Very impressed with the performance of the tire, especially in the wet conditions, absolutely unbeatable, cornering and breaking on point. Tires are also quite quiet, at least in this tire size. The biggest issue with this tire is the wear, very very bad, did like 6-7k km this season and they are already at 5.5 mm tread depth, the fact that the new ones have only 7.1 mm is really not helping either. Pretty much you are sacrificing the tire life for the performance, some people might prefer it, but not me. They might hold up for another season, but that would be it, quite disappointed to be honest. Probably wouldn't buy them again and would rather go for the previous generation since the performance is not that much worse, but tire life is better. In terms of price, at least in my country (Croatia) they are quite cheap compared to other premium brands like Michelin and Conti.

Tire performed excellent from new fitted in the spring, but now when the roads are wet and full of leaves its time to change to winter set. I was shocked when i took them off. Front tires are barely above the legal limit. I have never had a tire that wears that quick - one season cca. 10000km average driving style (150bhp isnt that much). The grip was excellent in all weather conditions and it gave me confidece going a bit over the speedlimit on the highway in pouring rain. Comfort wise as much as you can expect from this dimension. But I cant forgive goodyear the wear. They are not so cheap to replace every season. Will try something else next year.

Good in the wet

Brief review with intention to update later. So I am using these tires on a Suzuki Swift Sport 1.4 ZC33S. Standard tires are CSC5 with size 195/45r17 on the OEM 6.5J width wheel. I upgraded to new wheels with 7.5J width. Suits the car really well by the way. On to the tires. Only used for 300 KM, of which the last 200 KM were spirited and in ideal conditions (dry and 20 Celsius). Grip levels have improved in every sense compared to the CSC5 which was at 4-5mm. Traction coming out of corners is hugely improved. The car is absolutely on rails. The suspension setup probably is the bottleneck now. The only difference I can notice is that under heavy braking, the car feels different than before. It feels less sharp even though the braking is every bit as good. It is as if you can feel the tire is more pliable and supple. But it could also be because the tire is so new. Top marks for dry performance so far. I was very happy with the price too.

Very pleased with these tires, I've been running Continental Sport Contacts 3 through to 5 over the years and have been very pleased with them. However, so fat the Goodyears have taken it up a notch, perhaps not in ultimate dry grip but in feedback it's a fair leap. My car is heavily modified producing circa twice the factory power so good tires are essential and these do provide outstanding grip and feedback Wear is a bit of an unknown as I've only put a couple of thousand miles on them so far. One strange thing with these tires though, most, if not all new tires I've used on various cars over many years come with 8mm tread from new. The Goodyear's come with 7mm tread (interesting that some reviews state they have 7mm tread after 5k miles etc) I'd be interested to know if there is a technical reason for this lower tread from new or if it is simply to have customers replacing sooner. I always replace at 3mm tread as performance starts to drop of significantly at this point so Goodyear's despite all the positives only give me 4mm working tread, interesting.

Switched over to these from the cheap budgets my car came with and they have made my car feel like a completely different motor, the road noise is almost non existent and the dry grip is fantastic I feel a lot more glued to the road

Wow. Why have I spent decades driving on touring tires as recommend. The car just drives better, it's hard to describe unless you have experienced it for yourself. Go on treat yourself , life's to short.

Bought these thinking they were just gonna be a sporty upgrade, but turned out to be SO comfortable for bumps and highway driving too

The best tire for sporty driving, but not so good for comfort.

Changing from F1SS to F1A6. I could not hit the limit of F1SS, its handlig was too good for me. F1A6 gives me more quiet and comfortable feeling than F1SS, with handling not less than F1SS I drived.

After driven 5000 km all in dry conditions , I really dont know what the manufactuer had on their goals when they plan this tire but definately its not an UHP tire at all. Grip is ok but for a fresh new tire is expected but pretty much an understering apears when cornerning. Braking is ok but not something extraordinary .Tested at a bit high speed after a little hard braking the car seems to behave unsteable (lower the front edge too much). Although i drive a car with a sport suspension, due to the way the design of the tire to increase the impact patch during turnings, braking, or passing roads malfactions the tire behave as an extra suspension in uncordination and as the tread is soft the car feels unsteable again. So i prefer driving far away from the car limits because i am confident on how the tire reacts . The only positive i see is that it is very comfort tire with low noise soft and light with low rolling resistance and less fuel consumsion. At the end this is not a sporty tire and with less wear than As5.

I have 225 45 r17 asymmetrical size 6, the tires are quite quiet, but the comfort is terrible, it is difficult, do not buy if you want comfort. But if you want full performance, the best tire you can buy is already #1 in the test. Dry cornering performance and dry braking performance are legendary. They do very well in wet conditions.
