Using this tire and I am on my 3rd month. So far so good. Excellent traction on dry surface and wet. With 300 treadwear AA traction A temperature.

TL;DR: If your car comes equipped with touring summer tires, the V701 is a great upgrade. If you're lucky enough that your car comes with the usual premium UHP tires equipped (CSC5/6, PS4/4S, S007A, etc), the V701 might not be for you. Context: Do note - I live in Singapore, where it never snows. The weather is usually around 30+ degrees Celsius all year round, and we have 180 rainy days per year, give or take. I've always loved symmetrical unidirectional tires. My purchase history includes tires such as the Yokohama ES100, Dunlop SP Sport Maxx, Hankook V12 (yuck), Hankook RS2, Yokohama AD08 and Toyo R1R. These aforementioned tires were not purchased for the Mazda 6, of course. My Mazda 6 was a mid-life purchase as I graduated from fun cars into something a little more comfy. When i took delivery of my Mazda 6 in 2017, the stock tires were Bridgestone's T001 in 225/45/19. Tire reviews are always subjective, so please bear these stock tires in mind. Suffice to say - I used the T001 for 10k km before I decided they were shite and didn't do justice to the 6. Even threw on camber bolts to tweak the 6's neutral front camber to 1.5 degrees to eke out more cornering grip from the T001. Didn't help much. I really wish Mazda had found a better OEM tire. V701 Review: Some time in early 2018, when I finally had enough of the stock T001, I found Yokohama's V701 and realised that they were priced very reasonably (in Singapore at least), especially for made-in-Japan 19-inch tires. Being a fan of symmetrical tires, I slapped them on (in a slightly-upsized 235/45/19) and drove them for a good 4 years in our blistering weather. First up - the V701 isn't especially noisy when new. They did get loud towards the end (but never uncomfortably so), and were reasonably quiet for the first 20k km. The sidewalls aren't especially stiff either, so they do offer you a decent amount of comfort. FWIW, I usually ran 240Pa (34PSI) for the front tires and 230Pa (33PSI) on the rear. On initial turn-in, the tire does give you a slightly vague feeling, but once the weight has loaded up, the tire provides a very high level of grip and confidence throughout corners. At the limit, the tires won't break traction suddenly. Understeer sets in progressively, allowing you to make corrections way in advance. Wet weather grip is also surprisingly good. Braking and cornering in the wet is definitely confidence inspiring. My wife (who also drove my car occasionally) remarked that the car braked way better with the V701 vs the stock tires. I've never driven these tires to the limit in the wet, but they gripped very well through the usual expressway puddles (ponds?) created by Singapore's typical thunderstorms. Wear was surprisingly decent for this tire. After 4 years and 40k km on a heavy (1500kg+) FWD car with camber bolts installed, the tires were *almost* down to the tread wear indicators. To be fair, I religiously rotated the tires front and rear every 6 months, and at the 2-year/20k km mark, I had them cross rotated (cost a bit more) so that I could evenly wear out the inside/outside of the tires - a lovely perk of symmetrical tires. I would definitely buy these tires again. The V701 definitely matched the Mazda 6 very well, and provided a very good balance of comfort and grip. For the time being, I've swapped them out to try Bridgestone's new Potenza Sport since they were also priced very attractively. These are my first asymmetrical tires I've purchased in decades and if they disappoint, I will be re-purchasing the V701 again for sure.

i’ve driven these tires on the rear end of a ford falcon ute, and even with the horrible weight distribution of these falcon utes these tires perform pretty well, have gone about 210kmh in these wheels and they still felt extremely stable when changing lanes, with grip i’ve been happy too with going on hill runs and twisty roads at an average speed of about 110kmh thru corners on the wet and i’ve pushed these tires to over 160kmh on some other corners and the rear end still grips well with the factory lsd diff. tire wear has been alright too (been driving it extremely hard almost daily and haven’t worn out near as much as previous tires i’ve owned). can’t comment about tire noise as my cars way to loud haha. oh yeah and i’ve down a few burnouts and skids in these tires and holy f*** do these things have good wear there’s been times i’ve though ive wrecked the tires and they still look as if no skids where commited. will buy another pair.

Soo i come back, with a tire review after 15000km. My reviewed might be more negative about handling and more positive about wear as i put them on in October and did most driving while road conditions got worse and worse so less grip less wear keep that in mind. The tire was great, comfort gets better as the tires break-in not over bumps but in the corners when you corner really hard at 140kmh they make some vibrating noise witch slowly goes away in few thousand kilometers but not completely, they have about 3mm still left on them its amazing how slowly they wear, and evenly as the manufacturer sayed, my car have a lot of camber specially on the back but the tires wear completely evely only the outside tire is very slowly fading away, i run them with 2.80-3bar in them and i have put them front to back at 7000km and i could feel the difference how the rear lost some grip mabey not the grip but the sharpness, some goes now with the front yesterday i tried doing circles and "8" shaped cornes from left to right without any electric control and i did a lot of wear to outside tires as traction control was not on and on the front i can definitely feel how they lost sharpens Maybe also some grip in the wet, i am angry at myself but those 5minutes were really enjoyable, this tires are very squealy so the noise is definitely not the limit indicator but they reach and go over the limit very progressively with good feedback you can go over the limit all day and remain comfortable in the tire, the grip is almost the same in dry and wet maybe not now in the colder temperatures wet road is very slippery many days.. and they deform a lot under extreme load yesterday my friend watching me stopped me after i got a handle of limits because he saved my rims almost touched the floor so yeah this shows the grip is definitely there even in the wet but you can feel is going down with the wear of the tire. I am recommending this tires to everyone who drives spiritually, also normally but the comfort factor may make normal drivers choose something else, for the money 108€ with work they are very good but not the best.

