Ford fiesta Tire Review Highlights

Writing about the Nokian WR D4 given 96% (175-65-14-)
Driving on mostly town for 30000 spirited miles
Best winter tires! Period. I had these WR D4 for 5 years on my 2010 Fiesta and I even used them during 3 summers and they still have some tread. I would choose them even over Conti or other premium brands! You cant go wrong with these winter tires at least at the 175/65/R14 size. Got them at a very good price I will definitely buy them again!

Writing about the Falken ZIEX ZE310 EcoRun given 76% (205-40-17-)
Driving on a combination of roads for 20000 average miles
Only had these for about 20,000km - but still 5mm tread left.
Very reliable in wet and dry, decent feedback and comfortable as well as decent MPG return - I would definitely buy these again.

Writing about the Hankook Ventus V12 evo2 given 74% (195-55-15-)
Driving on mostly country roads for 30000 average miles
First 10,000 ~ 12,000 miles were impressive. While cornering i noted a slight tendence to understeer on slippery under some conditions where regular tires (i drive other car with "economy tires") behave as they should. Breaking under wet conditions (straight) is quite good but when slightly cornering and breaking story could be different activating other car systems (ABS, TCS or ESP). Wear, visually, is not very noticeable but it does in perfomance so i understand this is a normal condition on "mid-tier" UHP tires however this is why after 20,000 miles i will another set of new Ventus in my car, yes i will buy them again.

PS - OEM tires were Hankook Optimo H426 which used to have limited contact with the road. :P

Writing about the Michelin CrossClimate Plus given 91% (195-50-15-)
Driving on a combination of roads for 21000 spirited miles
Pros:
Excellent dry cornering and braking
Very good on snow and ice
Even with occasional faster driving the tires have lasted over 20,000 miles and still have between 3/4mm of tread left.

Cons:
Does not perform particularly well in the rain. Car gets pulled around a lot by standing water. However, it does feel in control when letting off the accelerator as it slows down.

Driving on a combination of roads for 70 spirited miles
I have a ford fiesta ecoboost and do spirited driving daily in South Africa. These tires have lasted me easily over 60 000km. They are strong and deal with potholes with no issue. Grip is substantial in dry but I don't feel as confident in the wet. All in all I would definitely buy again for the price!

Writing about the Toyo Proxes CF2 given 90% (195-50-15-)
Driving on a combination of roads for 12000 average miles
put a pair on the front roughtly 18 months/12000 miles ago and about to have the rears changed to the same. compared to the other tires we've had on our Fiesta (Pirelli, Kumho, Arrowspeed) these Toyo CF2s are by far the best. they are lighter on the steering and very positive when pushed through corners, comfortable and less noisy plus the wear rate looks good too. the only negative I found is that they need quite a long time to scrub-in and come up to full grip, roughly 1500-2000 miles.

Writing about the Hankook Ventus Prime 3 K125 given 80% (195-45-16-)
Driving on mostly country roads for 17000 average miles
The performance of these tires was better than expected and were purchased in late November 2021. They hold the road well in most conditions when the air temperature is above freezing. In terms of handling, we haven't experienced any issues. I have just replaced the front tires as they were reaching end of life. The rear tires are still going strong. Approximately 17000 road miles, I'm not unimpressed!

Writing about the Matador MP 62 All Weather Evo given 63% (185-60-14-)
Driving on a combination of roads for 30000 easy going miles
It's an okay tire overall. It is neither stiff nor soft, it handles okay but there is little feedback from the road. In wet conditions it could be a little better as the car understeers easily. In light snow and ice it's very good for an all weather tire. It has lasted 40000 km before it started to crack on the sidewalls . My only problem is that it can be very very noisy epsecially in high speed. I'm not gonna buy it again mainly for the rolling noise.

Writing about the Tigar High Performance given 91% (195-50-15-)
Driving on mostly country roads for 20000 easy going miles
I have these tires for about 30000 km. They are very good in dry and wet conditions, especially in aquaplaning. They are also soft and comfortable. Tigar is a Michelin sub company

Driving on a combination of roads for 500 spirited miles
After a few heat cycles the tires are reasonable in the dry - once they heat a bit, they hold very well. In the wet conditions its not really a tire to drive...just to get to the destination. A little loud but not dramatically. To buy or not? It depends. If you can opt for Toyos new (200TW) R1R / new TR1, I would select them over any other tire for track / daily+track use (respectuvely) - these two are great in the wet.
