Alfa Romeo Giulia QF Tire Review Highlights

Amazing grip, responsiveness. I just couldn't believe the immense grip that I can play with. I am sold with these two features. Regarding wet grip and handling not bad at all if there is a temperature in the tire.
I tried to drift a little with a bold tire during the winter in wet conditions, I became a passenger in my Giulia Quad :D
It's an amazing tire for the summer.
The fronts lasted for 13k miles, the rears could last 3k miles or 9k miles depends on your driving style.

Fantastic tires. Always been a Michelin man however as I was on the hunt for something different I might as well try the best. I AM BLOWN AWAY. Exceptional tire with great feedback, I drive very hard both on the road and on the track e.g. Nurburgring and they didn't show signs of overheating even after 5 hot dry laps although when your on the limit they tend to have a slight understeer bias. (side note; they do require some heat in them to be at 100%). Wet grip is very good again both on track and on the road not as good as a Uniroyal rainsport 5 but still brilliant. I had a concern about the amount of tread you get when the tire is new, it looks to be around 5mm which seems silly. However, I'm 7K Miles in and the rears now need replacing (track use included & inner shoulder is worn, centre tire is at 2.8mm) which over all I think that's damn impressive. Comparing directly with the PS4S i'd choose the Conti 7's mainly due to the amazing durability and how versatile it can be not to mention the price saving. I can't really comment on comfort as I run a low profile of '25'. DON'T SLEEP ON THE SPORT CONTACT 7

Amazing dry grip and feel, pretty comfortable too, wet grip actually ok but wet TRACTION a different thing however my Alfa QV is trying to put 500+ bhp through a set of rears and therefore not too surprising that its a little oversteer prone especially on a cold morning but as long as you are aware and don't drive it like you would a fiesta ST then you'll live to tell the tale. My JAG XFR on dunlop sp sport maxx's was a wilder ride that's for sure. Possibly an Alfa thing but the full lock crabbing is hideously annoying - whether its the tire i will see as just over 1mm left before they need replacing (current just over 8k on them from new) so expecting they will last to just over 10,000 miles which is the other issue - dry grip like this does not come without compromise... ffs.

Got 9000mls out of rear on Guilia QF. Fantastic dry grip and v predictable. Scary in wet on water logged roads.

Found the YouTube UHP comparison test with the M2 very helpful and informative. Based on this and Giulia Quadrifoglio owners feedback I went for the Goodyear Eagle F1 Supersports. 245/35/19 fronts and 285/30/19 rears. Running 2.4bar front and 2.2bar rear. My review with this tire is based on the knowledge that I've driven the same B road's for 30 year's with various performance cars and various makes of tires. Initial impressions are very positive. Crabbing is no longer present. Sidewalls do seem stiffer than the Corsas, but not annoyingly so. Steering does initially feel a little heavier but this doesn't effect turn in or handling, personally I quite like the little more weight. Wet weather grip is phenomenal, even in Race and using manual the car feels very predictable. Still to find the limit but with 500+ bhp and public roads I'll leave the hedges for someone else to explore. Latteral twitch from the rears going over drain covers in the wet is also much less severe. Dry weather handling is excellent. Turn in, apex and exit grip you really feel the tire bite. Still get a little slip from the rear 3rd to 4th when on limit in Race, again very predictable. Really impressed with the SS. Car feels much more predictable and has given me much more confidence wet and dry

Great tires on Alpha Romero Gila, great for first 25K miles, now at 26k miles rushing to replace. Great and confident cornering, stopping unreal, good traction on dry pavement. Hard rain and deep puddles - slow down, never tried in snow or ice conditions.

Runflat model 225/45 R18 front and 255/40 R18 rear. Excellent grip in the dry and very goog in the wet. Best cost/performance.

These came stock on my Giulia QF, they are amazing in the dry as you'd expect. They are a very sticky tire. I can't really say what they are like in the wet as it's been dry for months in the UK. But when I picked the car up in January there was torrential rain and some light snow on the roads and they were absolutely fine.

The biggest problem with the Corsa's are the amount of stones they collect when warm and sticky. Pulling into services or a carpark which might have loose gravel is a total nightmare. Or overtaking A roads where loose stones are standing in the middle, when you pull away the noise from the stones leaving the tires is like your driving on a new resurfaced stonechip road. I am sure this is the reason why my rear outer edge rear bumpers are all peppered to death after 10k miles. And for this reason alone I would never put these on the car again.
