Volkswagen Polo 6N Tire Review Highlights

Writing about the Pirelli PZero Nero given 69% (205-40-17-)
Driving on a combination of roads for 11000 spirited miles
Awesome tire, good overall they have given me plenty of grip, handling is good, can be a bit hard but thats expected for the size, can be noisy at times especially on high way drives and can slip when hitting wet patches breaking but overall very good durable tires had them for 3 years now and still going strong

Driving on a combination of roads for 10000 average miles
Came fitted on my used VW Polo 1.0se. They lasted 10000 miles and still had 2 to 3mm left. Never let me down in Scottish weather not even a squeel, even with some spirited driving when alone in the car. Very impressive for a budget tire only changed to a premium tire for passenger safety and insurance worries. Good product.

Driving on a combination of roads for 1000 spirited miles
On my VW Polo 6N GTI the tires look and feel great. When its dry and sunny (hot pavement) the tires stick like glue. When its wet and slippery tho, the car is too light to force the water from under the tires and it gets tricky. They are noisy, but so is the car so ikc. Overall, bang for the buck, i am happy.

Writing about the Michelin Energy Saver given 45% (215-65-16-)
Driving on for 100 miles
It is the worst tire that I have ever used. It came with VW Polo stock, and I ve changed them Continental All Season. Michelin Energy saver is especially bad on wet roads in both ways handling and braking. I do not recommend this tire

Writing about the Nankang XR611 given 46% (185-55-14-H)
Driving on mostly town for 2000 easy going miles
Not a bad grip at all (in DRY!!!!).

In wet these were the WORSE tires i have ever seen!!
Really really DANGEROUS!!
I honestly believe they should be FORBIDDEN to be sold for road safety reasons.

Examples in wet:
-Aquaplanning - a bit of water in the road and you cant be carefull enough, sometimes it looked like the slower you go, the more times it happened (i got quite a few scary episodes)
-Going on normal road in a curve, if you touch the throttle (as to mantain a constant low speed), the tires will lose grip completely and the car will continue going straight ahead, it would just go off the ground.
-Going up hills it was very usual for the front wheels to keep on spining for a long time before the car started to move (and we are talking about a 999cc. w/50bhp..surely wasnt for the incredible amount of torque)

I cannot talk about the wear of the tires because they were so dangerous in wet i got rid of them in less than 1,500km (in my opinion, a new set of good tires was a better deal than a new front end of the car!).
I believe it would be good because the compound was really hard.

Writing about the Barum Bravuris 3HM given 81% (195-50-15-H)
Driving on mostly town for 3000 average miles
I used Bravuris 2 before this tire in my VW Polo. It was really quiet and durable.

I replaced it with Bravuris 3HM and for the first 3000 miles these were great in the dry and not so bad in wet. It is also very quiet and comfortable under my 950kg car with just a bit stiff suspension.

To sum up, fine for the price and I will definitely buy again.

Driving on a combination of roads for 9 spirited miles
Really good tires, very impressed, the tires felt like a proper track tire. Stiffer side walls but not compremising the ride, tire squeel is very minimal they are so controllable on and near the limit in all conditions, 100% advise anyone to buy these where possible

Expected better from this Nokian tires. Good grip in both wet and dry, but after only 10.000 km's started looking very worn and used.
