After almost 20,000 miles of mixed use I have order another full set of RainExperts. These are not the tires for you if you are a boy racer and push things to the limit. But if your priorities are safety and comfort in typical British conditions then get these. Even when worn down to 2-3 mm they feel much better in the wet than the Michelin Primacy tires that were fitted from new. I can only compare these with the Primacy on my car but I would say:
Dry Grip - Primacy slightly better
Wet Grip - RainExpert much better
Feedback - I'm not a boy racer
Progressiveness - I'm not a boy racer
Wear - No difference
Comfort - RainExpert better
Noise - RainExpert quieter (I was surprised by this)
Snow/Slush - RainExpert better (but it's not a winter tire)
Fuel economy - Primacy perhaps slight more efficient
Buy again - Have done

Given 63% while driving a Vauxhall Astra (205/55 R16 V) on a combination of roads for 8,000 easy going miles
Great for wet & dry summer use only.
Poor tire wear. Two front tires needed replacing after 8k.
Very poor on ice & snow. Avoid for winter use.

Vauxhall Vectra (195/65 R15 H) on a combination of roads for 0 average miles
Update on tires to the Vectra post 7 item down. In the end the tires lasted to 7,325 miles and were finished, the rears still look like new and I am very happy with them. I tried to contact Uniroyal to express my disapointment in the way they wore to no avail...not interested. I changed the fronts to Vredestein Hi Trac 2's, just as grippy and deep treaded but with a higher wear rating of 340 so I will see how these go.

Given 86% while driving a Fiat Punto 1.2 8v (165/70 R14 T) on mostly motorways for 1,000 average miles
noticed an instant difference compared to what I had previously. I have only done a thousand miles in them so will post again another time.

Given 87% while driving a Vauxhall Vectra cdti (150) (225/45 R17) on mostly country roads for 18,000 average miles
I bought a set of Rainsports when I moved to the countyside where you often get large puddles and water running off fields etc as well as the roads being narrow and windy. They are excellent. So good in fact that I bought a second set of wheels and put Uniroyal's snow and ice (SP66) version on them for the winter (it usually snows where I live) and they were also very impressive. In my opinion they do what they say on the tin.

Given 77% while driving a BMW 525 TDS (225/60 R15 V) on mostly country roads for 20,000 spirited miles
Very good grip in the wet, good in the dry, predicable all round. I would like to get more miles out of them. We get lots of rain in the west of Ireland very impressive on the wet country roads here. You will have to push them very hard to lose them.

Given 91% while driving a Volvo V70 D5 165bhp (03) (205/55 R16 V) on a combination of roads for 6,000 average miles
Without a doubt, the best tire i have had. It's not for those who drive their car like they stole it, the sidewalls are built for comfort and they deliver just that. Nothing short of awesome in the wet, much better by far than the contis and michelins i used before. They are really hard wearing too, i expected them to wear faster given the grip they provide. These WILL be going on my car again.

The best tire to buy if you live in the south of England! Will only buy this tire for England.

Given 74% while driving a Peugeot 206 cc (195/55 R15 V) on mostly country roads for 10,000 average miles
Peugeot 206 cc. Showing 3 mm tread left on front tires after 14,000 miles. So what you gain on the swings you loose on the roundabouts and probably sums up the tire characteristic for wet driving. ie soft

Rear tires have Goodyear Eagle NCT 5 fitted and have 7mm tread left after 32,000

As second owner I noticed previous front tires were Vredstien that lasted 30,000miles!!!

Given 86% while driving a Mazda MX5 (185/60 R14 H) on mostly country roads for 12,000 average miles
Bought two for the rear of my mx5 after scaring myself too often with the back end throwing itself about in the wet! - since then I have had no further incidents and feel confident going into wet corners - seem to lasting well too - 12,000 & plenty tread left.
