Got this from second hand wheel i bought, really noisy at half worn. Probably noisiest i've owned. Grips is OK, but will replace as soon as fully worn. Have had other economy brand like hankook v12, kumho ku31, sava intensa, and also premium brand such as contis csc2, dunlop sport maxx, pirelli pzero rosso, pirelli p1 cinturrato.

OK so I have done around 6,000 Miles on these tires in 4 Months and I had to replace the Front Drivers side Tire Which is Now 3 weeks old, (I drove over a very sharp object which sliced the side wall).
I have to say that you could not tell which tire had been replaced because they all have the same tread depth!

They are very hard wearing tires but that means they are also quit loud, also the comfort rating I have given is for my car which is a Mitsubishi Lancer, The lower the profile, the less comfortable a tire will be.

I WOULD RECOMMEND THESE TYRES TO ANYONE WHO HAS LESS THAN £100 TO SPEND ON EACH TYRE!

Dry grip is OK, wet grip is horrible, as same as road feedback how is very bad. Very noisy after 5000km, wear is good (50% at 25000km) ! I'll change for other brand next time...

Given 39% while driving a Rover 400 (185/55 R15) on mostly town for 2,000 easy going miles
Had these fitted to the rear, huge amount of road noise on the motorway. Large amounts of brake dust on the front alloys suggests low grip, from 80% city centre driving. Rear braking was poor on the MOT report.

Given 90% while driving a BMW 520d M Sport (275/30 R19 W) on a combination of roads for 10,000 average miles
These tires cost me 116 pounds fitted which I thought was excellent value for money especially on a 275 30 19 inch tire size. Premium brands were going for 240 pounds fitted and im no tight ass either, over the past 3 years I have been fitting premium brands to my car Michelin PS2, Conti 2 and 3, Pirelli P Zero just to name a few and I thought 'what the hell' let me try a reasonably priced tire or 'budget tire' as some of you put it. I do approx 25k a year and go through a set every 6-8 months I was sick and tired of my tire fitter being my best friend.

After 10k of average driving yes average, the speed limits in this country are 70 mph motorway and 30 - 40 mph town and 50-60 mph country road. And yes I have had the odd illegal blast of 100 mph ++ on motorways in the middle of the night in good weather conditions.

Now in the dry these tires have been good, ok they are not as good as the PS2 or Conti 3 but then again I didn’t pay an extra 100 pounds for that privilege. In the wet I would say that these tires at legal speeds and even up to 100 mph on the motorway are safe and as good as any other tire out there. When you think your as good as Michael Schumacher and want to throw the car around at stupid speeds on country lanes, then yes these tires are not as good as the PS2 or Conti 3 but even then reading some reviews on here the 2.5 Audi guy below is right in his assessment of if you drive like a C*** expect to come of the road like one even with the best tires fitted.

And for the Skoda Driver who spent 8k on repairs? is your car even worth 8K? and to some of the other reviews driving Toyota's etc and cars fitted with 195 tires stating that these tires will 'kill you' hmmmmmmm somehow not I think, as you managed to live and tell the tale. All I can say to those drivers is lets have a proper unbiased review, adjust your driving style to the conditions, learn how to drive properly in the first place, and then submit a review failing that stay off the crack or weed pipes please.

Overall I would say good tire for the money and safe too if you can drive within your capability.

Do winter tire really work in the snow the answer is simple only if on a 4X4. 10 out of 10 for value. Motorway speed limit is 70mph most roads 30,40,50,60mph handles these easily even in wet conditions as said drive sensible and they wont let you down. Halfords fitted 4 through tiresavings.com for £264.00 including balancing disposal etc 12mth guarantee or 12000 miles

Just had my second set of Nankangs. They have the new tire labelling on them and the wet grip is rated as a C. So any other reviews saying they are no good in the wet will be down to poor driving. The C rating I believe is actual fact and not an opinion. Michelins were a B rating though but are 2 1/2 times the cost of these Nankangs. Brilliant value for money.

READ THIS GENUINE REVIEW.

Grip in Dry - 6*
Grip in Wet - 1*
Progressiveness - 1*
Tire wear - 10*

For anyone that is serious about driving and knows how to drive safely at the limit (pushing the car on country roads to the point of traction loss) then DO NOT buy these, they will KILL you and others around you if its wet cold (8c or less) or damp.

If you have a 4wheel drive sports car (evo etc) then you can have some serious fun in these but ONLY if your 4 wheel drive and genuinely know how to save your car when these tires snap off the grip as they let go very suddenly!

For anyone that drives slow/normal and never has to brake hard (people in the city) then buy these as they will last 20,000-30,000 miles.

I tried to wear them down as quickly as possible to change them and they just wouldnt die, i wheelspan everywhere i could and they just stick two fingers up at me!

I hope this review saves some lives, i never crashed on these tires but i can see how the average joe will end up in a tree from not expecting the snap off from the grip and lack of it in the wet.

Given 93% while driving a Renault Clio II 1.2 16v (225/40 R18) on a combination of roads for 10,000 spirited miles
i previously bought these tires for my clio replacing contisport 2s as a tempory measure i kept them on as i was suprised how good they are was just as good if not better then the conti's in ways, ok the ride was harder but allowed a better feel of the car.grip in the dry is very good but in all honesty never realy tried to push them in the wet but never felt in danger at any time (i drive to the conditions of the road and know the limits of myself and my cars). the rim protection is also realy good but could be improved especaly if you let the missus drive lol. wear rate is very good also had these on my clio for around 10k before selling the car and they had plenty of tire left

seen a few stupid comments on these tires saying i spent out 9k on repairs firstly if your doing 90mph into a corner prety much every tire is going to let go, second this people saying my 1.2 would easily spin the wheels maybe because you have no tc (traction control) and would spin even the best tires if you dump the clutch while at full revs at the line.

all in all when you consider the price of these tires they are probaly the best around at there price range and i would recomend these to anybody seeking BUDGET style tires im even about to fit a full set to my bmw e60
