Goodyear Vector 4 Seasons Gen 2
WatchThe Goodyear Vector 4 Seasons Gen 2 is a premium all-season touring tire that consistently shines in wet and wintry conditions. Real-world drivers and independent tests agree it offers reassuring wet grip, strong aquaplaning security and genuinely capable snow traction that makes it a dependable year-round choice. Comfort is generally good and it tends to deliver solid mileage, making it an easy alternative to running separate summer and winter sets. The main compromise is in warm, dry conditions where it can feel softer and less precise, with dry braking not matching the very best.

Questions and Answers for the Goodyear Vector 4 Seasons Gen 2
Ask a questionAre Goodyear Vector 4 Seasons Gen 2 M+S marked?
As a set of winter specific tires for the South West of the UK, would you recommend these or the more summer biased Michelin Crossclimate+? I have Michelin PS4s for summer, so winter performance in ice and the odd bit of snow is important but without the full winter tire downsides.
Are Goodyear Vector 4Seasons Gen-2 tires all run flats or is there an option for a regular non run flat version?

Review Summary
Based on 43 user reviews
Drivers generally report the Goodyear Vector 4 Seasons Gen 2 as a strong all-round all-season tire, especially praised for secure wet-road grip and very capable snow performance that helps keep cars moving in winter conditions. Many higher-scoring reviews also highlight good comfort/low motorway noise and impressive wear life for an all-season tire. The most consistent downside is a compromise in warm/hot dry weather, where the tire can feel soft/floaty with reduced feedback and longer braking/less confidence when pushed.
Strengths
- Strong wet grip and confidence in rain/cold conditions
- Very good snow traction (often close to a winter tire for typical use)
- Comfortable ride quality
- Generally low road noise for many users
- Good wear life/long mileage for an all-season tire
- Stable
- Predictable all-season performance and convenience vs swapping summer/winter sets
Areas for Improvement

- Longer dry braking and reduced dry grip when hot or driven hard

NB. This are my first all season tires so not much to compere outside seasonal tires.
Would fit again if the price hadn't gone up £100+ per tire.
In comparison to the original Michelin Pilot Sport and Dunlop Sport Maxx it's had, there is definitely less wet and dry grip but that was expect being an all season but not to a detrimental level.
Noice wise, in Europe these are pretty much silent on the motorway. In the UK: M25 it's unbearable (due to road surface). General M6, M4 not really an issue.
Wear has been 27,000 over 2 years, could keep the 3 going for another few thousand miles if I wanted as they're at about 3mm but the alignment of my wheels has taken the one down to 2mm.
Wet traction is especially poor leaving the car scrambling for grip under acceleration in wet conditions.
Comfort is poor with harsh ride and noise. Doesn’t help that they collect numerous small stones in the tread blocks.
Snow traction is adequate in fresh snow.
Traction on compacted snow is less than ideal but better than a summer tire.
Wear rate is low. I can’t wait to wear them out so that I can justify replacing them.
