The price was really good, and these are some of the best tires available in this class. They are surprisingly quiet (a lot quieter than the 6 year-old Viking tyes I had before), and reasonably comfortable. The road feedback is really good, and they don't feel soft, such as the old ones, which weren't reinforced.

Writing about the Dunlop SportMaxx RT 2 given 30% (235-45-17-)
Driving on a combination of roads for 10000 spirited miles
I bought the Dunlop tires after reading all the reviews and the different tire tests. Anything other than warm dry roads and the grip is very disappointing. Wheel spinning in first and second gear on typical British damp or wet roads. I have no confidence in the grip of these tires and after 10k they have hit the wear band. If you want a quiet tire with low rolling resistance go for the Dunlops. If you want a tire for grip and decent wear avoid these.
