC All Season Tire Test
13th of 16 tires
  • The Uniroyal AllSeasonExpert 2 tire receives an overall adequate rating for driving safety. It shows significant weaknesses on dry roads at high temperatures but manages to achieve good results on wet and winter surfaces.

On dry surfaces, the tire offers only adequate steering feedback and lacks precision. The driver must make frequent corrections due to delayed steering response and inconsistent cornering. The test vehicle tends to oversteer early in dynamic maneuvers, resulting in an adequate rating for limit behavior. Braking distance is rated as barely satisfactory.

On wet roads, the AllSeasonExpert 2 performs well overall. It secures good ratings in braking and aquaplaning resistance. However, its handling is only satisfactory, with the tire struggling to effectively combine longitudinal and lateral forces. The test vehicle tends to under- or oversteer slightly early and lacks precise maneuverability.

In winter conditions, the Uniroyal achieves a good result. It scores well in snow and ice braking, as well as snow traction. Only in handling does it narrowly miss a good rating, with room for improvement in combining longitudinal and lateral forces. The performance limit is at an acceptable level.

Environmentally, the German-made Uniroyal AllSeasonExpert 2 receives a good rating. It scores well in projected mileage, wear, and efficiency.

2024 Motorhome Camper Van All Season Tire Test
7th of 8 tires
  • Short braking distances and balanced, safe characteristics on snow. Secure understeering behavior also when wet, outstanding aquaplaning safety.
  • Somewhat longer braking distances on wet surfaces, too long on dry roads (downgraded), quite sluggish response to steering commands.
  • Decent on snow – falls short on dry surfaces.

2023 Tire Reviews All Season Tire Test
8th of 12 tires
  • Best aquaplaning resistance, good snow performance, good levels of comfort.
  • Weak in the dry with very long dry braking, average wet braking.
  • The Uniroyal AllSeasonExpert had the best aquaplaning resistance on test, which is something we often see from Uniroyal tires, but like the Toyo grip wasn't up to the standard of the best in the group in any category.

Latest Uniroyal AllSeasonExpert 2 Reviews

Given 76% while driving a Mercedes Benz E Class (215/55 R16) on a combination of roads for 10,000 easy going miles
These tires are outstanding in the wet, very good aquaplaning resistance, and a very confident ride feeling even at high speeds in the wet. The winter performance on fresh snow is good, on slush it is far better than its higher priced sibling from the same business group (the Continental AllSeasonContact). On dry surfaces they feel rather soft, however this doesn't deteriorate further at very high sumer temperatures. Dry braking isn't their strength, and also the handling feels a bit spongy (but a good match to my car's a bit nervous steering, which the tires calm down a bit). Their biggest minus is that they are very prone to get flat spots even after parking only for a few hours, and it takes some while (10-15 km of quick driving) that they smoothen out again. This is particularly happening at temperatures below 10 °C, less in summer. A car problem can be ruled out, as this doesn't happen with a second set of tires which was mounted temporarily for testing purposes. To summarize: outstanding in the wet, fully sufficient under winter conditions, and acceptable for the calm driver in the hot/dry. Wear is very low. Would buy them again if they hadn't this annoying flat spot issue.

Given 74% while driving a Toyota iq (175/65 R15 T) on a combination of roads for 4,000 spirited miles
Excellent tire for the price. Although they are all season I used only in winter swapping to summer tires in summer for better performance and economy on dry, warm roads. One draw back is very noticeable increase in fuel consumption. However when matched to better winter performance it’s worth the little bit extra for safety and added increased braking and traction.
