205/50 16 Tire Review Highlights

Maxxis MA iPro Victra iPro rated 88% while driving a Honda City 1.5 VTI
Driving on a combination of roads for 2000 spirited miles
low noise compare to my stock tire
super grip during my sharp corner
super cheap compare to branded competitor

Infinity Ecomax rated 85% while driving a Volvo S40 1.9D
Driving on a combination of roads for 30 spirited miles
Cheapest option isn't always the worst. These tires are godly quiet. They even handle well on B-roads at speed for what they are.
Fuel economy on these is better than my previous, only marginal, 0.5 - 1mpg difference

Overall id recommend these tires to anyone stretched on their budget :)

Giti GitiComfort rated 89% while driving a Toyota Sienta
Driving on a combination of roads for 500 average miles
The tires exhibit great levels of plushness, superior ride quality.
The tires also gave the steering greater heft. Made the car more stable and surefooted on highway speeds, but also less direct and agile around tight corners.

Continental VikingContact 7 rated 47% while driving a Mazda MX5
Driving on a combination of roads for 5000 spirited miles
the VikingContact is most at home in snow. Dry traction is poor compared to non-winter tires, and worse than any other winter tire I have used. For example, I accelerated hard from 30mph and spun my rear wheels - in a miata (a miata is no mustang, and should never be unable to do this - 167 hp)
Snow traction is good, but ice traction is not nearly as good as a Blizzak ws-80. If you have ice, get Blizzak. Viking lasted longer than Blizzak, but was a worse performer in everything except soft snow. I would only buy these again if I lived in an area where the roads were always freshly snowed upon

Triangle SporteX TH201 rated 63% while driving a Suzuki Unknown
Driving on mostly town for 4500 spirited miles
I bought 2 of these and put on the rear of my car ,,I had 2 other half worn "ok" brand budget tires on the front ....the first few days with this tire was interesting...literally no grip,,i'd go into round abouts tail first in the dry,,but the car balanced out in the wet...after maybe 1000km,the oversteer in the dry had gone and the car was now understeering so that would seem to suggest the tire gained a lot of grip after scrubbing in....it still looks brand new after 7000+km

Michelin CrossClimate 2 rated 86% while driving a Volvo V70 2.5
Driving on a combination of roads for 4000 easy going miles
Travelled many miles on the predecessor version 1 without problems. I believe the version 2 was meant to address wear problems and comes with a deeper tread block. Have not travelled far enough to tell for sure but feels like they will last for ages, however the trade off is a noticeable harsher ride that borders on annoying over uneven surfaces. Still the business on snow and ice though, never puts a foot wrong.

Uniroyal RainExpert 5 rated 33% while driving a Mazda Mx5 2008
Driving on mostly country roads for 16000 average miles
The tires in size 205/50/16 were fitted to a mazda nc. Total disappointment after the first 5000. Miserable in the dry, average in the wet. In conditions where there is increased slip on the road surface it is
very dangerous. This is probably also due to the Greek roads

Yokohama Advan Fleva V701 rated 55% while driving a Mazda MX5 MK3 2011
Driving on mostly country roads for 1000 spirited miles
Not very impressed, to be honest. Dry grip on warm summer roads is much lower than I expected, not even comparing favourably to the well-worn Pilot Sport 3's that they replaced. There's a lot of tire wall movement and they lack the precision that I've gotten used to with the Michelins. On the plus side, they are noticeably quieter and the wet grip is adequate. If you've got an MX5 and enjoy throwing it about occasionally, there are much better choices available.

Michelin Pilot Sport 3 PS3 rated 87% while driving a Opel Calibra V6
Driving on mostly country roads for 12000 spirited miles
The PS3 was the perfect fit for my Calibra. Rides smoothly, yet grips very well and gives good feedback!
The wear (as most Michelins) has also been outstanding.

I will definitely fit them again, because this size doesn't get the newest tires and I'll happily run them again for another 6-8 years!

Lassa Impetus Revo rated 31% while driving a Opel Astra G
Driving on a combination of roads for 10000 spirited miles
Only an average kind of tire. I was left disappointed with the wet grip and the overall feedback of them. Also, cracks started to appear after just 2-3 seasons of use. To put it simply - I wish I had bought some Avon ZV7s or Uniroyal RainSport 3s at the time (but my local tire shop kinda pushed me to get the Lassa)

Accelera 651 Sport rated 79% while driving a Saab Automobile 9000 aero
Driving on a combination of roads for 3000 average miles
Great tire for the money. If you buy these when they're on a deal from tirestreets in the UK you can't beat them got the entire set of 4 for £220. I don't do track days etc but for driving daily and bit of B road fun they're great.

Triangle SporteX TH201 rated 30% while driving a Honda 2009
Driving on mostly town for 0 miles
The worst tires I've ever had, absolutely no grip on a wet road. I had them for two months and i thought I would kill myself. Stay away from this product.
