A really good performance dry tire, not so sure in the wet as it let go at the rear end on a round about in wet conditions one time. But i'm still getting used to my car which is a M240i so quite powerful and a little tail happy anyway with all that power and torque. Tire widths are the fronts, rears are 245.35.r18. Much more confortable ride than a runflat tire, so no doubt better for the life of suspension parts as well.

These were the tires that came on my 2024 BMW M240i xDrive. While they do alright they leave a lot to be desired. I just cant seem to trust them. They always handle the job with no drama when loaded up, but it takes a big of G to really get there. They just feel like they’re asleep until a threshold of high grip. On hard launch they dont chirp or bother they just go, hard stops the same. They are serious under pressure but almost always napping off the line. They are eh okay.

Well, only 60km on these tires but I know my tires and drive (test drive) about 100 cars per year so I know what to look for. Every thing Jonathan said about them (for road use) is true. Direct steering, great braking performance and probably the less comfortable option between PS4S, GY SS.... I still need to test it more but from the little I did, it's a great tire (replaced GoodYear SS)

Great overall UHP winter tire. They go on my 2022 BMW M240i xDrive in the fall and come off in the spring using 2 sets of identical wheels year-round. During the summer I run on Michelin PS4S so for several days each year I get to A/B compare this tire against one of the best tires ever made. The only difference in the tires being the front winters are 225/40/19's and the front summers are 245/35/19's. Rears are all 255/35/19's as I run a staggered setup. The major differences between the two tires are the road noise (higher on the Pirelli's) and a little more "sway" in the Pirelli's when pushing the car around bends. What I find impressive though is how well the Pirelli's communicate what they are doing. They have a very linear and predictable feel like the PS4S so I always know how much grip I have left which makes using them in winter more enjoyable as you can really drive the car as intended in the dry. The tires also don't need to be warmed up and feel compliant right out of the gate on a cold start and go. In the rain they behave as expected and hydroplane less than the PS4S do when driving in heavy rain with water accumulation on the road. I also had the chance to drive over a challenging mountain pass road during a snow storm in my first winter on them and really got to experience the difference. The tire was very predictable and kept me out of trouble. Combined with AWD, I felt completely safe and confident and drove right through the storm without any issues.

Bought the Pilot Sport 5 to replace half-worn Pilot Super Sports which, despite being awesome in the dry, were downright lethal in the cold and damp! These came off after about 25000 miles and still had around 5mm tread left!
PS5 First impressions were positive but I came to quickly realise that was down to the old-for-new tire swap! While I've found the PS5 to be good in the cold and wet, it understeers way too much for my liking. The rears in 245/35/18 are now approaching 2mm (after 14 months/less than 20000miles) so any day now I'll be replacing them.

This tire is amazing on the front axle. Grip for days, feedback is great. Fast warmup and doesn't overheat fast on a long track. Went to the Nürburgring and i'm amazed. After seeing the test, everyone concluded that this tire isn't suitable for hard abuse. Let me tell you if your car is setup right. After doing many laps on the ring, tire wear is normal. 245/35/18 is a difficult size. 100% buy again. For daily driving it's excellent. Wet grip is excellent. Couldn't wish any better. Wish they brought out the Potenza Race in this size

Fantastic dry and wet grip! Having 600+hp on the rear wheels they suit perfectly. Sidewall/responsive identical like a premium semi-slick. They snap your neck when on temperature. Putting al the power down in second gear. Only little complain is that they are noisier than most of the tires i've tested. But that just shows how sporty these tires are. Ideal for sporty/track driving

After reading these excellent reviews, i've bought a set of Davanti's for the rear of my M240i. First 100km's were a bit vague but that's what i've experienced with all new tires. After that they perform outstanding. Never thought that I could manage to put all power down with these.. i've tried PS4's / Assy 5's / supersport etc.. but they don't hook like these Davanti's. They do squeel loud when finding traction but that's just the first meters of accelerating. 100% buy again. In the wet, like all other brands you need to be carefull if you put 800nm down..

The first winter tire I had that actually is sporty. Before I really didn’t like driving spirited with winter tires. UHP summer tires are still better in that aspect, but this is actually quite good. Even though I have runflat versions of this tire, they are surprisingly comfortable. Very good in every condition. Can take some abuse as well and not shred to pieces.

This is the second time I bought this tire. But not for this car. Big fan of this tire. The tires replaced my factory fitted Michelin Pilot Super Sport. I needed a tire for better wet grip, because I daily my car. Huge improvement in wet grip and aquaplaining without really sacrificing dry grip capability. Comfort level is higher. Very good wear considering I often drive sporty. The only downside is the lack of feel what the tires are doing. They also don’t feel sporty, although very capable in every condition. Still don’t regret buying them one bit.

Writing about the Vredestein Wintrac Pro given 93% (225-45-17-)

Winter time. Came from Michelin PS4 summer tires. When changing to Vredestein Wintrac Pro straight away i've noticed it handles like the Michelin. Very stable, tight handling. Grip is amazing. Having a Stage2 M240i with 480bhp. Accelerating from 0 is spot on. Almost no wheelspin! And that for RWD!! In wet it feels very confident. No issues at all. First day of big snow, I went for a big trip with my buddy. Leaving the parking uphill, it went like on dry surface. My buddy took 30min to finally get free. Just proves how amazing the Vredestein is. And really shows a wintertire is the best choice in these winter condition. Trust level 100. Wouldn't choose any other tire than this. You wont regret it
