Driving on a combination of roads for 5000 average miles
All is well until it rains and then I loose the back end of my Honda S2000 on a roundabout at 25mph. I wasn't even pushing it and it sacred me to death. It then did it again in the same trip. Not heavy rain. I've immediately replaced them for a much better rated tire.

Driving on a combination of roads for 2500 spirited miles
Very good tires for cornering. Might be one of the best ever made. But only when is hot outside. ! You can easily lose everything when you are too confident and temperature is beyond 20 Celsius. They wear very fast and they are quite noisy . But the fun on the Twisties is priceless.

Driving on mostly town for 20000 spirited miles
Rs4 gives amazing grip but only in the most ideal conditions. Getting temp into these tires is quite difficult, but once warmed up they grip very well. The grip is predictable but certainly not the best. Works very well in sunny weather. Cooler weather or rain makes it more difficult. Speaking of rain, this is not an all season kind of tire so can't expect the best traction from this set. The sidewall is stiff and gives great response and feedback, but high road noise as an unfortunate compromise. The stiffness does compound if you run a higher spring rate or high dampening but can be OK as an all season however not recommended. Wear on the tire is very good, long lasting with this harder compound. Don't expect comfort but this is a good track or weekend mountain carving tire.

Driving on track for 100 spirited miles
Well . I replaced my tires with these a month ago. Unused yet, held somewhere unsold but manufactured some time ago because they don't do these anymore. They are made in Japan. Rubber still soft without cracks. The main reason I bought these tires is because my car came from the factory with these. Even if they are old I wanted to know the feeling of driving my car completely stock and feel it how it was made to be driven. The results ? I shaved more than 1.5 sec off my best time I ever had on local track. I tried before different Potenza ,Yokohama , Firehawk and other street tires. Definitely the best street tires I ever tried. Most race prepared cars on slicks or semi can't beat my stock Ap1 on these. Short technical Supermoto track . Even at the limit the car does what I expect .That snap oversteer, those uncontrollable slides they are all gone ! And I can take any corner faster and brake later than I can do with any other tires I had before. No wonder these tires are on the cover of Gran Turismo original game. The only regret I have is I have no other chances to buy these anymore. I would pay in gold for such street tires. Brilliant tires for track or Touge !

Driving on mostly country roads for 100 spirited miles
I recently purchased these after watching many tire reviews. I initially wanted to buy the contact 7's but I couldn't find them available and they would've been more than double the price. This is my first experience with a brand name tire, until now I've had random aftermarket and used tires. These tires have completely changed my cars drivability. I was always afraid to drive my car in the rain since the rear wheels would kick out constantly, but now I have this confident tenacious grip of the road. I drive spirited but not track- no drifting but lots of hard cornering. The wheel feels sharp and responsive. These have improved my driving experience by 100%!

Excellent tire for the money, good levels of grip and progressive on the limit, very quiet when new and give good feedback

Not great tires for levels of grip, dont try and drive fast with them as the grip level is really low. Very progressive towards the limit however. Comfort and road noise is good and rolling resistance is quite low too.

For the Honda S2000 The chassis of the vehicle is too stiff for the side wall of this tire.

Moderate grip in dry setting and same with wet. There's a lot of understeer because of how soft the sidewalls are which also dull the feeling of the steering and response. For a sport tire this is truly rubbish quality made in Vietnam by a big brand. Wear is OK and comfort is not better. To simply put it, good for the price but not a sport tire.

these i imagine would be great on a saloon or coupe, as they are very comfortable, however on my s2000 they feel quite wobbly on the rear. i had hankook v12 evo 2 before changing and you had excellent stability. might not grip as well but you were faster with confidence. but the ride quality was quite harsh which the goodyears resolved well. on smooth track surfaces the goodyears seem to perform well. I believe these tires are bouncy and unsettle the car, giving you the impression the back end is breaking away but actually its more likely the tire is folding over as the sidewalls cannot cope with the extra grip. I have opted for some PS4 this time round to compare......if they are similar, i think I will have to look at a road legal semi slick. I recommend if you like comfort or dont drive a sports car

I bought the tires two years ago, I did 15,000 miles with them and they can do more. The thing I liked most about these tires was the feedback with the 2 ply side wall, Above 50 km they make noise. Above 25 degrees you grip a little better than a Pilot Sport 4. And below 10 degrees on a wet road a very, very dangerous tire !. The tire costs about twice as much as the Pilot 4 pilot but He is no twice as good. P. S tirereviews The best tires site !
