185/55 16 Tire Review Highlights

Hankook Kinergy 4S2 rated 78% while driving a Honda Jazz
Driving on a combination of roads for 38000 average miles
Extremely well performing tire in all conditions, if you don't push it too hard (especially when the temperatures are in the 30s). They're a very good fit for my Hybrid Jazz, that I drive in Swiss weather all year long; lots of wet and cold don't make the tires feel unsafe in any circumstance; even snow performance is acceptable. The noise levels are also quite good, and the wear is surprisingly low without much of an ageing effect of the rubber. I am now at 38000 miles and there is still quite a lot of tread available. Considering the price of this tire is at least 30% lower than the premium brands (Bridgestone, Michelin...) and that for my car Pirelli and Continental are not available, I am finding it very hard to buy another tire for my car! Exceptional tire for the price.

Maxxis Premitra All Season AP3 rated 67% while driving a Nissan Note E11
Driving on mostly country roads for 1300 easy going miles
I bought a full set of Maxxis Premitra AP3 tires to replace the old, worn Nexen summer tires that came with the car. The improvement was immediate, with better grip and control, and even the sound of the tires is more appealing. I wouldn’t say they’re quieter, but they do have a more pleasant, lower tone. The water-dispersing ability is vastly superior—where the Nexens made it feel like I was braking every time I drove through a deeper puddle, the Maxxis tires just glide through without losing speed.

As I’m driving a small, light car at reasonable speeds on narrow country roads, I can’t speak for how boy racers might feel about this product. But for the miserable, wet weather of this Irish summer, I find them perfectly adequate.

Federal Formoza AZ01 rated 77% while driving a Honda Fit (Jazz)
Driving on mostly country roads for 20000 spirited miles
Being using these tires for the last 4 years, done about 20000km on them and the grip is amazing, its on a Honda Fit RS GP4 and the tires grip really well on the dry. Didn't get a lot of mileage out of it probably because of the way i drive. but i would recommend these tires for someone who drives spiritedly time to time i have confidence of the grip. being through a lot of pot holes because i am from a South Asian country with bad roads but no issues with the tires.

Toyo NanoEnergy 3 rated 77% while driving a Toyota Calya 2016
Driving on a combination of roads for 45000 average miles
I've using this tire since 2016 until 2024 still perform at it's best like new. Already clocking 70K km but still at 50% wear.

Bridgestone Ecopia EP150 rated 79% while driving a Suzuki Baleno
Driving on a combination of roads for 0 spirited miles
The grip and handling, at the120-180 km/t is quite good(if the tracking and balancing of the wheels is in order)
Changing tires now, after 65.000km, over the last 7 years ..mostly due to the age of the tires)

RoadX RXMOTION H12 rated 100% while driving a Unknown Unknown
Driving on mostly town for 0 easy going miles
Had 4 new RoadX tires fitted. Very impressed so far. They look great, handle great and the price was unbeatable.
These are the XL version (extra load) which are possibly over engineered for my car but with the reinforced side walls and stronger construction they should last longer on the pot holed roads we all have to suffer in the UK.
I don't drive to the limit of the tires, plus the cars safety systems would kick in before the tires let go (ABS/Traction Control/VSC/Brake Assist).

Four new RoadX tires for the price of one brand named tire!
RoadX are owned by Sailun which also make great tires.

Toyo Proxes Sport rated 60% while driving a Honda Fit (Jazz)
Driving on mostly country roads for 300 average miles
First off, ignore the optimistic reviews on here. They are obvious and sound like Yanks on crack with their excess positivity. Proxes are fine for the money, but pretty hopeless in some situations such as the wet, or over a cattle grid. Nearly lost control on hitting a cattle grid recently at relatively slow speed. I've had Proxes twice and wasn't all that impressed on either occasion in the wet.

Bridgestone Ecopia EP300 rated 87% while driving a Honda City
Driving on mostly town for 62700 average miles
I've just changed my tires to this brand, so I'm kinda new with these tires. However, I can say after a few weeks with this tires... it is much better than previous tires that I used. The tire brand previously was Toyo (can't remember which model), it was ok... slightly rough, kinda loud road noise. Went to this tire service centre, told them my budget... show them my car. In an instant the owner knew which tire was perfect for me... at first I thought he was joking with the price, it is more cheaper that Toyo... and handling was far far better, smoother (bare in mind, its the raining reason so the road is always wet & slippery) and also quieter (I know... new tires, of course its quieter). But for Bridgestone to give these kind of quality with this price point. I say yes, I would definitely recommend to others

Bridgestone Ecopia EP150 rated 67% while driving a Suzuki Swift
Driving on mostly motorways for 900 easy going miles
Hard to say about grip in wet and dry they seem OK and wear who knows but it's a new car they are OE factory fitted, the car ride is comfortable handles well with modest roll then again its a light modestly powered car. The mpg is around 60 the biggest downside is the noise on some road surfaces it might be made worse on s light car like this bit it's the worst of our cars.