I replaced the OEM tires (Michelin Exalto) which are no longer in production) with Yokohama Advan Fleva V701. I could not find Michelin PS3 in stock in the area where I live. I drive the vehicle mostly during the summer months. Haven't had the opportunity to test in the wet. The Fleva have superior comfort and road noise level compared to the Exalto. The stability at high speeds on the highway is excellent, inspires confidence and responds well to steering input. The grip in corners is satisfactory, it builds progressively and gives you enough warning that you are about to lose the car. However, it does not have the ultimate grip that the Exalto had even towards the end of its life. I can not comment on wet grip as I haven't had the opportunity to test the tire in the rain. The tire was not cheap. The price difference from a Michelin PS3 was small. Not sure how it would compare with the PS3. On a plus note, soon after I installed these tires I took the care on a trip in one of the Greek isles, and had to drive the vehicle in some horrible dirt/gravel roads. The tires withstood that unplanned test spectacularly and came out without punctures or damage (had them inspected at the tire shop after the trip). Overall, haven't regret my purchase so far. Will try to give an update in the future on wear.

Fairly competent mid tier performance tire. Same level of grip in all conditions in my experience. Do note that the sidewalls on these are more flexible than rival tires (at 36-38psi), which can cause sidewall rollover and squealing when cornering hard. Mildly aggressive alignments will destroy these tires in no time too. Aside from that, perfectly fine for most driving, with the grip to keep you safe when the unexpected happens.

So far i did around 2000km, and the tires are great, my car is very stiff in general, lowered and have quait some chamber level from the factory, my speeds are usualy from 80kmh to 140kmh on normal roads and 160kmh on highways, so the tire feels great on dry (first few days thay were very loud) and on the wet thay are also very good a bit too good it gives you the confidence that will get you killed, aquaplaning is non existing u to 120kmh, this tire is very good all rounder just its not comfortable at all, the bumps were always problematic in my car but with this tires its even worse witch i dont really mind, thay really lay good on the road as the manufactorer is saying thay are wearing relativly evenly even with my high chamber level, witch means alot to me, to sum it up the tires are sharp but not comfortable, defenitly buy again.

Ran these tires for 3 years/12,000 miles. I'd wager these are probably the best UHP tires you can get in 195/45/R16 before going into semi-slicks. Very responsive tire with very minimal sidewall flex at a very good price depending on size. Wear is pretty good for a UHP, and still have 4.5mm left at 12k miles of mostly spirited driving, however the compound does feel aged at this point; much more vibration/bumps felt than when new, and although the grip is still pretty good, it's definitely past it's peak and does feel risky on the limit where it didn't before. Still streetable at this level of wear for average driving styles.

Far superior than the Avon ZV7's fitted before it, though Goodyear EfficientGrip Performance's can perform 98% as well as these Yoko's but noticeably more smoothly.

Not very impressed, to be honest. Dry grip on warm summer roads is much lower than I expected, not even comparing favourably to the well-worn Pilot Sport 3's that they replaced. There's a lot of tire wall movement and they lack the precision that I've gotten used to with the Michelins. On the plus side, they are noticeably quieter and the wet grip is adequate. If you've got an MX5 and enjoy throwing it about occasionally, there are much better choices available.

Dry grip - excellent, barely any tire squeal ( 195.
Cons - NOISY, significantly noisier after changing to light weight rims.
Would recommend for the performance.

Very very noisy tire, lacking on grip too. Feel is nice when pushing on but grip is a real let down.

good tires but they are making more noise than michelin alplin 6 winter, i can feel every small bump in the road, very uncomfortable

Had these tires for almost 2yrs. Excellent tires for daily. Comfortable but not numb with excellent feedback. Dry grip was great even in wet! Also used it for autocross, thats when I destroyed the outer tread, must be alignment issues but the tires continued to perform the same so I took it to the track again where it did not even show any signs of further wear. Dry grip in the track was good (not excellent) but when it gives, its very predictable and gradual. It didnt even bring me to any sticky situation and continued to perform great after 6 laps. Definitely not great for time attack or racing, but definitely great for a driver who needs an all rounder tire that can do anything good. From highway to mountain roads, these tires will do great.
