Given 56% while driving a Honda Accord (215/45 R17) on a combination of roads for 5,000 spirited miles
I put these on my 220bhp FWD saloon after previously having budget tires, bridgestone re010, Toyo R888's, Silverstone RR's and Bridgestone 040's.
I have to say that the wet grip on these tires is actually WORSE than that of cold semi-slicks. They inspire no confidence on anything other than a hot, dry road and will snap away and understeer with very little warning.


during the night on a slightly damp road, the grip levels were dangerous because despite having a torque-sensing LSD, I would get understeer with no warning whatsoever if there was the slightest hint of damp tarmac.
They aquaplane in standing water at anything over 55mph, just like Toyo R888's.

3 things save this tire :

very cheap
bone dry grip is excellent and rivals that of semi-slicks (on-road)
the wear rate is very acceptable, considering the price

i will not be buying these tires again. i've switched back to RE040's for the winter. These are OEM fitment on Civic Type R's and renowned to be poor in the wet. However, the difference between the 2 is night and day.
it just goes to show how bad the yokos were in the damp if 040's feel grippy.

next time i will not be compromising on price and will be paying the premium for Michelin Pilot Sport 2.

Given 87% while driving a Audi A3 Sportback Quattro 2.0L TDI (170 PS) (225/40 R18 W) on mostly country roads for 3,000 spirited miles
excellent tire in wet and dry, the more you push the more these tires grip never had a problem with them, will definatly buy again!!

Superb tire on offer a lot of the time so makes a very good purchase. not good in the snow, but you only have to look at the tread pattern to know that was going to be the case. a little noisy on smoother roads but the fto doesn't help with road noise. done plenty of track driving and these really hold up well!

very soft compound hence good dry grip and poor wet grip.not as good as other tires in same price band ie vredestein sessanta!

Given 47% while driving a Ford Fiesta (205/40 R17 W) on a combination of roads for 20,000 spirited miles
had these on car a while there not to bad on dry days awful on wet days used them on b roads a roads motorways and track and they took all the abuse you can throw at them but come winter time i had to leave my car at home no grip at all slid over the road

When new to mid-wear these tires are excellent on a small sports car such as mine. However, beyond mid-wear, they become significantly less impressive, and what is more, they do not last at all. I have owned my current vehicle since October of last year (it is now August 2010) and the tires were new-on when I bought the car. During that time, I have covered 8500 miles, driving a mixture of motorway, country lanes and A-roads. I have not driven hard, and am a well-trained Class 2 driver. Personally on a lightweight car, I think this is appalling.

Bought these with high hopes, but if I'm honest i was disappointed, dry grip is ok not as good as the potenzas i had previously, wet grip is damn right dangerous, and now their at the limit of tread there just lethal. I had to change the fronts to the rears after 6k so wear is also poo.

I would NOT buy again!!!

Given 56% while driving a Ford Escort MK2 RS2000 Cosworth 450bhp (195/50 R15 W) on a combination of roads for 2,000 spirited miles
I use these tires on my cosworth powered mk2 escort with around 450bhp.
I used to use Toyo R888's and i have to say these are not a patch on the R888's. The R888's didnt last very long, but then no tire does with the power i put through them lol. I managed a 11.1 quarter mile wioth the R888's, so they not too bad for grip.
I have now got Toyo R1R's, so i will see what they are like.

Given 84% while driving a Vauxhall Astra VXR (225/40 R18 W) on a combination of roads for 3,000 spirited miles
i have come to these after having conti's on my vxr, the first few miles were average, however ifter they had scrubbed in they are a joy, having 300hp through the front wheels doesnt seem to bother them. These come to life after they have had time to warm up and offer huge ammounts of grip and road feed back. When these do let go they do progressively and all movement is easilly controlled. I have soft-medium compound and wear rate is quite quick but thats what you get for higher levels of grip. Wet weather isnt as good as some but i did not buy them for this, when the weather gets bad i swap to my winter tires. All in all these are a great tire and i have and will be buying again, a great tire with a great price.

Given 87% while driving a Suzuki Swift 1.5 (225/45 R17) on a combination of roads for 2,000 spirited miles
So far my favourite tire, I have tried Falken FK452, Eagle F1 GSD3 and Toyo Proxes T1R.. they are superb in the dry, not as good as the Eagle's in the wet, but better than the rest in my opinion, they give excellent feedback, so any under-steer/over-steer is easily controlled. Will definatley by again as they have also been the cheapest.

Great Tire. Went from original fit Continentals after around 15k to Ecsta. That was a fair choice. Made the HUGE mistake of getting TrakMaxx after 35k and soon got shot of those. Had the Yoko Parada Spec2 at 38k and what a difference!!
The Yokos have been Nitrogen filled and grip dry roads like glue. Wet roads pose no problems either, however, aquaplaning can be evident in high density rain. Overall though a brilliant tire that will be purchased again.

These were the first set of tires I bought after the Avon ZZ3's that came with the car wore out - hence I had the parada's on all four wheels.
Now the ZZ3's were a good tire and I would have got them again but it was only ?30 extra in total to get the Yoko's at the time (April 2008 - approx ?380) so went with my heart. The grip in the dry was outstanding from the word go, constant feedback from the tires and an immense boost of confidence in tight bends. The grip in the wet was adequate, but due to the afforementioned boost of confidence any excesses in the wet were found to be punished and were soon learned to be a no-no.
The tires have been consistently like this throughout their life and the only major fault I can find is that they wore pretty quickly - though I think that's more to do with how much I wanted them to stick around.
Just had Falken ZE-912's to replace the fronts and the void in performance and feel is immediate - so at the earliest opportunity the rear Yoko's are going on the front to rekindle the love affair. WILL buy again and I am already saving up.
