I had four fitted to the car a while back, they are as said very good in the rain and very close in the dry considering the tread width which is wide. The ride is also very good and they hold their pressures well. Here it comes...But my fronts have nearly had it they are down to 3mm in just 5,600 mile these are the most wearing tire I have had to date on the front. I run the fronts 3psi above base pressure because the 65 profile just sits on the tread instead of standing on it, my rears are also 3 psi above base and are like brand new the buy again choice on this site I have rated low but would buy again for the rears.
My car does eat tires on the front but not to this extreme other 280 treadwear tires have gone much futher with me in the past I have a pro pressure gauge as well and have had it calibrated so the pressures are accurate. One thing to some of the other reviewers they do not come in 225/45/17 size have you confussed this tire with the Rainsport tire.
All in all I really like this tire but not on the front of my car because of the very high wear rate...my driving style is easy going I am 55 and not heavy on corners or braking some cars they just dont suit on the fronts my Vectra is one.
