Maxtrek MAXIMUS M1 Reviews - Page 5

Given 100% while driving a Honda HRV (225/45 R18 W) on a combination of roads for 36,587 spirited miles
My regular tire shop recommended this as the best option as my vehicle only had 2 more years before scrapping, lasted me well with more than enough thread lift left. Would still get Maxtrek Maximus M1 for my new vehicle.

Given 41% while driving a BMW (225/45 R17) on a combination of roads for 4,000 average miles
Not sure what to say about these lethal tires!! Came as part of sale on rear of 06 BMW 320d, in the dry they are good enough never felt they would let go on corners but once any sort of water hits the road it's a whole different story. Any power over the rear wheels on corners or junctions makes them let go which is nothing but dangerous. never in all my years have I experienced tires with so little grip on the wet and I dread to think what ice or snow will do to these rubbush tires. don't buy cheap tires as these I'm sure have and will cause many a accident and your life is worth more than this crap!

Given 23% while driving a Honda CR Z (225/45 R17) on mostly town for 150 average miles
Seriously the worst tires by far. Dealer put these on as part of sale. No grip in wet at all. Skid on standing start, skid on mid corner acceleration, skid on roundabout turns. Only saved by car's ESP. Had them for 5 days and changed to Pirelli P7. The comparison can not even be measured by scale. These tires should be banned from the road as it's dangerous to use them in wet.

Given 43% while driving a Fiat Grande Punto TJet (205/45 R17) on a combination of roads for 4,000 spirited miles
A Ford main dealer put these on before I bought my Grande Punto T-jet late last year. The first time I took a corner in the wet I nearly lost control but put it down to the fact that I may not have scrubbed the tires in. 4000 miles later and they are just as bad, in fact I would say that they are verging on dangerous. Moderate speeds round wet roundabouts see the front end lose grip very easily and, if you lift off the power, end up with the back end stepping out.
In dry conditions the grip is average. The tires are very unforgiving and noisy and I am ditching them this week - before they put me in a ditch - and fitting a set of Michelin Primacy 3s.
I just hope that I notice a big difference!
Over 25 years ago when I was short of cash I used to fit second hand tires or remoulds, the Maxtrek show just how far tire technology has been ignored by this manufacturer!!!

Given 29% while driving a Ford AU Falcon (235/45 R17) on mostly country roads for 2,000 average miles
These cheap shit tires were put on by a Tight Arse Dealer, without my knowledge, or consent, as part of the sale. May as well have put 4 Rubber Ducks on the alloy rims. 'Made in Indonesia': Proves that 3rd World Muslim Countries can't make real tires. Removing. DO NOT BUY!

Given 97% while driving a Mercedes Benz A (225/45 R17 W) on mostly motorways for 35,000 spirited miles
Had this as tire replacement for my Mercedes Benz A200, these tires are great value for money with progressive lost of traction every 14
5k, and not sudden lost. I am very satisfied for the price I paid for them at RM Rims SG. Had recommanded these tires to my daughter for her next tire change. Definitely will buy them again when my current set wear out.

Given 100% while driving a Toyota Estima Aeras G (225/45 R18 W) on mostly motorways for 48,571 spirited miles
Extremely satisfied with these tires for my Toyota Estima, served me well for this size its load index and speed index are difficult to find for the price. I drive only on roads with no off-road driving.

Given 90% while driving a Honda Civic Type R (215/45 R17 W) on mostly motorways for 0 easy going miles
Had the Maxtrek M1 for over 45k km, and they still look good to go for another 10k to 15k. Dry grip is good but room for improvement on the wet grip. Lost is wet weather grip is progressive and not overnight. Can't complain too much base on the price to performance ratio. Would get these tires again when i need a tire change.

Given 33% while driving a Suzuki 2000 vatari jx2.0 (235/65 R16 H) on a combination of roads for 0 average miles
Simply dangerous in the wet, I have a them on a 4x4 on the front, might as well be made of wood, even in four wheel drive going round a corner is a case of will I make it, go near the brakes on damp roads and you will skid or your ABS will take its own life. IF YOU LOVE LIFE AVOID THESE AT ALL COSTS!!!!!
