Mercedes Benz E220Cdi Tire Review Highlights

Good tires, strong sidewalls, good grip in Wet and dry.

Writing about the Lassa Snoways 4 given 88% (245-45-17-)
Driving on mostly motorways for 12000 average miles
I was skeptical at first. The tire looks heavy but surprisingly it is consuming less fuel than the goodyear asymmetric 3(which are completely garbage).
I am very satisfied so far, I have not tried them on snow and ice yet. I would buy them again.

Driving on mostly motorways for 15000 average miles
Completely deformed tires after 1 year of usage. Try to balance them 2 times, but after some kilometers you still can feel terrible shaking, strongly don't recommend this tire to anyone. I'm very disappointed with Goodyear, I will not buy Goodyear tires anymore for sure.

Driving on mostly motorways for 5000 easy going miles
I bought those tires in October 2021. Overall, the tires were amazing, on par with Michelin X-Ice North 4, which I have on my other car. Most of the time, the tires were used on highways mixed with relatively little city driving. The driving style was gentle, as the car has always on ASR, that makes sideways driving unpredictable.

After about 5k miles, there is still a lot of rubber to go, but the studs have given out. They work perfectly fine when accelerating/braking, but they have turned into skis when cornering. The studs are rectangular in shape and the sides of the studs have rounded off, making them not grip on ice on lateral motion. I found it out when I was driving on black ice on a windy day and an oncoming truck caused the car to fishtail at 45MPH.

I really liked those tires, but I can not recommend them due to the stud rounding out issue.

Driving on mostly town for 5000 easy going miles
I drive MB E220d All terrain 4matic, front tires are 245/40R20 and rears 275/35R20. Fitted them in July and made approximately 5000 km with them. Dry grip is good, I am not a sporty driver, driving style covered in written mileage is mostly highway and b roads as well as city driving. Driving in wet is little slippery until they don't warm up, afterward is very good. Regarding wear, after 5000 km I don't see any signs of wear. Overall I am very satisfied with ttires especially with price I have bought it for.

Driving on mostly town for 6500 average miles
I have Barum Bravuris 5hm 245/45/17 on a Mercedes Benz E class, at first they seemed ok,after 10.000 km the noise is unbeliveble, I can not stay in the car any more with these tires, it's like an air plane taking off... At first I thought I had a damaged bearing on the front axle,I can feel the vabrions in the steering wheel and on the pedals, even on the floor of the car, I checked ..they were ok, I went to check the aligment ..it was ok, everithing was green on the screen... When temperature outside is above 33 degrees the noise dissapears almost 80%. When temperature outside is between 15-25 degrees it's the worst, the vibration starts once I get to 40km/h, it sounds like a really damaged bearing.. and I have all 4 tires Barum Bravuris

Were on the car when I bought it and have hardly any wear but am replacing these regardless after they have tried to kill me several times....these are by far the worst tires I have ever had. I am unsure why these are even legal in the UK!!! In the dry these are mediocre at best but in the wet you would be as well having slicks....grip is non-existent and as far as aquaplaning.... I am swithering whether to have sails added to my merc to save fuel. Please DO NOT EVER buy these tires regardless of how strapped for cash you are. They are downright dangerous!! AVOID!!!!! I rarely do reviews but genuinely hope this saves lives!

Driving on a combination of roads for 1500 average miles
Had these on for 1500kms. True to what all earlier reviews had mentioned, though this is rated as a UHP tire, they are surprisingly quiet. So quiet that I started noticing some minor creaking sounds when driving that wasn't there previously (drowned out by previous tire noise). Was running Dunlop, Goodyear, Michelin previously on my W212 E220 CDI and nothing comes close to providing an overall positive experience as these. Wear rating of 280 and married to my stage 1 tuned high torque, RWD sedan, I will be happy to get 25K kms out of these with regular rotation. And being slightly cheaper than the top end UHP, I would say though they are not the cheapest, but definitely they are value for money for the enjoyment they provided at this price point. I am a converted supporter for Yokohama tires and will definitely look at these again when time comes.

It came new together with my Mercedes E220D and handling on both wet and dry traction is great... but the noise level will comes in as it start wearing down on thread.
