Jeep Renegade Trailhawk Tire Review Highlights

Driving on a combination of roads for 45 spirited miles
At 45,000 miles on this set , no punctures , still performing like they are new even when hitting deep puddles , down to under half the tread they had when new , just awesome tires.

Bought this tire after reading some very positive tire tests for 4x4 suv's. Normally I drive all seasons from september until end of march because we have very moderate winter weather in the Netherlands. These Goodyear EfficientGrip 2 SUV were put on a bit early at the end of februari because the allweathers were at their end.
This was a bit of a mistake..... These EfficientGrip 2 SUV don't like cold/rainy weather. I expected better grip but the car is sliding in corners and loses grip when driving away (high torque diesel). I really have to drive carefully in the rain because the Jeep Renegade awd system kicks in when the front loses grip.
In the dry these Goodyear are very good and comfortable. Perfect for holiday travels during the summer....

But i also use the Trailhawk on muddy gravel roads and wet grass meadows. In tire tests this EfficientGrip 2 SUV should be top of the range for "moderate off road use", but this is not my experience. No grip at all! So don't try to take a trailer into a meadow or on a bit muddy/wet gravel trail, you'll get stuck....
In my opinion this tire is probably best suitable for warmer regions.

Almost ready to replace at 72k km's (45ooomiles) - looking around at options but a great tire for the high k's I do around steep, very wind-y roads in New Zealand. Grip really well.

Mounted on Jeep Renegade Trailhawk since no chains fit this vehicle. I've driven High mountain snow and desert heat 118 degrees F. The road feed-back excellent. Very impressed with how they "stick" in wet weather. I was a little upset when I discovered the no-chain problem with 17 inch rim. I can't say enough about the security I've felt with this tire.
