215/55 17 Tire Review Highlights

Pirelli Cinturato P7 C2 rated 90% while driving a Skoda Octavia
Driving on mostly country roads for 10000 average miles
after reading reviews bought these to replace horrible factory fitted goodyear efficient grip which made a hollow, humming ringing noise on most road surfaces. What a transformation. The Octavia is now as quiet as the previous passat I traded in. They are also wearing well (about 1mm per 9000km ) so I hope they keep making these as I'm not risking any other brand while I own this car !

Michelin CrossClimate Plus rated 13% while driving a Chevrolet 2015 chev Cruze diesel
Driving on a combination of roads for 5000 spirited miles
the fitment of 215/55 17 is for my 2015 Chev Cruze diesel (purchased new ). This vehicle came with Firestone tires ( l forget what model they were) and they without a doubt the worst tires l have ever experienced, not only in traction and ride comfort but they had a slight flat spot which l could not rectify as a result of which a swapped them out for Goodyear tripletred assurance tires. The Goodyears were fine but l never really fell in love with them and when l saw the Michelin cross-climate l had to try them. All l can say is yes they are expensive but nothing even comes close and the Cruze feels like a different vehicle, to say the least bravo Michelin.........gri

Bridgestone Ecopia EP300 rated 77% while driving a Honda Accord
Driving on mostly town for 0 miles
Dry in 160kmh is good
Wet in 130kmh is good as well
Handling not bad, but previously with toyo proxes did provide me better handling

Nexen N Blue 4 Season rated 87% while driving a Suzuki SX4 Scross 1.4T Boosterjet
Driving on mostly town for 0 average miles
Great tires for the price/quality ratio. Quiet and comfortable. The car is predictable in dry and wet handling. I have no experience with them on snow. If they do well this first winter for them, I will buy them again. Version XL.

Debica Navigator 3 rated 75% while driving a Fiat 500X
Driving on mostly town for 1000 easy going miles
when getting through winter, i have chaged 18" rims with 225/45 bridgestone t005s to 17" 215/55 navigator3s. t005s were new, bought the fiat 500x hybrid recently. it is a very noisy, harsh but sure footed 1000 km experience. With debicas, i hear almost no rolling noise, battery charges faster, pothole comfort is there ( not forgetting 18 to 17" effect ). Braking needs some reserve with navigator3s on dry for sure, there is a strange feeling of lack of bite at the end of breaking pressure, obviously, comfort has a trade-off. With wet and snow experience, i will update here

Dunlop Sport All Season rated 81% while driving a Suzuki Vitara 1.4 GLX Mild Hybrid AllGrip
Driving on mostly motorways for 44000 spirited miles
After 70.000 Km with these tires, the time has come for them to be replaced. Mostly driven on motorways. Very good tires, very steady performance, without any unpleasant surprises until the end of their life. For sure they have become much harder, but this is natural. The grip on dry is very good. The wet performance also very good. On ice they performed better than expected, although I use all season tires for the first time.

Triangle EffeXSport rated 81% while driving a MG ZS EV
Driving on a combination of roads for 13000 spirited miles
Honestly I expected very little and got far more than I paid for. Sadly, I lost 3 of 4 tires after some debris in the road damaged them beyond repair on a Friday evening; recovered to the nearest garage who could only offer these tires off the shelf or wait until Monday, which wasn't an option when I was 200 miles from home. Being a B/B rated tire gave a little more confidence. I went for the full four for the sake of simplicity and ensuring even wear. Having been fitted for 6 months and 13k miles, the overall view is that they exceeded expectations; dry grip is as good as the OEM Kumho that came on the car from new, wet grip is very close but feels slightly more numb than before, tread life is about the same, road noise is slightly more BUT by just a hair, and ride comfort is pretty much on par. Fuel/energy economy doesn't appear to have been affected either, despite them being fitted to an EV which are generally very sensitive to rolling resistance. Factor in the cost of around 15% less per tire than the Kumho that were replaced, I see this as a positive so far. I'm never a huge fan of budget tires, as I see that the value of safety is higher than the value to my wallet, but in this case I had little choice, but the gamble paid off.

Continental UltraContact UC7 rated 84% while driving a Honda Odyssey
Driving on a combination of roads for 55 spirited miles
After 55,000 km the tires were slightly with bulging surface. Maybe about time to change to new tires. Overall I am happy with UC7 especially on the comfort level.

Continental UltraContact rated 27% while driving a Suzuki vitara s 1,4 boosterjet
Driving on mostly town for 2200 easy going miles
The worst tires i ever bought. Just after 7 months of normal use one of them had a tearing. The continental in Greece refused to replace!!!!So I paid 160 euros to replace it. DO NOT BUY THESE GARBAGE, as you will never hava back up from this company. Please buy all othet type of tires but NOT CONTINENTAL

Bridgestone Turanza Serenity Plus rated 100% while driving a Honda HRV
Driving on a combination of roads for 0 easy going miles
They really are quiet! Bought to replace the factory Dunlops on my HRV. Hondas are very loud cars especially on course highways so did a lot of research and bought the Turanza Serenity's on a 4 for 3 special. Its totally changed the car, its now much quieter and there is no ROAR on the highway. If you have a HRV just get a set and enjoy the Serenity.

Continental EcoContact 6 rated 87% while driving a Suzuki SX4 Scross 1.4T Boosterjet
Driving on a combination of roads for 6000 spirited miles
These tires came on my new Suzuki S-Cross (AWD.) I was very happy with them until I tore the sidewall on one of them after 10k km. They are great on asphalt, and very quiet; I drive fast and aggressively and they never let me down, no slipping, no aquaplaning, nothing negative to comment. However, they are not good if you habitually drive on gravel or any terrain with slightly sharper stones. Since I do that very often, I'm now getting five AT tires which will hopefully last much longer (though fuel consumption and noise will be much worse than with the Conti's).
