195/60 15 Tire Review Highlights

Maxxis MA P5 Mecotra rated 75% while driving a Honda Civic
Driving on a combination of roads for 600 average miles
In my opinion, this tire punches well above its weight. For a budget category, it offers excellent value for money. No.1 highlight: comfort. It has plushy drive feel, soft but surefooted, and it is surely the quietest tire I've ever had (even beating premium brands performance models). They're really super quiet. I put them through proper test in Asian mountains (after 800km ridden), which included descending long steep slopes on narrow road with tight corners in the middle of the storm. The grip was totally satisfying with zero sketchy moments, inspiring confidence. I had to remind myself again and again what the price of these is. The only setback is that the rolling resistance seems to be higher (as common with other Maxxis's, e.g. bicycle tires). But again, it's a budget tire, and I'm really impressed overall.

Michelin Primacy 4 rated 73% while driving a Mitsubishi Lancer 1.6 16V (2003 2008)
Driving on mostly town for 13670 average miles
Coming from BluEarth AE50, Falken ZE914 and Kumho PS31, this Thai made Primacy 4 is the quietest set of tires I have ever owned. On nicer paved roads, it's really a silent on a Japanese ride. But on roads with poorer condition, it is still noisy for me. Dry braking distance is noticeable longer but still able to stop in time during emergency. On heavy rainy days, I can maintain speed limit confidently on the highway. Aqua planning is great. Can't really feel the steering pulling to one side when driving through puddle. Road feedback is average, but you won't feel like you are losing control at 140km/h on Malaysia highway. However, I feel it is still short on comfort even on stock suspension setup with all newly replaced original parts. Inflate to 2.1 bar, the car is bouncing everywhere like a boat. Inflate to 2.3 bar, the ride is extremely harsh on uneven Singapore roads like I am on coilover. Other than this bumpy/bouncing issue, it is a great set of tires. Now at 22,000km and 4 years old, noise level and grip are still good. But have to look for other brands as good 15 inch tires are hard to find these days.

Kleber Dynaxer HP4 rated 60% while driving a Mitsubishi Galant sport sedan 2.0 (EA2A)
Driving on a combination of roads for 1500 average miles
Generally, it's ok tire.
Advantages:
Comfortable ride, good dry grip, wet grip fine, driving noice pretty good.
Cons:
Wear very quickly, tire side get very dirt accompanying with typical color. I did not use my car often but after 4 years of use I started to see a drying cracks, this is not typical for premium tires. Mid-range tire.

Excellent tire. In the rain, the water flow is impressive. Dry is also good.

Driving on mostly town for 1000 spirited miles
I like these tires overall they have a nice steering feel with good feedback for a tire of this type, but they could use a bit more snow and ice traction.
Dry grip is slightly above average with moderate understeer at the limit, wet grip is impressive with above average braking.
Cant comment on wear since I've only had these tires for 1000 miles

MRF Perfinza CLX1 rated 91% while driving a Honda Unknown
Driving on a combination of roads for 12000 average miles
Switched over from Yokohama C Drives, these tires are miles ahead in terms of grip on the limit. I have rarely had ABS kick in on my Honda City 1.5 Ivtec. The only times it has happened is when I was on dirt covered roads in rural India. High speed lane changes in express ways are absolutely fuss free. Have been using the tires for 3 years and 25000 Kms. Seems to be good for atleast another 20000 kms at the moment. Also, when driving sedately, tire noise is well controled even after 3 years. Overall, I am very happy with the tires and would definitely go back to them again.

Nexen N Blue HD Plus rated 90% while driving a Opel Astra G 1.6
Driving on mostly motorways for 31000 average miles
I bought these in 2018 for my Opel Astra G 1.6 16V 101HP and after 50000 kilometers I think they can last at least 8-10k kilometers more as they look nice and with no cracks at all. They've been taken through all kinds of weather and asphalt conditions, I've even driven on gravel and dirt and they've never gave me a problem, they are also quite comfortable as they are one of the quietest tires in the market. I strongly recommend them for non-performance cars like mine.

Michelin Energy XM2 rated 64% while driving a Chevrolet Lacetti
Driving on mostly country roads for 1500 easy going miles
It is very noisy and hard... when compared to my previous bridgestone ecopia 300 and continental cc6. Makes your steering wheel feels bumpy and harsh. Not comfortable at all.. very disappointed. Will stay away from these for sure. From an experienced skillful driver of 40 years. Michelin XM2plus is really an over rated tire. It is like riding on non-pneumatic tires. Takes uneven road surfaces very badly. The worst by far!
