Rover 75 auto Tire Review Highlights

Writing about the Goodyear Vector 4Seasons given 65% (225-45-17-)
Driving on a combination of roads for 1600 average miles
All good in terms of grip etc but absolutely abysmal in terms of noise. As soon as I drove off after having them fitted, I thought my front wheel bearings had gone, THAT'S how noisy they are. As soon as I can afford it, I'm having them taken off for something quieter.

Writing about the Jinyu Gallopro YH18 given 61% (195-65-15-)
Driving on mostly country roads for 12000 average miles
These came as part of a value choice at a well known online tire retailers. I went for these because they were cheap and had a reasonable rating, but I found I really had to take it easy on wet roundabouts or corners. Felt like there was no safety margin with these and one wrong move and it was all over.

Writing about the Bridgestone Ecopia EP001S given 74% (225-45-17-)
Driving on a combination of roads for 16 average miles
Great tire only lasted 16,000 miles , on my Rover 75 & i dont drive hard (pensioner) . Yes ! tracking was perfect and pressures correct & checked cold once a month or before any long journey . Pity about about they wore out so fast , were a great tire otherwise .

Writing about the Primewell PZ900 given 47% (225-45-18-)
Driving on a combination of roads for 1000 average miles
These tires were ok in the wet and dry.
The noise though, was totally unacceptable, turned my normally quite car into a rumble strip. Changed them after less than 1000 mile. I just could not put up with the noise.

Writing about the Vredestein Quatrac 3 given 91% (225-45-17-)
Driving on mostly country roads for 20 spirited miles
Great tires for rural areas where snow, ice, tractor mud, floods and bending roads are met each year. Good on motorways too with good life, perhaps not as much as a Michelin but far better grip when you need it.

Writing about the Avon ZV5 given 83% (225-45-17-)
Driving on mostly country roads for 24000 average miles
Very good grip in the wet and the dry. Good precise responsiveness, particularly on corners. Wear is good, but not the best I have ever had. Braking performance is excellent.

Driving on a combination of roads for 1000 average miles
made the mistake of changing all four tires at same time, after fitting the noise is incessant and sounds like my bearings have gone, the ride is so hard i had to check that my suspension was in good order as it feels like shock absorbers are shot at but the car is in good order i would not endorse these tires and will be changing back to my original brand of tires which gave me no problems at all maxxis

Driving on mostly town for 9000 average miles
My car came fitted with a brand new set - I expected to have to change them quite soon but 2 years plus on they seem quite reasonable - I have done approx 9000 miles on them. I do find them quite a noisy tire though

Writing about the Goodyear EfficientGrip given 80% (215-55-16-V)
Driving on a combination of roads for 22000 easy going miles
I've had a full set of these for two years on my Rover 75 2.0CDT SE Tourer Auto and have been satisfied with them in all respects. I drive in NE Scotland so not many roundabouts or motorways, but have still been great on long trips south acheiving 22,000 miles to date, but need replacing before the snow sets in. Tow a trailer and caravan at times and often have heavy tool boxes in the boot and the wear is fairly uniform. I like the chine on the side wall that protects the alloys from knocks. Bit expensive.
