235/45 19 Tire Review Highlights

Michelin Pilot Sport 5 rated 87% while driving a Peugeot RCZ GT 156THP
Driving on a combination of roads for 1000 average miles
Only done 1000 miles but these new Michelin sport 5s are very good and a noticeable improvement on the 4s.
They handle well, no notice able uneven wear pattern as yet.
They are quiet too.
And pot holes seem less jarring, more adsorption from the rubber compound?

Michelin Pilot Sport 4 rated 76% while driving a Peugeot RCZ GT 156THP
Driving on a combination of roads for 25090 average miles
These handled well even in icy cold weather. They wear quickly and the fronts last approx 8000 miles but had uneven wear due camber set up being wrong, so assume would have got another 5,000
The backs lasted 25000 miles

Bridgestone Potenza Sport rated 50% while driving a Peugeot RCZ GT 156THP
Driving on a combination of roads for 15000 average miles
These Bridgestone, last 15,000.
They were noisy and handling skittish
The wear pattern was even.
Grip not as good as other brands in dry and wet.
Will not buy again.

Pirelli P Zero rated 50% while driving a Hyundai Kona N
Driving on a combination of roads for 400 average miles
Unfortunately, the factory equipped tires on my 2022 Hyundai Kona N were Pirelli P-Zeros. All the Kona N's were equipped with these high-performance tires, a poor choice by Hyundai. These tires seem to be made with a very poor compound, as they mine were in this condition after the car sat a half year on the dealer's lot: Hyundai Canada won't warranty them, as they say it is a tire manufacturer issue, and the consumer needs to contact Pirelli directly, whom I have heard is very difficult to deal with. I ended up selling the car shortly after. It's disgraceful that Pirelli would put out a product like this.

As far as ride is concerned, they do grip extremely well, but only in warm (+15C and above) temperatures. Anything close to freezing temperature or below, and they basically become like hockey pucks. Don't even THINK about driving on snow with these tires! In hot weather, they are sticky. They will pick up every bit of dirt and sand and fling it against the sides and underside of your car, so consistent use on gravel is not a good idea. Also, they are fairly loud and communicate a dull roar to the passenger cabin.

In summary, I would not purchase these tires again, no way.

Nokian SeasonProof rated 96% while driving a Peugeot 4007 (2.2HDi)
Driving on track for 14000 average miles
Bought these 12 months ago and will definitely buy again. Have performed well in all aspects of the British climate on a Peugeot 4007 (Mitsubishi Outlander clone). Car feels more stable to drive. Excellent in getting through North Wales snow and ice early 2023. Not showing any signs of wear after a year. Some road noise on the hottest days of summer. Have Nokian weatherproof on our other car, Freelander 2 , and will change these to Seasonproof when needed. Very impressed.

These tires have excellent grip on snow and ice but wear is adequate in great Britain as we have a lot of hot summers lately so managed to get 30000+miles from a set of these tires.aqua planning is good also .all round great tire get you where you need to be in any weather most definitely buy again .

Pirelli P Zero PZ4 rated 83% while driving a Bentley Continental GT
Driving on mostly town for 5000 average miles
I found tires safe with an option to drive the flat tires. Why this is not undelined by a producer? Also on a 4 wheels drive car the impression from driving is very good.

Pirelli Scorpion Verde rated 87% while driving a Ford Kuga
Driving on a combination of roads for 10000 spirited miles
Had these tires on ford kuga 4x4 for 10k miles now, to say the vehicle is driven with spirit is an understatement, they perform very well in the snow, good in the wet, great in dry conditions, they wear well BUT, I find them quite noisy at speed but then again maybe most winter tires would at motorway speeds.
